Harmony - looks more blue in the photo than it is

They do multiply but stems are very close together & at a much slower rate.

South Hamilton, MA

At least some grass is there.

Our Pixie is dark purple; Harmony with blue shades.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks for the info on the white reticulas, Iris....I did order a yellow, but it's danfordiae, not reticula....don't know if they have the same bloom time or not.

Thomaston, CT

This is strange....as I raked out the southside bed yesterday, I found a sweet pea growing....must have reseeded, because all mine were planted on trellises, & they were killed in the frost......

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I have never ordered Helles and this company will get a repeat visit.
Especially when DD saw them and said"Are you planting them under the pines in front?"
I forgot there was space there. la la la la

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Give Deer Resistant Plants a shot. Great guy and nice plants. Got most of my hellebores from him.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks for the tip I definatly will.I got plants from him on 2008. All great.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Do you cut down the old foliage from the hellebores?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, Deb. This time of year when budding.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks Victor

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Any time. They get ratty by this time and removing it also keeps the focus on the flowers.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Great looking hellebores, Jo! As you obviously know, Pine Knot is my favorite place to get them. Huge selection! I'm glad you posted a picture of them.

Thomaston, CT

Oh, didn't know that! Thanks....lovely looking plants, Jo. Pam, hope you don't mind the 10" of snow forecast for Cornwall!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks for the trimming tip Victor.Mine look ratty so thats a job for tomorrow.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Wear gloves while doing it. Hellebores can cause a rash.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

How in the heck did I miss this thread???!!! Wow....love those spring beauties! Jen, you've really got a lot of things going on there! Very cool!

Amy!!!! So glad to see you back posting again! I hope you like your new locale! How are things in the theater world??? Welcome home!

Robin - how sad to see the damage to your gardens! Better stay indoors for awhile!! I guess you'll just have to go out and buy some new plants! Won't THAT be painful......lol!
Seriously, it hurts to lose garden friends, but you just have to spend your way out of the pain!

Debi - that shade of blue is unreal!! just beautiful!

Jo - pretty!!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)
