Weather in your garden # 91

rain was helpful, but we still have some more snow to melt.

I only have a few very small areas of snow.

Got my new spikes already. Look like something from the inquisition. Already threatened my kids with them.

some beds clear, others still snow covered, although not a deep cover. Icy. I think the rain has stopped, now we need the sun out.

they had one video with the helicopter views on news 12 this morning.. it's real bad.. but I couldn't find the video online

We had a pothole develope from all the rain on I-95 that took out a few cars.
Ford Fiesta had two flat tires and a bent wheel after encountering the pothole.
SUV flipped over after it hit the pothole and launched the vehicle into a guard rail. The vehicle flipped completely over and came to rest on its wheels, the driver was not injured.
The pothole? The hole was about 15 feet long, 2 feet wide and 8 inches deep.

oh lord my crack head ex co-worker is shaking the governor's hand ... the guy had 3 or 4 dwi's already... got busted going to a giants game drunk from the night before and had an 8 ball in his back seat.. that it lets put NJ finest talking to the gov... sheesh

Well, I've been mostly senseless to the weather until now, but it turns out we really didn't have it that bad. Local creeks reached flood stage, but the worst of it was across the river in Ulster County. We only had 1.69 inches. Today the sun is supposed to come out and it'll be 58 degrees and I can't even do any work outside. Boo hoo. I am now bored.

37° & sunny. Some beds are clear of snow but DH found 9" still on some others, including the one which has arilbred irises which are descended from desert plants. The plants of those clear of snow seem to be all right. However there doesn't seem to be pressure ice under the snow.

37 right now, going up to 50! Partly sunny......still some snow patches, but after this week should be totally gone! Yay! Don't forget to set clocks ahead tonight.....

All snow gone, making lists, checking twice.....spring has almost sprung!

Still covered here too but more melting going on every day. ^_^ We hit 47 yesterday!!!!

Pixie!!!! I just checked the early germinated poppies you gave me. Seeds sprouted and lived thru the winter.
Snow is nearly gone here from last night. Temps in the 50's -60's mid week.Things should be poppin even more.

52° here, wind from the Southwest at 17 mph and it's partly sunny outside.

Reached our high of 53° about an hour ago, temps dropping now and it's clouding up. Possible shower tonight as the temps dip to 37°, windchill will be 25°.

34 at the moment, going up to 46 again today! Wooo-hooo MELT snow MELT!

we are at 43.. going to 50... more flooding today.. going to work this week is going to be a blast

I cant believe its really spring.
Just when you cant stand another inch of snow.
Cool here today but sunny.That always sends me outside. Too wet to do much but stand and breath.

Glad everyone's weather is getting better.....Allison, the water will go down soon! It's 37 here, & it was raining, snowing, & sleeting a few minutes ago, but that stopped, & it's just cloudy & damp......

I must have seen a couple thousand geese migrating yesterday, they kept coming in waves, with 6-10 V's in each wave, and were flying higher then I usually see. Have never seen so many at once before.

43 & cloudy. DH has gone outside to start shaving the top off the huge snowpile next to the mailbox. the snow is sitting on top of ice.

same weather here - let the melting continue - supposed to get cold again for a day and later in the week could get up to 60. itching to start the spring clean up.

DH found more tree branches down as we can get to different areas. these are west of a riding trail which crosses our property.

40 and cloudy. The snow has melted and taking DD back to school today.

Not spring yet - one more week. DST!!

Windy here today, going up another degree to 52°, dropping down to 31° tonight, just below the freezing point. - Spring begins on March 20th.

On this date in '93, we had a huge blizzard. It was a Saturday and I was at work. Left early and it was crazy. Glass was falling from some midtown skyscrapers.

I was lying on the Beach in Fort Lauderdale, checking out the babes. (lol!)

Turned out to be a fairly nice day.....46, partly sunny, walked for an hour.....quite a sight Debi.....hope they weren't heading here!
