Weather in your garden # 91

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

that water would have been cold!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, Bill, and it was really white water with lots of rocks to break my neck on!

I remember we posted about Yaktrax and Stabilicers. Any favorites??

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i use yaktrax - not for hiking, just down my second story deck and driveway - did use them when i was getting rocks when the pond was iced over and did great with them.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Same here, Yaktrax, but not for hiking (the coils would get ruined in no time), for extreme conditions like hiking with gravel, slippery rocks, etc., I'd use my 'ICEtrekkers'

-which I haven't used in a long time, lol!!

South Hamilton, MA

DH still has his snowshoes handy. I hope not needed as he has been pulling down a couple of pine branches which were off the trees but since the needle end was stuck in snow, they were vertical.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

These look good, if you want to pay $60.

Hi, home from Hosp. No more gallbladder. Left at 6:30 in the sunshine, came home at 2:30 to grey sky, wind, damp. New flood warnings up for tomorrow. More rain on the way. Lucky me I'm allowed to stay home and sit it out. Maybe I'll just sleep all day.
