Lots of rain today. 0.9 inch and counting. Good for the plants and snow removal!

Snow took a dive. Been raining and now coming in sleet, rain, snow. Again the snow took a dive and looking for excessive water.

Watch for hydroplaning when your driving friends.

Ican see most of the yard, still pouring out so I guess I'll see tomorrow the full extent of winter.

patti i am jealous - would love to have the jump start on the spring clean up!

Wham I know, but yours was in better shape than mine to start with. Hope all your shrubs made it through the ice and snow. Plus you can do four times the work of any normal human. I am pleased with all the new areas that are starting to look more maintained yet natural. Patti

Raining! Our creeks are leaving their banks and we have flood warnings. We're supposed to get sleet, snow and ice by morning and the creeks won't crest until about 1:00 tomorrow afternoon. Most of the snow in my yard is gone, but around town there are still those black mountains here and there.

The shrubs that were broken in my yard fortunately were ones that can be hard pruned in the spring anyway, so I'm lucky in that.

What ever the rodent was, I'm relieved to find that the Japanese Maple and other trees weren't touched. I guess I'll learn how to wrap things for next year. I think we had a deep snow cover for an unusually long time this winter. This is totally new to me.
Right now I'm just grateful we had that sump pump installed in the basement because I'm sure we'd have water down there by morning otherwise.

we are now in the 3" of rain band - snow should go fast - flooding of the Nashua River could be a problem.

We have had under 1" of rain so far. that's cause we are east of Bill.

I'm about at the end of my patience.

Rained all day yesterday, is still raining and at 32 to it's slushing up in places. We have a freezing rain advisory and a flood watch in effect.

I hate March.

Wind is from the SSE at 18 MPH gusting to 29 MPH overcast and damp with Temperature is now 48. Off to NYC for a few days. Leaving DH and the dogs home. It will be nice to see our DS and to recover from all the recent yard work. Body needs a break.

Have some tree branches hanging quite low from the weight of the ice, wouldn't be surprised if we lose power.

now that it got brighter outside.. looks like it lightly snowed overnight.. the deck is all white

Frosted lawn and deck. We've had sleet and freezing rain. Ice accumulation so far is minimal and the temperature is still 28 degrees. Got up at 5 am for the early program at school and my DH took the phone call while I was in the shower, announcing a 2 hour delay. Forecast is only for 38 degrees today but maybe it'll melt anyway. We also might see snow they say. Since I have to work, I guess it's not so bad.

Aak! It's snowing!

Wappinger's creek is over flood stage. Not expected to reach the level that floods homes however.

5.5 inches! Some water in the basement. Flurrying now. 31 and cloudy.

36° here, wind from the Northwest at 17 mph, gusting to 24 mph, and it's cloudy and rainy outside.

High winds with gusts to 52 mph last night as several bands of heavy rain rolled through.
There is some flooding this am on the roads which are over-saturated, those nearer the coast were hit the hardest, but it's not extreme, maybe a foot or less..
- Clouds clearing throughout the day today and remaining windy, going down to 21° tonight.

not sure we received the rain they were predicting. still warm - loss power this morning just as i was stepping in the shower - we are on well water - no power no shower.

hope that ice does not cause any damage celeste - that is a lot of rain victor.

I hope that the ice disappears quickly,Pixie. It rained overnight as temp didn't fall far enough. 52 & bright cloudy . Perhaps the sun will peek through today. Daffs are showing near our front wall & the the piles at the end of the driveway look like normal snow piles, 3 feet or so instead of over 5 feet that they have been all winter.

Yesterday we had ice hanging off the roof, its now gone. Now the wetlands have water yesterday it was all snow.

temp has dropped to 43° heavier cloud bank. The tops of the whiskey barrels are appearing out of the snow.

34 and sunny. snow is melting again.

Crazy windy.
