Food for spring

Yup cresent rolls, slit them, put in cheese and wrap them. Never thought they would get ate.

I didn't even need the cheese... but I am sure they wouldn't complain about it.. LOL

LOL In preparation for dinner tonight during our lovely "Spring" weather {anticipated snowstorm} I have started up beef stew in the crock pot. Have everything but the potatoes which I will obtain on my way home from work. "The flowers that bloom in the spring tra la...!"

If anyone was up at 3 am watching World News on ABC you would have seen they have a new app for cell phones. You go to the supermarket and swipe the barcodes. It will tell you where its from, whats in it and give it a grade A,B,C etc. minus or plus. You know like a B+

I would like that....of course, I'll never have one of those phones!

I'll have to look into that. Deposited a check with my phone last night. So cool!

My friend has that barcode app and for awhile couldn't figure out how to stop it from posting the info on FB, so every time they scanned something it would post to their wall...too much information!!!!

I've seen the grocery coupons and discount flyers with the codes for the cell phones too.

Saw the bank apps they look secure, have to look closely at the banks policy for fraud nowadays too, just in case..

My problem with FB is dual - it's mostly BS and they have a horrible privacy track record.

Speaking of hacked. I do ebay and have a paypal account. The Wiki leaks who ever they are said they were going after banks and financial institutions.

I logged into my paypal account and the next thing I was reading that I was sending money to some Ray Renenskab (sp) not only was I sending my ebay payment to this guy but also for my postal shipping. I was having a heart attack at that point.

I got on the phone with ebay and they said it was the guy that took care of the banking for ebay. I said "IT CANT BE" payments that go to ebay has to go to EBAY INC. In an hour or less it was all changed back to Ebay Inc and Postal.

FB was looking to offer ALL your info to marketers. Only after the reaction did they offer an opt-out. That was one of many such instances. Your settings don't mean diddly.

if you use a gps enabled device... put a photo of yourself up.. tag it... your friends tag it.. total strangers can get your address as well

Same with Twitter and smartphone pics.

Your info is out there no matter what you use or don't use.

You have to use some sense when you put in a bank account number. When you give paypal access to a bank account, make it a special account that you use for those types of transactions only.

When you are on FB, you don't have to sign up for every game and piece of nonsense they offer. If you don't want to be hacked, don't sign up for every survey and freebie and such that gives access to your info. It's common sense.

The internet gets us to DG, but it also gets us on databases that almost give away the store. If you haven't opted out of spokeo.com yet, you ought to do it now. There is just entirely too much info on you available to anyone and everyone.

Go with confidence, not fear, and carry a very big stick.

There are some very well constructed Phishing sites which prey on PayPal users.

I agree WC2. Don't shop there. Do your ordering at confirmed sites or send a bank check. If something seems to good to be true, it probably isn't true.

I don't have a bank card, I do all my transactions with a teller....got to keep them working! Pasta & meatballs at a fundraiser...it was very good. However, my DIL's blueberry coffee cake was gone by the time I went to the dessert table :(.....
