Best/Worse/What I did learn today? Chat with friends..

Shirly, Please feel free to say what ever you need to here!! I am new to knowing you , however I know a little about what you are going though. My father has Cancer of the Kidneys and 6 years ago they used Cemo and now he has to go to Dialasis 3 days a week. It is hard on my Sisters as they are there to see it everyday, and now with my mom gone they say he has given up. So please just say anything and everything you need to say and we will support you to the best of all our ablities! Please forgive the spelling,, I am having issues tonight.

Heart just breaks for you both Shirley and Tubby, it is the hardes thing in life to watch your loved one slip away and know there is nothing you can do, it's in the Lord's hands. wiping a tear here...

I could not have said it better than the girls did before me, the thread has a lot of chit chat the high's and low's of our day and that's wonderful, but there is no better meaning to the friendship that we've all developed than the love we've come to feel for each other..and these are not just typed words, I laugh with you, cry with you, feel the frustrations sometimes of not being able to do something for you all when you are hurting but can be there to listen and to pray!

We are all family of the heart, everyone can come here and know they'll be received with open arms...

I'm glad that once Tubby was unable to post and keep us laughing that you felt comfortable enough to know that we are sisters' of the heart..

From all of us and to all of us, a cup of tea and a sweet and a willing to sit with you and hold your hand is always as far as your keyboard..

Good morning Tubby & Shirley! Tubby, I have to ask you....do you ever put peanuts in your pepsi? That was my treat growing up as a girl, just like the Barbara Mandrell song "I was country, before country wasn't cool". I have been sneaking peanuts in my coke/pepsi/RC since I was 5! lol It is good protien for you if you can eat some peanuts too.

Drive safe to work Betty. Spring....aka....SKUNK is in the air this morning, and I know just when he went thru the yard. Huck (cat) saw it and ran from window to window watching it walk down the drive to the back yard last night. Weee hooooo he is a smelly character!

I need to wake up a bit more before I write much....so have a good morning!

Betty you have truly said what all of us feel. I'm praying every day for you and Tubby Shirley and that's been going on for a LONG time now and will continue. We do all truly love each other and even when we don't post every day, we know that the others are there for us.
Betty, I surely hope your day turned around for you. How was your dinner???
Please give Ann big hugs and let her know I'm "with her" in spirit if not in person.
I have the boys today so won't be back for a while. I'll be glad when things quiet down and my time is my own again. I miss talking with all of you.

Good Morning! I have some pics to share.....

This is Steven Teague and Dave getting ready to cut this tree that was in the far back of my property.

This is the big tree they were going to cut down but Steven wanted to get a bigger chain saw first.

Here's a better picture. The ladder leaning up against it on the left is fully extended

We're back to the first picture that's on the back of the property, it was big too but only half the size of that humongous one. I counted 60 rings when they cut it down.

So Steve got a bigger chain saw and came over yesterday morning and...

OMG Crissy, talk about big trees..the reason for them coming down was 'light'???
Are there not logging companies who come in and fell trees and the charge is taking the trees away??? that's a lot of lumber, not what will you do with it all that wood? Sure would be nice to have the wood playned for future use..maybe a surround deck?

That was a big undertaking..wow..bet he was tired last night. Any fingernails left after bitting them all day wondering the outcome?

Barb, my day went very well, most of the gifts I received were $$$, guess everyone wanted me to go on a spending spree in Buffalo..lol..how well they know me!

Spoke with Ann last night, infact she had dropped off the ipad car charger and a card with a beautiful photo of a shrub and said it would arrive just in time for planting..drats, forgot the name..

Can imagine after the past few weeks of being so busy you'll enjoy your quiet time and sewing..speaking of sewing, am hoping to get christmas fabric at Joann's to complete the 3 quilts I'm doing throughout the next few months and for the swap block swap, sure hope they didn't put all Christmas supplies away.

Debbie, don't remember doing the peanut thing but do remember putting ice cream in root beer!!fizzled like crazy.

Debbie how's early Saturday morning at Cracker Barrel???? say around 8a.m. - I'll treat, why, just because I miss those blue eyes and smile and the hug I get..lol..best bring an empty vehicle, between boxes of wood for projects and boxes of books I'll have a vehicle full..lol..do you have brushes and paints??? could include some if you don't..anything else you might like from Canada..ahhh did you get one of those blackboards I made last year for the girls at the reunion, have a bunch left over so could include one...

LindaKay, your teddy box is also packed and ready to travel..it was soooo taped and now I'm thinking your jewelery piece should have been included!

Must say, not everyone will get exactly their color due to my not being able to find deep purple, so what you get is what you get..LOL big time...

I'm starting to worry about Laura, her back was giving her trouble and she was resting it but said she'd go to the doctors on Monday if it wasn't any better..usually she has the morning coffee on and I don't think she's posted since Monday....Laura/Laura need you to let us know how you are doing??

LOL there are several reasons for removing the trees. 1 to keep them away from the house, 2. yes let the light in so I can have a back yard instead of a back forest, 3. I forgot #3 lol

There are lots and lots of logging companies around, and even though it looks like it's a lot of wood, it would barely cover the bottom of one of those logging trailers so no, not cost effective. It's pine so not a lot you can do with it other than use it for a deck, but that brings problems with wasps, bees, carpenter ants, termites, spiders, rodents, and who knows what else, making nests in and under it, plus it would rot pretty quickly because of the humidity.

Betty, I can be at Cracker Barrel at 8:00....and much appreciated to treat me...but no need too! No didn't get a black board as I have no idea what your talking about. LOL If it is taking up space and you don't want it...I would love it.

I am on the run, have to go get some groceries. Started going to Aldi and Dollar General, can't believe all I can save staying out of Walmart for certain things. lol

I have been hand feeding our little ferret for a few days, four hours around the clock, and he just is so loveable...and hanging on. I had to clean his bed, so took an old pair of DDs flannel pjs.....he crawled down the leg of it and went to sleep!

Crissy, that sure is a big tiree! WOW, can't blame Steve for wanting to wait.

Oh Debbie those black boards are absolutely gorgeous! I didn't get to take mine home because it wouldn't fit in my suitcase and I didn't want to carry it on because I was worried that it wouldn't fit in the overhead compartment as those are always extremely full nowadays since airlines charge for checking each bag.

OMG!!!

I just got off the phone with my mom, she's having severe pain down the leg that had nothing wrong with it, the leg that was numb and painful is fine. She called the dr and the nurse told her that's absolutely not normal and to come back, she wanted my mom to come in today at 10:30, mom said she couldn't make it, so the next available is tomorrow at 1:30. She said that maybe she's had too many surgeries too close together, she's still extremely weak and in massive pain in her back also.

I don't understand why this isn't getting fixed and we just go from bad to worse. Seems the medical field has gotten worse with major improvements with medical science and technology, why is it that a dr 20 years ago went right to her problem and 10 different doctors today can't find what's wrong. Something's wrong with that.

Crissy,, my what a big tree you have!!humm had,, lol We have a huge one to about 20 feet from our house it is NOT on our property and is loosing all its bark and is leaning straight towards the house!!!! I keep waiting for it to fall down!! I told my insurance company about it and they said we are covered if it falls, But I theink they will sue the owner of the property. I talked to the city concil about it and they said I have to contact the owner, But noone knows who ones the land!! It was supposed to be a subdivion but the could not purp the land so I have a 20 acre "free"back yard..lol. I do have REPLACEMENT Insurance, so as long as noone gets hurt I say let it fall. I live in a Mobile home and have massive insurance due to all Ralph and my Toys,, You know, a complete leather & sadlery shop, a stained glass studio, and clay room and wood shop to. And all of it is in the path of this tre.. Whew, it will be a mess if it falls. We have tried to suport the tree and winch it more upright, but it still leans our way. I will try to get a pic later.

Thinking of starting a line of these next to the neighbors fence, I cannot stand them and it will really make them mad,, well ,, maybe I should not, They might do worse things than that,,lol

If the land is undeveloped somewhat and no one knows who owns it I would cut it down, if the owner never comes around the owner is not going to notice and all you have to do is shrug your shoulders. We've cut trees down just on the other side and behind the property line because of it endangering the house, no one knows who owns the land beside and behind my house anyway, no one's going to care.

LOL LOVE the pic! Dave's dad is a hoarder and has probably 10 toilets sitting out in his yard, want some???? LOL

Crissy, that was a huge tree. Can you use it for firewood? Bon fires?

We are scared tocut it down because of how close to the house it is and how bad it leans to the house,, I am afraid that if we cut it down it WILL fall on the house and then the insurance will NOT pay,,,what to do what to do,,,got to go ..lunch is here..

I'd go to the municipality and they would know for sure, if it's not been maintained the municipality must come in and remove if a hazzard and charge it to their tax bill!
Wouldn't do any of that here, re cutting trees on a lot, you'd get life with no parole..

Crissy, doctors who operated were aware of your mom's recent surgeries were they not? I can empathize with you for sure, difficult not living in the same community as your mom and want to be closer to offer support and help out where you can...let's hope the specialist can do something for her tomorrow...sending prayers for her and hugs for you!

Crissy, sure hope she gets some relief soon!

Debbie, will bring one along with me, made all kinds when I went to Joyce's for reunion and came back with several of them..trying to purge so if it's ok, bringing all I can to you so that you can purge through it all ..makes for good bonfire..lol

8am it is then, know that HobbyLobby is only about 10-15 minutes from there, near the airport so that would work out fine, perhaps you might even join us...did you finally get wheels???

Sorry Debbie, I have really forgotten more than I knew about them. SADS is the culprit with my memory,,,sigh. lol, seriously there is lots of info on the internet. Just google ferrets and you will be flooded with info.

Debbie, do ferrets usually live a long life..you sure do have a lot of critters...Kris not sure what happening but I've beenon 2 or 3 links and looking for the 'likes' link and it just isn't there.

Betty, not a lot of critters any more. I have lost my rabbit, a 17 year old cockatiel....and now it looks like the ferret soon to pass....within the last four months. Ferrets usually live about 6 to 7 years. This one is close to 8 years old I believe. Down to my cats, dog & moms bird that is possessed by the devil.

I'm sure they've had the best of life with you .. hard to lose our pets..
