Wow - we all posted... 9:47p / 9:48p / 9:49p.... Susan... if your daughter doesn't have children yet... I would think that's what it takes to make them realize what Mommas are about... Sorry, here I am and thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes, you've all made me feel extra special.

Stayed up late last night getting some more jewelery done so I can post on Saturday in Buffalo so had to watch the kiln..then took a few pain killers hoping my head would stop pounding..got up this morning and it looked nice outside, went and had my bathe, omg blizzard going on, so left almost an hours early and thank goodness I did..was the worse drive in this winter, was dead stopped in the middle of the road hoping no one was beside me..white knuckle ride I'll tell you, by the time I got here headache was in full swing ... on the goodside, got invited to lunch today by Suzanne, supper with Greg and Mel, Mike my youngest brother said he'd come this weekend and take me out..oh/oh told him wouldn't be in town but we could do it another day, Darlene said I'd be getting my gift on your side of the border..sister Sharon called, SIL Kim called, Mom called (that's another story!) lol so haven't had a second to myself...

Sorry I made you all worry!

Elf, OMG I love the photo! Girls I was in a t-shirt swap last year and I got Elf's name so made her and her grandaughter a t-shirt...you both look pretty spiffy...

Before I go to the night shift postings I got to tell you about my birthday calls from my family (sibblings)..ohhh best start first with Mom..

She sounded more on top of the world than she's been in a long time, think I told you that, anyway after my HappyBirthday came news about Aunt Muriel and the missing funds. Aunt Muriel went to the bank to find out her grandson opened an account at the same bank as she, not quite sure how, emptied over period of a few months all the money in that account, thank goodness she only keeps uner $5,000 and not her major $$$...anyway, not a penny in that account so bank will put the money back because they carelessly let the cheques go through and they will charge her grandson. Aunt Muriel's adopted daughter (hate to say what I think she is) called her last night and gave her the what for..told her that the grandson was ill and it's not a place to put him, in jail! Aunt Muriel told her it was out of her hands and the bank would deal with it. She told Aunt Muriel that he'd pay her back..no/no, the man doesn't even work..too busy taking drugs...conversation ended by the daughter telling Aunt Muriel she wasn't her mom, now why didn't she tell Aunt Muriel that when Aunt Muriel signed over her house to her...can you tell by how hard I'm clicking the keys on my keyboard and how quickly I'm typing how angry I am...

LOL It's my birthday so I can explode right???? blood pressure going here..lol..Paul just called, then Cathy to wish me happy birthday, lordy, can't see there is anyone else left to call...

So back to mom, she's going on and on how stupid Aunt Muriel is to put up with being robbed, both at home and then at the bank...EXCUSE ME I wanted to shout, she has my 44 year old nephew living with her and he's done exactly the same, robbed her blind, but that's different..before I said something i said I had to run...she said she'd call me tonight but I'm so hoping I won't be home..shaking my head here..

Then Sharon's on, telling me how angry she is about the same issue, Brian (who is staying with mom) is Sharon's son..she says mom is enabling him to be a druggy and a thief..lol


So Mike calls, we talked for 15 minutes, he went on to say how hurt his wife Kim is that mom ran a strip on her because she's babystitting her grandchild, that's she's going to her sisters who is having a hysterectomy for a few weeks to help out and why does she have to clean 12 hours a day every day, no need to have a showroom home..etc.etc. Mike goes on that he calls mom once everyweek an that he just can't do it because she's sooo negative, never a bright light in her life...

So how's that for the first 2 hours of my birthday day...

Ahhh forgot to say the painting girls left a $100. bill on the blackboard with pretty note for me to have a nice day, they thought money would be nice seeing as I'm off to Buffalo on Friday.

Now, I'll just sit still and unwind for a few minutes and will be back to chat and with a smile..

AND just because the phone rings doesn't mean you have to answer it, you have the answering machine, wait until they start talking on that before you pick it up! Everyone leaves you messages so that isn't a problem. You need caller id my dear!

No, never been bothered with high blood pressure, maybe I should get it checked..
HWY 400 was closed better part of the morning...quite a pile up..glad I took back roads and took my time.

Once you have your eyebrows done once it doesn't hurt that bad, and the more you have them done the less it hurts.

I have had a headache all week last week, didn't at all over the weekend, and it came back on Monday, so I'm wondering if me and Betty have the working blues.

I'm glad you took backroads too! That's bad, and that's the only main 'interstate' you guys have!

I got a kick when I was at Epcot at Christmas, was watching all these young things walking with the highest of heels, imagine on cobblestone for 12 hrs....big time ouch

Hoping to get much accomplished tonight after getting home fromGreg's..brought back flat rate boxes from USA so want to pack some of my swaps to shift..so between having supper and doing that it will all but take care of my birthday!

I entered a photo contest on Facebook, however I probley will not win.I need about 30 to 40 more votes and that is so not happening, lol,, So I guess the person who won it last time will win it again, That person has so many more votes than everyone else... sigh.. Ah well maybe next time,,,hee hee. Here is a pic of the picture I posted.

Betty sorry to hear your Birthday didn't start out so good. Glad to hear you made it okay to work and hope the day just keeps getting better. I hope that headache goes soon.

I took Tubby to dialysis and then went and visited with the kidney Dr.. He is such a sweet man, we talked about how Tubby was doing and told me that home dialysis probably wasn't an option. Tubby has too many issues going on and said that we could cut back on the dialysis since he really never has a build up of toxins since he doesn't hardly eat. He will only get it twice a week for now. If things keep getting worse then we can do once a week. We will have to wait and see. His labs really haven't improved that much since the start of dialysis, but hasn't gotten any worse either. He has dropped a bunch more weight. I had his primary Dr. fill out Family Medical Leave Act papers today for me, so he gets worse and I can't go to work it won't count against me. I just worry that he will get weaker to where I won't be able to transfer him in and out of vehicle. So I told Tubby I talked with Dr. and a bit of what we said. We will talk more as the time gets closer, but right now he's still willing to fight some. I won't discourage him, but let him know I'm there to help and stand by him as he makes the decision on what to do. So needless to say it hasn't been the best day, but not the worst either. We can still laugh and joke and that helps relieve some of the stress and pain that I feel as I know I have to face this with my eyes open. It just hurts to see the one you love slowly slip away. Thank God for all of you, I can at least say what's in my heart and and on my mind and you don't have to watch me cry. I know that drives people crazy and I try not to do it, but sometimes it just comes. I can't talk to his girls, they really don't understand and I don't think they care how I feel. They are only worried in what they may not get in the end. Enough on the subject. SORRY!

Well, I have Tubby tucked into bed so I think I'll go there myself as I'm gonna work a few hours in the morning. They have really been busy.

(((Shirley)))) My sweet lady! We are all here for you....and you can tell us whatever you want too....and I think it helps to write things out also, and get them clear in your mind. That is how I ended up using the prayer thread they started when my Mom was ill. It became my therapy to help thru her hard times and slipping away.

I truly love you and Tubby, and pray for you both every night. You are an amazing couple, your love for each other shines through thick and thin....just like the vows said.

It is wonderful you can talk to the doctors if needed in such a free manner. Some these days are so cold hearted and not that upfront about everything.

Make sure you rest for yourself also....Lots of hugs,

Shirley would you quit worrying about what you say, I am pretty positive I can speak for everyone here, you know how we all feel and we are here not only to talk about gardening, but also to help each other out through the rough times, and we all have rough times and need someone to talk to whenever. I can't relate to what you are feeling, but my heart knows and I keep praying and praying for all of you. You don't put a damper on anyone's day, ever, as we would be wondering and worrying about it if you didn't tell us what's going on. Words can't express how we all thank you for your posts, you are a very gracious lady, and we all love you.
