correction... tonight not tomorrow.. looks like Jan is getting beat up this time though

The bit of snow in boston puts it up to 72". 10th greatest amount of snow. I think there were more breaks in the 90s decade of snows. I was also younger. sigh!

In CT this last snowfall put us in the top 5 of snowiest winters....and still more to come! Hopefully, we will not be up to the 115" of '96!

Last night the weather guy said Friday we will have another snow storm.
If the front drifts south we will get snow, if north of us there is a chance for an ice storm like the one we had in 1993.Nearly 30% of all the trees were distroyed, a few beloved 400 year olds in OakHill Country club property.

3*, windy but sunny. It's -4 with the wind chill. I freaking hate winter!

It's 16° here, with a wind from the Northwest at about 10 mph, giving us a windchill of 4°.
We have clear, sunny skies above.

Sunny today with a high of 30° expected, winds will pick up slightly as we get toward nightfall.
It'll stay clear overnight as the temps drop to about 15°.

It was 8 degrees here this morning and not expected to get above 20 today. The wind will be the problem. So, either indoor recess or stand and freeze outdoor recess. Can't wait. The recently exposed ground is barely covered. Maybe we had a total of 3" of snow. Weatherman says rain on Friday and temps in the 40's. My fingers are crossed.

Same forecast here for Friday, rain and warmer. I'd love to see it melt and expose brown dirt, brown grass, anything but white!!!

We had about 4-5". No school - what a joke! They should have had a delay. This morning was pretty bad, but now it is SUNNY and the streets are clear.

Hello, Hollysmac. Haven't seen a post from you before. We are in the same area.

Currently 20 degrees but the sun is shining brightly in WNY.

Nope, not this week. They get the week after Easter.
However, tomorrow starts the senior trip at Jeff's school, so he will be subbing , since pretty much all his classes have seniors. He is really wanting time with them, though cuz the AP tests aren't that far away.

We get Easter break too, but always get Prez week.

Here they just get presidents day off. This year we had a snow storm so they didn't have to go to school anyway. Spring breaks here is usually right around Easter.

So, it's 28 degrees and sunny and white this afternoon. It was breezy all day so cold is seeping in everywhere. I'm just cold. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer but now they have clouds and rain starting Thursday and Friday. But, it's just rain! I'll take rain.

this is supposed to be the week off. However the schools were closed earlier this month so snow could be shoveld off the roof, so they would not collapse. so vacation was canceld since there were already too many snow days. some parents had prepaid vacations so they were allowed to take assignments with them to finish & absences were not to be counted against them.

Oh Man! I'm feeling your pain as I read those cold temps up there still. I hope the days get prettier and prettier very soon!

Bill, I'm glad you got some good material for those wonderful twig bird house stands. I can't wait to put mine back out in time for nesting season! :)

I've been "nipping" a lot lately! LOL.....No! not that kind of nipping! I mean nipping broken china to make mosaic pieces. My Copper Art class was cancelled this week, so that means more time to play with the mosaics!! I've been working outside at my patio table and enjoying the fresh air.
