now we have a high wind watch until tomorrow night... so far so good though

Snow predicted on Monday. Just because some melted, doesn't mean that we need replacement. DH collected some of the large pine branches which had come down in Jan. wind.

Not responding to the 60 and 70 degrees you people got...we didn't even hit 40 here.
In the southern part of the state they made it up to 53 but alas not here in Central Maine.

Robin i'm glad you went to see the doc.....this was nothing to fool around with. It knocked my socks off for 3 days with the raging fever, im still very weak but i've done nothing but sleep since tuesday. Oh, and talk about about instant diet.. DH lost 8lbs. in a week and he's very pleased about that part. I on the other hand didn't need the diet and am not pleased I lost more weight. If that wasn't enough, I missed out on a lobster dinner Thursday too!!

41 now... going only to 44... the wind is nuts already... and I heard the S word for tomorrow

Good morning to you. The winds here kept us awake. I worry about some trees that need to come down. Now snow forecast for Sunday into Monday. I guess if you can't melt the ugly black piles of snow, cover them up.

36° & high winds. Have to go out this morning, but that's it. DH breaking up the snow on the wood back porch. He collected some of the branches which were down. Pine is surely 'soft wood' as more down of them than any other kind.

Currently 24 degrees and cloudy in WNY. It was very windy overnight and we lost power for about an hour starting at 4:00 am. Such fun.

Pixie, I know just what you're going through....I've never been sicker from a bug.....still weak, but I've started to eat......lost 5 pounds, all in my face....looked in the mirror, & got scared! Thanks, all, for your well wishes....very windy here, cold, had a snow squall this morning.....so not looking forward to more snow!

just back from skiing - spent more time moving fallen branches from the trail than skiing

39°, wind from the NW at 36 mph giving us a windchill of 22°, humidity dropped down to 40% and we have partly sunny skies on this Saturday afternoon.

Clear skies tonight with winds subsiding, (but remaining breezy), overnight low expected at 22°. Snow, then snow/rain mix expected for Sunday night into Monday.

wind still making branches twist & sway. A branch down caused a power outage last night, only about 15-20 minutes for us but longer south of here in Beverly. temp is 30°. That is 6° lower than this morning. sunny now.

Got out early as the weather was good. Ground was soft enough to auger, so we planted the 525 Narcissus that I ordered in Jan on a great sale from Bert. They may not bloom this year but very well might. The wind started to pick up, but held off for long enough to get them all planted before it got cold. It was around 44 when we started but is now 35 and the wind is picking up. I also pruned a bunch of spirea and picked up downed branches in the woods. Felt good to be outside. But I did too much and am very sore. Patti

wind is dying down and getting cold 32 now - i was outside most of the day too - got that oak cut up that fell over the wet lands - had to get all the wood off the ice before it froze there.

Wish I could have been outside yesterday....not today....the wind is brutal, just making the worst noises.....on tonight's weather, Worcester had a hurricane force 74 mph gust!

50-60 mph winds here. I heard about the Worcester gusts. No one needs this one or the following snow.

Celeste - hope you continue to get better. It sounds like you and Marilyn had the same thing. That map is frightening! I see Florida is in the widespread category, but I haven't heard of anyone here having the flu. Yikes! Feel better soon, you guys!!

Debi - It must feel very strange to go from such a warm-up to the low temps I see predicted up there in the next few days! Hope you all don't catch colds from the weather changes!!!

-The warm up was just a fluke, make no mistake this is still winter, the 10' mounds of snow still in the parking lots stand as testament to that! lol!

Oh yes, almost forgot...

Presently 26°, windchill 3° over here.
