GORGEOUS

Melting snow is creating a lake on the edge of our property, now I know where the low lying area is...never had this much snow since we lived here.

We have GROWTH!!!! This is in part shade

My snowdrops are about to open. Either today or tomorrow for sure.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Are yours in full sun?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

How exciting to see those green shoots pushing up through melting snow! We are two thirds of the way through our winter stay down here and March is just around the corner. Take heart, my dear pals, we will all be playing in northern gardens before we know it!
Warm here today...we went to the farmers' market this morning while the girls were being groomed....nice tomatoes and huge radishes were the only purchases, except Hank disappeared and showed up with gorgeous bright red glads and now they are splashed around the house.

Thomaston, CT

Oooh, how nice to see an outdoor plant....joy! I saw a tiny patch of grass today where an area had been plowed....wanted to kiss it! Louise, those glads must be gorgeous!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Gorgeous, 54, partly sunny, walked a second 2 miles, then sat out on the deck with an adult beverage for the last hour.

Naugatuck, CT(Zone 5a)

Saw a flying insect outside while on my walk...Spring must be round the corner!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

A good amount of sun, Jen. And sheltered.

South Hamilton, MA

DH got more ice chopped off the driveway. Can see gravel but no plants as yet. He did rescue the packs of soil set up so I could plant the iris seeds. did not get to it before snow. Will work on it now & leave them in the garage. With the 30s coming back, they should have enough cold to germinate in May.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

was so nice to fire up the wood stove & air out the house today... feels good having fresh air in here

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Great night at 51* warm all day.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Skunk is a good sign.

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning, all.

Currently cloudy and 52 degrees in WNY but heading down to the 40's by tonight. It is also very windy. Rain expected for later today and down to the 30's with light snow for tomorrow. The weather roller coaster never stops.

Have a blessed and fantastic Friday, folks.

Naugatuck, CT(Zone 5a)

Cloudy but bright, forecasting 59* today, 18 with wind chill tomorrow! Screwy New England weather.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

43° here, wind from the SW at 14 mph, windchill 35°, humidity 92% and we have partly sunny skies.

Going up to 55° here today, wind will keep it feeling like 49°, clouds breaking tonight, dropping down to 35°.
- Wind advisory in effect from tonight and all day tomorrow, wind gusts to 60 mph predicted.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

41 already. Will be a winner today. But 50 mph gusts and only 40 tomorrow and I will be in the canyons of Manhattan! Ugh.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

into the 60's here today - 30's over the weekend - need to get out back and cut up an oak hanging over the wetlands - should be ok tomorrow - did notice a bit of the stone wall although still have a 1' snow cap and 2 + feet on the ground.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

It will be much windier in Manhattan. (lol)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

52 this am, going down to 40's later today. Most of our snow is gone. I'll take these temps any day instead of the deep freeze of 20's and teens.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I know - that's a wind tunnel.

South Hamilton, MA

46° Sort of cloudy, although there was sun out earlier. got the largest batches of iris seed planted in their boxes. With 4 batches from DH that is 11 different crosses. One large batch has two 2 boxes. I have a couple more to do but one batch of 8 & another of 3, they should go in pots. they will have to stay in the garage until snow leaves their usual trench. Since the only ground we see if the plowed driveway, it will be awhile. However, they will be getting their cold treatment. 30s next week.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

65 and sunny!!! Windows are open.^_^

Naugatuck, CT(Zone 5a)

Warmer outside than inside!

Thomaston, CT

I, too, have the windows opened, mainly to get rid of the germs!

Naugatuck, CT(Zone 5a)

Hope you are feeling better.

Thomaston, CT

Ended up at the doc's today, dehydrated....my DIL stayed with me all day in case I needed to go to ER, but the Gatorade is kicking in!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ugh. Feel better!

Naugatuck, CT(Zone 5a)

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! The first rule of flu.

Thomaston, CT

Now I know....I was drinking water, but that didn't do it1 Thanks, Victor!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sometimes it's not enough.. feel better RD

South Hamilton, MA

Hope that you feel better. says that it is 57°. I don't believe it feels colder to me. Water dripping off the house all day.

Mid-Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5b)

Hi, I'm jumping in. I hope it's okay. Sorry to hear someone's got the flu. Feel better soon.

It was 64 degrees here and enough snow has melted for me to see crocus coming up!

Of course we have a wind advisory and the temps are supposed to drop back down but I had a walk in the park in a t'shirt this afternoon. Heaven.

South Hamilton, MA

plus we don't see any bare ground & will be cold tomorrow. flu seems to be on the last kick. Hang on, everyone.

Mid-Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5b)

What a difference an hour makes. We're having a thunder storm right now. It's raining.
