Looks like I now have another reason to visit Maine again, aside from within the month.
Coffee Break #53 Endless Winter
Some scary moments with my little guy before. The fever was making him delirious. I could not get him to talk. He would just stare blankly. And when he finally did try, almost nothing came out. Then, just weird stuff. Finally, after what seemed liked forever, he snapped out of it. Frightening.
I bought Randy the playstation move for his upcoming birthday... gave it to him early so we can practice before the kids get here and kick our butts... LOL

I have to say the gladiator fighting... got me all hopped up.. LOL... a "yeah take that" moment for sure... good aggression therapy after a long bad day
ooohh sorry to hear that Victor... hope all is well
Things like that CAN be scary, Victor. Hugs to your little one.
You go, Allison. 'Take that'
We also like Maine. There was a great restaurant in a barn near Wiscasset (I think) in the early 70's that we liked. Of course, going down to the docks for 'fresh' is great too.

Hope he feels better soon Victor, I know how scary that can be. Tiff's high fever lead to spiders one night, me who hates them couldn't help but still look even though I knew she was hallucinating.
That looks like fun Allison!!
Thanks. He is fine right now.
Sounds like fun Allison
I remember having a really high fever when I was young and hearing voices.
Hello, all! I'm taking a break from drawing to check in.
Jan, my sympathy for your loss. Hugs to you.
Victor, my prayers for a speedy recovery for your little one.
Bill, I do visit Cubits. I'm in the Art and Artists cubit. Are you all in the Northeast Gardening one?
Someone bought me a new subscription to DG!!!!! Anonymously! How can I thank you?!!! I am very grateful for your generosity. You're a love, whoever you are. ((((((((((((Secret Santa))))))))))))
Just finished drawing a dendrobium orchid. I'll post pics as soon as I take one.
Harper
Nice! Harper.
Hey Bill, if you could figure a way to make these...
Look how much these are selling for!!!!

yeah.. Harper is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow Jen that's nuts
Thanks, Harp, and welcome back!!
I had the gut feeling Harper wouldn't be gone long.
Victor - glad to hear your son snapped out of it. Fevers were the worst times I remember with kids. It's a great form of birth control.
Gee, she sure fooled me, I ate the goodbye cake and everything!
- Hi Harper! ☺!
I wondered who did it!
Hi Harper!
Victor hope your son is OK, scary when they get that sick.
.. I'm hoping it's not the flu, maybe just a bad cold, the flu is bad news..
No, it's the flu for sure. He is on Tamiflu and should be better by tomorrow.
- Good! I'm Glad he's going to be ok! ☺!!
(heard such bad stuff about that flu...)
Victor,
when my sister was age 5 (over a half century ago!), she had a terrible fever, and kept screaming that huge spiders were climbing up and down the walls!
Two days later, 100% back to normal.
I found some posted shots of the house that went on fire around the block

Thats horrible, looks like it went from one end to the other!!
Ya, that was a bad one!
Scary, Allison.
I wanna go back to bed!!!!
Wow - what's with the spiders?!!
LOL
I vaguely remembering a story my mom told about 1 of us kids seeing spiders also with a high fever
The whole subject of fevers and spiders is fascinating and likely frightening for the children. Here's what I found:

Near the bottom is a post by KMK2.....about seeing spiders.
Oh, scary time for you, Victor....I was dealing with a fever a few nights ago....the song "You Are My Sunshine" kept going around in my head for hours, & I don't know why.....no association with that song whatever.....glad the little one is better......I'm feeling a little better, but it's taking a long while to bounce back! Hi Harper! Glad you are here, & really would like to see the orchid!
Robin, that is my special son's favorite song, i've sung it to him ever since he was a baby.
OMG....it was coming all the way from Maine!
I sing it to him more when he's sick. ^_^
Well, someone was definitely singing it to me the other night.....last night was the first night I've slept 7 straight hours since last Wed.
Just switched over all my 2010 biz files to other file cabinet...oh what fun!!!
I would have just named this file cabinet the other file cabinet!
somehow i lost track of this thread
welcome back harper - yes folks pop in and out of the NE over there
jen - that rock basin is just like the bird baths i am making except there's is done with a machine and is highly polished.
not sure if i will sell them though - they take for ever with hammer and chisel - got a hammer drill for xmass and will see if that cuts down on the time - would never have one that polished either - i prefer the natural look.
WOOHOO!!! Harper is back.
This morning I didn't get up when the alarm went off and woke up 2 hours later when I heard our dog bark. Matt hasn't been with us for years. I WILL get up from now on when the alrm goes off. Not a fever or spiders, but still kinda freaked me out.
Son is dramatically better today. Tamiflu is truly amazing.
So ladies, what would you love to receive for Valentines??
