We got ice tues. night. Went to work wed even though other places had canceled their 1st shift. Work sent everyone home @ the end of 1st shift and cancelled 2nd. They should have just closed for the day! Our shifts are only 4hrs. long.
We got about 1-2" of snow yesterday on top of the ice.

Sun is out and the snow is melting but tonight is supposed to be only 15°

Suns out & snow is trying to melt. What more could you want?

It is a nice day....27, & sunny....my neighbor somehow got rid of the icy mess in the drive while I was at my Mom's....stopped at the bookstore to get Valentine books for the Gkids......

Very clever, Debi!! lol I wish! Today it was 88 degrees. I went out to water my wilting flowers in pots and would love to have had some snow out there. whine, whine, whine. LOL

LOOK, LOOK, LOOK!!! This is the trade-off for 88 degrees! :) The girls got to sample the first ones that were ready....

DonnieBrook, Hope you have more than one. Do the girls like beans? Our gals eat carrots, but not anything green. Poor parenting on our part. Enjoy your gardern, we have no snow, but the ground is frozen solid, even after quite a bit of rain the other day. 26 out now. Patti

Hi Patti! Yes, I have three large pots of the Jade green beans, planted successively, but they all seem to be fairly close in producing this year - perhaps because of the freezing temps early on even though I covered them. My girls love green beans, carrots, green peas, apples, blueberries, sweet potatoes, lentils etc. I give the green beans/carrots and apples to them as treats. I'll be picking some beans for us soon too! Don't worry! :)

More snow predicted for Sat. afternoon. 2-4" in our area but mix first. I would rather have straight snow. Schools in town were cancelled so the snow could be removed from roofs. they are fairly flatish.

Ha, Celeste. I live in z7 because I like it ,usually, the way it's supposed to be anyway. I'm still waiting for the first snowfall of 34" to melt. My formative years were in Minnesota, which makes Mainers look like pikers.......JK ^_^ Actually I think Maine and Minnesota are similar in latitude

Watching the news and they had the extended Feb forecast(I mean give me a break they can't even predict the next day)

Except for this weekend every week they say will be warmer than normal in the 40's and maybe even the 50's President's Day week....avg snowfall for Feb is 6" but are predicting 6-10" this year...ummmmm I'm confused...if it's going to be warmer than normal how can we have more snow????

they said on the news this morning.. tomorrows snow will be a "slop-fest".... 4 now... going to 35

LOL flow, you are right, very confusing! I think weatherman is the only job in the US of A where even if you suck you keep your job....Another frigid morning, with snow in the forecast.......and I was afraid of dry winter after some late transplating. Who knew.

Very cold here this morning, everything has a coating of frost. Sunny, but -2 with the windchill but should reach 30 today!!!!!
Can you tell im excited? Sad that I get excited over 30 degree's isn't it?? I'll be in heaven on Sunday if temps get as high as they say....33 degree's, above freezing for a change!!

Currently 19 degrees and bright and sunny. Going up into the mid 20's today. Nothing major for the next few days.

We had similar weather yesterday and I was very thankful. My dad is in a nursing home and we are looking for an assisted living facility for him. The nursing home is 2 hours south and we went and toured a facility down there and then went to visit him for a few hours. I am hoping to actually get him in somewhere closer to us.

I agree, Victor, long-range forecasts are worthless. They change their tune many times before the weather actually hits.

Snowing here again, although freezing rain expected soon. The roof on the house up the street collapsed yesterday. Really not liking this weather pattern.
