Allison, you made the right decision! She should have been jumping through hoops to have her new furbaby, I know I would have been.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

you know I would have ... at least come to see him... really bugged me

Thomaston, CT

Louise, too funny! Actually, Robs likes other dogs....he even likes cats! It's Ms. Suey who's the jealous one....Garret can't bring Ollie over to play with Robs because Suey attacks him....and he's 3x her size!

Tonight, and tomorrow night, Westminster is on for those of you who like to follow it....I was there a few years back, & had a great time.....

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the reminder Marilyn. I missed it last year. I went a few (quite a few) years ago and also had a great time. I remember meeting Manhattan, a previous BIS winner. I saw him about 50 feet away and had to go say hello. The way I was acting it could have been George Clooney.

That's funny, Weeze. I love Westminster, but I'll have to tune in tomorrow night. Thanks for the reminder, Robin!

I saw most of the show, but was drowsing on the sofa....however, when I saw the bearded collie, I knew he was a winner....I'm hoping he wins the whole show, as he's truly unique!

Missed the hound group, but saw the re3st. DH went to bed as he got tired of the toys. sporting group is first tonight, my kind of dog having lived with cocker spaniels from age 11 to my 60s.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

When the toy poodle came out all foofooed up I was immediately reminded of Lady Gaga.

South Hamilton, MA

The only breed that they didn't name was the buff cocker spaniel. didn't they know what it was? Our kids used to climb into the wire crates when we were showing our cockers.

Wow, what great photos! I did see some of the show last night, but I was mostly out of it, so never found out which dog won.....

I enjoy the Westminster Dog Show, but the "pet adoption" commercials break my heart, I want to adopt them ALL !!!!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Don't have cable so watched some on line. I'll have to go back and watch more

South Hamilton, MA

I liked the black cocker, gaited nicely. Scottish deerhound winning was fine; I was afraid it would be the peke. Hair pinned onto dog?

I have to turn the channel when the adoption and abused animal commercials come on

The dog with the curly dreadlocks is not pretty!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

The poodle with the dreadlocks??? How ugly was that??? I hate those frou frou haircuts on them anyway...whose idea was that??? Looks so stupid!

I dont think it was a poodle if so it was a huge one

East Bridgewater, MA

I liked the white Samoyed (sp???), perky and playful, but dedicated to the human, in a joyous way.

South Hamilton, MA

dreadlock belong to the Komador. Not quite sure of the spelling on that one. the breed is from Hungary.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

No there was a poodle that they did dreadlocks on with that stupid hair cut....let me find the pic...

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Here this one....

That poodle also !!!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Thom has a Komador

They are like kids - super as long as they belong to someone else.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

lol

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I will second that Sherrie!!!!

Love my dogs, care for / love Jims 4 kids. One out of Jims 4 is married once and has one kid and is still married. The other 3 have either got divorced, remarried or had kids by more than one person. (Some younger have no morels left).

I would not want to be them especially holidays as they have to run all over the place to hopefully please all the family, family, family and family members. That is one reason a holiday is just another day at my house, as I feel bad for broken families, especially the young children.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

always looks like they are smiling

awwww

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh NO! Best wishes to Jily for a full recovery!!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

don't ask me how the heck we are going to keep her quiet 8 - 12 weeks to heal... Randy suggested jokingly .. put her butt in a cast.. not just the leg

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Wow, 8-12 weeks? I can see his point.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yorkie and quiet do not go together.... even now if the ups truck pulls up our street she is running all over the house barking like crazy.. and yes they know the sound of the ups truck... and the mailman ... and Jily knows most Saturday nights we order pizza or something.. she starts crying that someone is going to ring the doorbell soon starting at 5:30 PM... even if we skip a week

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Oh poor Jily, you might have to give her some sedatives
