Great to hear, Allison! Good girl, Jily!!!

Memory - I'm not surprised that you would do such a lovely thing. I applaud those services and the people who help in the rescue organization efforts in any way.

Sounds like a good organization in your area, Debi!!

Hoarders mean well and I can understand where they are coming from, but they are not apparently aware that they are doing more harm than good. So sad for all concerned!

In this case the poor woman had dementia. Hopefully, they will not charge her.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

did you guys see Kassia's Diamond on FB?

This is the rescue dog. I might steal her if I helped!
I didn't realize volunteers did this.
The confusion in my post comes from being up later than usual, and not scrolling up to remind me of earlier posts.

Sweet face!

I love it when dogs or cats look like they're smiling.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh Deb, I couldn't do it either...she'd be coming to Maine instead! LOL

Thomaston, CT

Oh, what a sweet face! There will be some happy family waiting for her!

A previously diagnosed 'Fatty Tissue' growth all of a sudden doubled in size and a smaller one appeared nearby. It started to hurt so we checked it again. We await the biopsy.
She's 11, doing well today.
Sarah, Tuesday evening after surgery.

My thoughts are with you and Sarah, Andy.

Cut pics Allison, but Jily looks sad.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

she was sleepy when I took the photo.. been playing more and more... and the swelling went down big time.. but it will be a while

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Love that Eros tongue shot
Jily's hair is starting to grow in at least

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I tried and tried to get a pic of him smiling... no good though.. took too long for the flash to kick in... going to have to show you guys with a video... he just cracks me up.. he does it way more than Lily does... I more or less call him smiling/sneezey/rooster... sounds like a rooster when he barks... smiles and sneezes constantly

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Andy - how is Sarah this morning? Does she have to wear a "cone of shame"?

Thomaston, CT

Alison, Hope is just a doll! She's very photogenic.....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I keep telling her .. she is lucky she is cute

Thomaston, CT

Yep, cuteness helps!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

and she gives the best hugs

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks all for the good wishes.
OneWish, I didn't read much before posting. Get Well Soon, Jily. Arthritis is one reason I keep Sarah at a low weight. She came to me with a broken leg & 20 % over weight at 54 pounds.
YankeeCat, I couldn't leave the 'Cone of shame' lol on her very long. She listens well so I tried to instruct her to not lick the incision. A few sharp NOs did the trick but she slept with the cone the first night and a couple hours the second night. It's off during the day when I can watch her. It may not be needed any more.
I got the OK to remove the drain tube this am. The biopsy was not very good. her tumor was grade 2 (not good & not bad) but had degranulated (turned to mush) and spread too far to remove completely. She will be on meds & prayers from now on.
She looks pretty good and is active enough to run a bit even chased her tail last night.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

we will pray for Sarah .... hope the meds are good to Sarah ... glad Jily is able to be without a cone as well

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Oh Andy. {{hugs}} I will add Sarah to my prayers. There is a medication for arthritis that has been used in horses for years and recently released in canine form - Adequan - that you might look into for Sarah. It is given by injection - but the man at work who is trying it for his elderly dog has had good results and once the loading is done then it is given only once a month or so. I'm going to see if I can get a vet to agree to try it out on one of my cats who suffers from arthritis.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Adequan is good stuff

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hoping for positive news, Andy.

Thomaston, CT

Andy, hopefully she'll do fine...she looks like a tough gal! Am looking for arthritis meds for Robs...he's avoiding the stairs, & limping a little, but he's almost 9, so that's expected.....

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Sorry about the news Andy, but I believe in the power of faith & love.....i've seen it more than once. We all know how much she is loved and now with all the prayers for her, can't be anything but positive now can it?

Allison, the pictures are adorable and yes HOPE is cute as a button!!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Marilyn - read about adequan and see if you might be able to give him the shots yourself. Otherwise I think that over the counter glucosamine helps a lot for creaky joints (mine) and arthritis (Holly's). It is not very expensive if you buy whatever store brand they have. I buy caps and sprinkle it on her food and she doesn't even notice.

East Bridgewater, MA

I'm sending sweet Sarah prayers and positive vibrations.

She's been a part of DG, we almost feel like we know her !!!

Mona is making sewing at night very difficult! She likes to lay on the rug I have in front of my cutting table. Very hard to cut and then go to the machine.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Will someone start a new thread with their cutie?

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

OK, Victor.
