glad Jilly is home.
thanks.. she won't be doing any jumping any time soon
Jily:
"Hey, where's my fur?....oh, right, I don't care because I'm on meds."
Yeah, she looks a little confused.....
Yay, Jily! Welcome home! She'll be just fine, Allison! This is at least as hard on you and Randy as it is on her. She has drugs, after all! lol
ate breakfast and passed out again
Poor baby, but sleep is the best healing device.
I agree.. think the anti inflammatory kicked in fast... so that's good
Glad to hear that, Allison.
Yep, sleep is a "fixer."
Happy to hear!
now and then.. she is sick of being in the crate already... and doesn't understand she can't come out... yes the sappy momma I am .. I lay down with her on the floor and she still wouldn't calm down... broke my heart... but then got herself exhausted and passed out again
My neighbor from across the road came to shovel my walk today, & said one of their kitties died in his wife's arms last week....their kitties are their babies, & I know they are very upset.
Poor Jily (((♥))) Allison your a good dog mommy for sure ♥
That's sad Marilyn, I don't have cats but still know that feeling....
makes it even harder when they are babies.. so sad
The kitty was old....but this couple have no children of their own....they did adopt his godchild, but she had mental & addiction problems, & I'm sure they don't know where she is.....
The recuperation after ACL surgery is so hard on them. Be thankful she is little - big dogs often blow out the other leg while the first one is recuperating. My sister took her dog out for walks in a dog stroller while she was recuperating to get her some fresh air and amusement. Hang in.
the vet warned us about that Memory... said it could happen now... or 10 years from now.. but almost always does... I ordered her joint supplements already
That's a good idea, Allison. I have already started our girls on joint supplements since the Bichons are also prone to joint issues. Our vet recommends them for even young dogs in certain breeds to ward off issues. Hugs to Jily....and to you!
Louise
How cute is that, Victor!! Sniff is a doll!
Thanks, Louise!
:)
love the kitty pics
just saw on the news .. a house in LI had 72 animals in it... including a cow and pig.... and they haven't gone though the 2nd floor or basement yet
Just got an email from a coworker looking for drivers to transport a husky from NY to Minn. They have short drives (up to approx 2 hours) with scheduled times and allow 15 minutes to transfer to the next driver. Interesting.
oooo, sounds scary!
does sound creepy
I don't think it's creepy, just people working to help rescue dogs find new homes. It seemed very organized, and needing volunteers to help. Seemed legit...
Deb I think they're talking about the people with all the animals in their house
oops!
taking Jily to get a check up and get her pain patch taken off this afternoon... she was playing with a squeaky in the crate this morning.. ticking off the puppies.. they can't take it from her in there!!!!
:)
When they start playing, you know they're getting better!
Sounds like Jily is so much better.....beautiful shot of Sniff.....I love his color....very hard to hear about folks hoarding animals...it's truly a sickness! Debi, rescues often use volunteers to drive their pets from one city to the next.....saves on air fare.....
I help on cat transports. Saturday I drove up to Hartford to pick up SIX cats and transferred them to the next driver in Southbury. Some were going to a foster in NJ and one of them was going all the way to Philadelphia. I take the miles as a tax deduction because it is for Maine Coon Rescue or Pure Bred Rescue - this time - both! One of the times I drove I had a car load of PB Persian cats. Boy are the funny looking!
Ole' Blue Eyes !!!
Volunteers are doing Special work.
(I didn't want to bring religion onto a garden site, but I think you get my drift).
doc said so far .. so good
