I hope!

Well today certainly sucked, I was bawling off and on all day, this will get better, right? I didn't even go out to talk to anyone today, just sat in my office and thought about Tiga all day long, guess that's expected for the 2nd full day though, probably shouldn't even be going to work but this house is cold and quiet now. Did manage to get the pictures of her sent to my email from my cell phone, and found something really cool to make for her stuff!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Crissy, that will be a nice memorial for Tiga! yes, it gets better, but it takes time!
((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))

Sue, sure hope they get all the info they need!

I was going through my cell phone today, and I have 14 Dr.'s listed! Hubby says that is a sign your getting old, when you have that many Dr.s!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Thank you everyone....been really down today. And now it is snowing AGAIN ! Yay ( not ) !!!!!!!!

Crissy that is so cute......Do you have any pics of Tiga ? I'd love to see ~

Sue it is terrible what they put people through......

I'd just be happy to find a Dr. I like and that knows more than how to over charge.

LOL Synda I have about a thousand pics of Tiga...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I try to keep most of them at home on the computer there, but somehow some snuck over here LOL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

This one is about 5 years old, maybe a little older. I didn't realize how gray she got.

Thumbnail by crissyr
Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Here's the last one for now, I need to sort through and find them. Hopefully I still have pics from when she was a kitten almost 15 years ago.

Sorry about your Tiga, crissyr. She really was a beautiful cat and I know how bad you feel. It is so hard to lose a pet, I have lost several and it almost breaks your heart. They are so much an important part of our lives and give us such pleasure.

aawww the pretty kitty
i love the pic of her in the bathtub LOLLL

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Crissy ,Tiga was so Beautiful.....I can only imagine how you heart is aching !!!! Our Jack has to have her water dish in the bathroom sink..and when we go in she want the water on,and she will drink and play in it.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That one was in Modesto probably 3 or 4 years before we moved. She loved drinking out of that faucet. LOL I'll play with some pics this weekend and get some more ready to show y'all.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Synda that's what Tiga used to do too!! She used to play in the toilets too and get water all over the bathroom. I know I have pics of that too. I've got pics of everything she's done I think.

Here's one! This was on 11-23-2003 and I had known Dave for 2 weeks.

Thumbnail by crissyr
Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I can't believe how much her fur changed color between 2003 and 2008, I mean I noticed but I guess it was so gradual I didn't notice, know what I mean?

Thumbnail by crissyr
Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

That is so cute.........She was checking to make sure he was the right one......LOL
Last night Jack knocked on Ryans bedroom door and meowed,(she knocks on doors, she doesn't scratch), He came out she wanted him to play with her.....he thought that was so funny !He came to me and said ,I think Jack is bored or lonely and then told me what she did.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Jack is 11 now and I worry so much about her........when she has gotten sick I just panic!

Thumbnail by synda
Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Tiga knocked too, if we didn't hear her she would scratch, if we didn't hear that she would bang. We always heard that unless no one was home. She was had an open door policy, every door in the house had to be open just a crack or she would knock at it until someone opened it.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

AWWW She's sweet!! That's when Tiga was stricken with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, when she was 11. Steroids are the only thing that maintains it and she still had episodes, but knowing what I know now of the way she died I think she was also having mini strokes.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

The week before Thanksgiving she became very lethargic for about 2 days then couldn't use her hind legs very well for another day after that. We blamed it on arthritis, now I think she had a stroke and somehow recovered from it. I really thought I was going to lose her then, I thought that was the time. I made a vet appointment and took her in on the morning of the 4th day, of course she had come out of it by then, but the vet took her vitals and said her vitals were the same as a 1 year old kitten's. Crazy!!

((((((((((((((((((((Synda))))))))))))))))))))) Welcome back.
So sorry you're going through an emotional yoyos with family and friends.. and you having to deal with fibro..
We miss you girl!

((((((((((((Crissy))))))))))) I feel your pain in losing Tigah. That's your child and I'm sure she's right now telling the Lord how good a Mama you are and that you had found her a good Papa too.
I'm glad you're sharing pictures of Tigah, and my favorite is the one she's sitting on Dave's lap, like claiming he is hers.
We'll have a wake for Tigah, and I'm passing around warmed milk.

In case some sistahs here are wondering what's going on in Maid M's world,. I got this email from her and she gave me permission to share the contents.

"We meet with the doctor and staff from Hospice yesterday and as much as we dreaded the update, deep down I think we both knew. At best we may have a couple of month and that is being optimistic. Mom's cough is much worse, she is now at the point she doesn't want to eat much some days and is losing an average of 1 lbs. per every 5 days. We both knew what was ahead but until the words were said by the doctor, we continued to "pretend" everything was okay.

We were advised to tell her if she asked questions so she could have this time for anything thing she felt the need or desire to say to others. She did ask Sue after the doctor left what was said and she told her the basics--the nodules had now formed a mass and we couldn't tell what they were unless we had a biopsy. She told us no biopsies--we had already decided she was to frail. We did tell her they were responsible for the cough. Her only comment was "well at this age, it could be expected!". No questions.

She has told her when the Lord is ready so is she.

I have tried to get onto DG and Cubits, but not much success. If you feel like posting, you have my permission. Please continue to keep us on the prayer list.

We are trying to organize a "card" party for her 92nd birthday February 4th. Same as Kathy's.

All in all, we are doing okay, supporting each other and thankful so far that she is not in any serious pain."

Please continue to pray for her, and I thank God that she has very good family support.

Leaving the house in a second to pick up groceries and I'll be back later.
Love y'all!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crissy, you're blessed to have Tiga that long.
I'm hoping my oldest, who is 11 too, will keep entertaining right up till 30 :(
Right now, he's on thyroid meds., for losing too much weight.

Managed to get on to Daves atlast.

Thanks Jaye.

Mom is slowly losing ground and inspite of this, we have had some absolutely wonderful times with her. Today she was filling in the gaps on the family history on her side. Memory still sharp in some areas.

Please keep us in your prayers and I so hope we are able to keep her comfortable until her time comes.

Love you all.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, sorry to hear about your MOm. Can you share an address so we can all send her a card, or would that be too much?

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Prayers for you and family Maid Marion as you prepare for your mom leaving you and going to her Heavenly Home. Thinking of my mom passing at this time, she was ready to go "Home" for a long time and thank God she didn't suffer or have any pain. That does make it a little easier to let go.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi Jaye.........I have missed you to !!!!!!

Marion, sending (((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) and Prayers to you and yours......

Going to go lie down for a bit,I am tired all the time ,and OK ,I'm going to whine, I have a bellyache ~

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

AW Thank you so much Jaye! I miss her so much I'm about to have a fit. Today I consolidated pictures on my computer at work and found a bunch, some from 2003 up to current and WOW I didn't realize her fur completely changed colors and I can see the aging in her body that happened. It made me realize how old she was and how she progressed to elderly. It was very therapeutic and I feel some better about her passing, and understand why she passed, I knew before but now I got to see it.

I'm going to go watch TV with Dave and make it a good Friday evening.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Marion I want to tell you that many many prayers are continuing to go out to you, your mom, and your family. (((((((((((((((((((MARION)))))))))))))))))

Hope 43 is on a plane headed for Minneapolis Minnesota her mother had hours to live when she left . Twyla asked for prayers for her and family and a safe trip the weather is very bad from Tulsa to Minnesota .

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Tazzy, thanks for this news. Didn't know Twyla's mother is that ill.
Please keep us posted.
Will definitely pray for Twyla and her family, thanks Tazzy.

Sue, I hope precious Savannah gets over whatever she's facing.
No small servings today.. a huge bowl of grated carrot and sliced cabbage salad topped with basil pesto and grilled chicken breast.
Plus a huge banana. :D
Emotional binged eating yesterday, but I'm back on track!

Crissy, you'd never notice Tiga aging as she had always been your baby, moreover she was your only baby.
With Rimau, I see his progression to a cantankerous grandpa with the young rescues around him.

Synda, hope it's nothing you ate?

Maid M., no matter how long you've been prepared, it is never easy letting go. But like Pegi said, it made it just a bit easier when our parents are aware that Jesus is waiting on the other side.
We are with you in spirit.

Good night sistahs.. Cookie if you're lurking.. ((((((((HUGS))))))))))

Twyla sending Prayers and ((((((((HUGS)))))))))) !!!!!

Oh Jaye every time I eat I get a sick belly, especially when my nerves have been upset.I will take weeks for my stomach to get back to semi ok......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

tazzy, thanks for letting us know about twyla and her Mom. Please tell her were all sending prayers her way!

Jaye, glad to have you back with us!

prayers to everyone and sending big ((()))) to you who need them and are dealing with loved one , ready to go home to our Lord.
Jaye with that kind of good eating , i think you can have big servings :)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, again, you're one in a million!!
Think I forgot to mention that Kel's dad passed his tests and won't be due for another check up in three months.

Thank you Sue.. somehow I'm trying to be more creative with salads as the only dressing I like that comes in a bottle is Poppy Seed Dressing.
So, with the plain ones, I've grated ginger... add garlic chips...and I just discovered that pesto ain't bad on salad.
Now I have to make that trip to the health store and get more cracked wheat and find some tempeh.

I haven't weighed myself, yet. But at least my bras aren't too tight anymore!!

Synda, this room's decor has improved so much with your pictures! You beautiful woman!!

Crissy, how are you today? Go to a pet store and let your heart be merry again looking at young fur babies. You don't have to get one, but I'm sure Tiga won't want her mama's heart to grief too long.

Same here.. praying for all for we all need some heavenly assistance.

And those that are still facing severe snow.. Barb.. Susan.. drink lots of spiced tea and stay warm.

When your suffering is a little greater than my suffering I feel that I am a little cruel. ~Antonio Porchia

Something we all can agree to.

Quote from tazzy :

She got there safely ,her and family are preparing for services , her mother has pass on .

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So sorry to hear that! What was wrong with her Mom, she never told us she was sick?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

((((((((Twyla)))))) so sorry to hear your mom has passed on. I didn't realize she was this badly off, either..... so truly sorry. She crossed over, and is at peace.

Marion - I know it's a difficult time, and now that the Dr has confirmed it, it must be doubly hard to take. Waiting is NOT easy, even when you know that Jesus is waiting to take her home.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

For all you sewers out there, look at this lady quilt!

What an inspiration Diane Rose is!!
I sent this link to my friend who's in Calgary, but originally from Waco, TX, and also to my sister who is a quilter, but suffering from lung cancer and has had to move all her quilting to the ground floor instead of the basement where she used to have her sewing room.....

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'll keep your sister in my prayers Susan....God bless
