Barb, sending prayers for Tracie. My heart just breaks for your friend.
Betty, you are so busy! And you and Dianne....sending all that snow over here. They are talking about an Alberta Clipper. I don't know what it is...but its all over the lake and coming across down to US!
Hubby is home and on my backside about my foot. My foot swelled up nasty yesterday and had some new purple brusing on it. IT was the socks problem...I didn't over do anything. The doc told me to start weight bearing this week....and he wants me off the crutches by my Thursday appointment. SO I am just following his orders.
Shane starts indoor soccer today with practice at 2;00. My oldest daughter might come visit. Haven't seen her since Christmas.
OH, and my coat arrived. Its very nice, and warm. A columbia jacket, you can wear 3 ways....has a fleece liner/jacket inside you can wear alone for spring. It is blue and brown
Ok, I have some things to take care of.
Debbie
Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!Just Gab'n
Barb many prayers are going out to your friend! That's absolutely horrible!
Down here it's Martin Luther King Jr. Day AND Robert E. Lee Day. Whichever, I'm off another Monday. Lets see.... I had Wed, Thurs, and Fri for Thanksgiving, the following week I had Thurs and Fri for Christmas, the following week we had Friday for New Years Day, the following week we had Monday because it snowed and no one could go anywhere, now we have this Monday! Don't mean to brag....buuuuuuut
LK There's a computer thread here on DG, I bet someone knows over there.
Betty what's the fries and gravy called again?
I hear Dave up and cleaning the house so I should go join in so I don't have to do it later! Big big big hugs everyone!
Lordy you are all busy as well...did a few block then decided the upstairs needed cleaning..got my room done, Christmas quilt and shams put away for another year, dusted..living room all done as well as the bathroom and kitchen and dining room and floors done..maybe 1/2 hr. this afternoon to finish corner dusting and voila, done..tomorrow I'll start in the basement, that's a chore but if I'm at it early in the morning by noon I will be done..been thinking of purging..will take one room at a time and go through cupboards starting next week so that spring cleaning will be done..once nice weather comes I can power wash house/decks and do windows and then have all the time in the world to play in my gardens...how's that for a plan! Memories are what makes us Shirley..don't you love getting old photo's out and have all the memories from that photo flash back? Hope Tubby will feel like having breakfast this morning..needs all the nourishment he can get!
Dianne, my grandmother who raised me was much the same, she lived to 99 and couldn't figure out why all her children didn't come to visit when they all lived within the town..would have to tell her they'd passed on, she'd say 'ahhhh poor things' would go into a thinking mode and then I'd change the subject and she'd be ok...terrible thing to have happen!
Waiting for the lemon oatmeal cake recipe Dianne, mouth watering already.
Debbie, maybe you did overdo, perhaps the Doctor was expecting far too much when he asked you to be walking on it by Thursday..glad you might see your daughter today, hope weather is co-operating for you so she can travel your way. I got a blue Christmas coat from Fred Hook Ltd. where Greg works for the things I pick up for them through the year, sounds much the same..can be changed into all seasons right?
Shirley I think if you are nearing the bottom of windshield wash it doesn't spray very well..must get some myself. Hard driving when the roads are so sloppy without it.
Back downstairs, will work on another row of blocks, they come along really easy, once I get the 2nd row done I'll post to show you how the block rows come together..
Crissy you just had to rub it in right? lol..I have to wait until Feb.21 st for a long weekend..seems so far away..drats..look at you, barely a week you work all week.
The gravy/fries/cheese is called 'poutine' french goodies, odd you mentioned it because that's what I had for supper.
Guess who called me in the most friendly of voices...yes, Danie, said she stayed home last night and talked to hubby and also went to Darlene's..asked her how her day was going and she said wonderful..she's organizing her basement to teach the kids in a more schoolroom atmosphere, said her husband said he would not bother her when school is in session (does that mean he will after school is out)? lol..she said she loved my large blackboard painted on the wall and framed in my craft room, as her basement is mostly windows and open concept Darlene told her to come today, Mike has some MDF and they will made a large moveable blackboard and Darlene has an easle which will help position it..got to love Darlene for being the go between.
Asked what I was doing, said I had cleaned all the upstairs..she said but I wanted to do that so you would have more time to yourself..said thanks Danie, but my routine is cleaning on Saturday and Sunday mornings..did tell me not to shovel all the pathways and deck stairs, too funny, said I wouldn't.
Said she'd be home later tonight and that this afternoon there are 2 or 3 resorts in the area that rent efficiencies in the winter and she would go see if any of them are available...sooo dear friends, I so want to thank you for walking along side of me, my heart just ached because I had to do such a thing...won't ever/ever do it again but seems like she knows the route she must take and I am almost back to normal..oh happy days!!!
Betty that is wonderful news. And the best part is that she called you. You hate to lose friends over things like this but it does happen and I must give her credit for not just waltzing out the door never to be heard from again. It does speak well for her character if not her actions. When you are both calm would be a good time to just sit and talk... NO kids.
I LOVE that quilt you are making. The only thing I've done "quilt as you go" are table runners. That is going to be stunning. I've been working on the quilt blocks today as I sort out the fat quarters. I have found so many pieces of material that were used in one thing or another and it's like a trip down memory lane. Oh this piece was in Stacy's quilt and this was part of Tony's quilt, etc... Boy, I didn't realize how emotional I could get over fabric!!!! Oh and this piece was in Betty's apron!!!!!!!
Thank you all so very much for your prayers for Tracie. I just talked with a mutual friend who lives near her and she said she is starting to do better. But she also said "A wreck is a wreck is a wreck!!" which I take as she is having a hard time of it. I'll be going back down to Derry next week (it's 50 miles one way) and will see her then.
I must get back to the sewing or I'll sit here and play all afternoon. Waving hello to everyone and hoping your weekend is great.~~~~~~
Some of you asked how Stacey was and I'm sure she is lurking. She has a cold and so does Jonathan. I think my DS gave it to them both, he was sick last week. Jonathan is on cereal now but he seems to want to eat more often on the meals when he does not get the cereal and in addition, his long sleep time is 5:00 - 11:00 pm so she is not getting much sleep herself. Wish I was closer and could help more. We have had snow and I am going to Lansing Sunday-Thursday. My best friend is having a hysterectomy on Tuesday and I am finally going to close on the sale of my house there. Then home for a few days and then up to Detroit to babysit for my two grandsons while Mom is off skiing and Dad is in DC on business. They are 16 & close to 18 so they don't need much "sitting" as much as watching!
Every time I think I am home for a while something comes up and off I go.
The doctor wants me to see a surgeon about having my knees replaced so maybe that will keep me home for a while. It's not something I really want to do but I know that it is necessary. I was with a friend over New Year's and she said, "I know I advised you to wait to get it done but after seeing you walk down those steps, I say, do it now!" I will spend three weeks here at the Center after the surgery for help and physical therapy and then come home. What to do with the dog for those 3 weeks is keeping me up at night.
Well, those blocks are calling my name, best get going.
LOL Betty I mentioned it because you posted that you were having it. Poutine! That's some good stuff there!
Yes we have all these days off now, but Legislature is in session from last Monday through April so after this holiday we don't get anymore until whatever falls after April.
I got those embroidered pillow cases that I've been working on for 2 years finished the night before last, now I have nothing to do when I watch tv, how boring is that?
My dad's girlfriend told me about this website, talk about Crafter's Haven!
http://benfranklin.com
Crissy BenFranklins was the first shop I'd hit when I reached Florida..loved to shop there, liked it far better than Michaels then they started to close. Didn't realize some still exhisted, will have to check which states they are in.
Well little girl, you'll just have to rush out to the nearest craft store, probably Michael's for you and get yourself something. It's always so nice to sit and watch t.v. and yet do something so that you can see what you are accomplishing..
Snow is coming down not as heavily, was thinking of going in to Walmart as I know I've dozens of spools of off white thread but do you think I can find them, with embroidering a stitch along the folding lines of the quilt as you go piece I'm playing with it takes a lot of thread, won't be long I'll run out so it's put the project away or out in the winter elements to get some..what to do, what to do??? lol
Feel as though it should be midnight, been up so early and done quite a lot that I cannot believe it's only half way through the day.
What are you all doing?
Betty, so glad to hear that she called and all is well!
Love the colors in the quilt as you go! Here is a you tube video, that may help explain it! This method can be done with just about any pattern. Just make sure to cut your outside pieces bigger to sew to the next one.

Afternoon Shirley, how is Tubby doing today?
Debbie, please don't over do on your foot, take it easy, and gradually get to where your supposed to be!
Janice sorry to hear that Stacey and Johnathon are sick! Tell them to get better soon!
Will you have both knees done at once? My DIL Mother did it that way, and she was up and walking onher own after about 3 weeks!
I had a complete knee replacement, and I think Audrey did too! My knee is not 100%, but a lot better than it was! Good luck!
This message was edited Jan 15, 2011 2:08 PM
Janice, you've been a busy lady this past year, time you settle down a bit and take care of yourself!!! They cannot do both knees at once can they? Would be so much simpler if they did, although difficult for you I'm sure.
How horrible for Jonathon and Stacey, colds are the pitzzzzz..amazing how well he's doing for being a preemie..before long he'll be gabbing and walking and then Stacey will know what it is to have her hands full..lol...
Barb what did you ever do with all the table runners/place mats you did for the sale that never happened, did they end up Christmas presents...and yes, as you pick a piece of fabric you remember who got something special made with it and who did not..as for my material, was it tools on yellow background????
Glad Barb you'll be able to get down and see Tracie, that ought to bring a smile to her face! when you are down it's a long long way back up, if it weren't for friends how many of us would have survived difficult times...not me for sure!
Playing doing cleaning and sewing..think I've spent about as much time on one as I am the other today..laundry room sure needed a cleaning..girls use the tubs to wash out their brushes and to get clean water..yuk/yuk sure hoping the javex will do the trick..in my cleaning today I've managed to have 3 garbage bags for the dump ..things I'll not miss for sure, truly is amazing what we keep..got to give my head a shake..lol
Betty, what is javex?
I still have most of the table runners and mats I made. I did give a few away at Christmas but I have also been put in touch with a couple people who will put them on consignment. I haven't made up my mind as to what to do. I just have so much fabric to use up I just keep making them... Who knows, maybe when I'm dead and gone they will find a home somewhere!!!!!
Got two more blocks made for the swap and more fat quarters separated. I'll be doing this till next Christmas I swear!!!
By the way Betty there is a Ben Franklin not too far from me. I go there occasionally. Like the store...
LK it is Bleach. My best friend!!!
Ahhhh, tis bleach..there you go, what you did learn today LindaKay! Keep forgetting we have different words..when I was in Florida talking to one of the residents I said hydro and he wasn't sure what I meant! lol
Barb, can't go wrong always having some pre-made gifts in the house, you never know when one is needed. You keep talking about organizing all your material, did a bit of it myself this afternoon then gave it up, it can wait for another day..well now you have me planning my trip to your house...10 hour drive..figure 3 1/2 hrs. to get to Debbie's and then another 6 1/2 to your house..so if we were to leave at 5am we'd be there for lunch..hmmm, not today though, don't like the white fluffy stuff.
I'm 11 hrs. in a different direction for Laura..maybe by this time of day they'll have found a trailer that suits there needs and will need to try it out, nothing like trying out Georgian Bay! can't get much better than that..besides, lots of room to put it in my yard!
Stuck here, snowing blowing and I want thread..oh well, find something else to keep me busy this evening, most likely I'll only be up for a few more hours before I call it a night..
Dianne, are you getting this snow as well? You never did tell us, or just maybe I forgot, were you able to swap the fishermen cookies for fish?
Talked to Cathy, said she was at Wye Marsh today with her sister horseshoeing, said it sure did tire her out..hasn't been ice fishing this week because she visited with family who had colds and flu and she was down with something herself, perhaps next week.
Ann just visited, OMG, she told me that they had been told in November that Mike had but a few months...she said she'd been talking to Mike this week but he doesn't want to broach the subject seeing this new chemo is making him feel better but she wants to tell their girls..with bad weather they haven't been coming up but if they had any incling they'd want to spend more time with their dad...Ann made him promise that on Tuesday he'd ask the doctor is his feeling better, and some shrinking takes away from the prognosis he was given in November...I kind of imagined that was what was happening but she said she just couldn't bring herself to say the words out loud! Hard times are ahead for my friend as well!!
Also talked to Bernice across the road, she called and said they were having a get together tonight, spur of the moment for Michelle and her new hubby and wanted to know if I wanted to join them..think I'll pass on that one.
Hi everybody!
Just thought I'd drop in a second. I'm cooking chinese for supper. Beef and broccoli and a few other fresh veggies. The rice is done. It smells good and Tubby thought it sounded good. He is busy watching Karate Kid. I already made coleslaw and will make a pasta salad yet and call it quits. We'll have cornish hen and dressing tomorrow evening. The dressing is already made and frozen. I always make a big batch and freeze it.
Betty you sound like you've had a busy day. Tubby did set here for a while after breakfast and read a bit but was ready to lay down. My heart goes out to Ann, all we can do is offer our prayers and let her know we are beside her all the way.
We don't have any Ben Franklin's here anymore either. They still have one up by my DD's in Wiscosin. I like those little stores. The big stores have really hurt the little ones. Those were the good old days.
Well, I better get supper on. Will check in later or tomorrow. Have a good evening everyone.
Oh ya Laura, did you guys find a camper and if so what is it? Will look forward to hearing all about it.
Janice, can you find a friend or relative that can take of the dog while you are laid up? If we were closer we would take it. The dogs always seem to enjoy their time at the farm. It's a whole new experience for them. Our dogs get along with all.
Okay am gone now!
Betty, your not going to like this. We HAD Been Frankly 30 minutes from here...but it just went out of business around Thanksgiving. I loved that store. I will do some searching and see if there are any more nearby.
Oh no Debbie, say it ain't so!!! lol just thought they had all gone out of business and never ever thought I could be shopping at one when in Buffalo..drats and more drats. But the good side is I found that other craft store, for the life of me can't remember the name, it's near the airport Debbie..loved it, had everything including decor items in it..only shopped for 1/2 hr. in it but next time I'm there for the morning!
Shirley, think I'd best be eating at your house..everything you cook sounds so tasty..glad Tubby gets to enjoy his favorite t.v. shows.
Laura how did the exhibition go yesterday, you haven't purchased and are on the road here already are you, glad I cleaned house!
Got quite the snowfall yesterday, small flakes falling, not quite sure what happened to my plowman, didn't come, perhaps he will early this morning.
Danie did not come home last night, I can only hope maybe she's enjoying her stay in her own home and might think twice about divorce. That leaves me with shovelling the walkways, can't find my car for snow so must take a broom out with me then I'll head out to Walmart so I can purchase thread, could have had several more rows on the quilt done had I thought about what supplies I needed.
Maybe a TimHorton's coffee and donut will help me start my day..
Gab later
Wakie/wakie all you sleeping beauties..lordy, it's a winter wonderland out there and as long as the wind doesn't pick up we'll be ok; did I just say that, would love the wind to pick up about 7am tomorrow morning just so I could have a snow day!
Got some groceries done at Walmart, picked up what beige thread they had, no can topstitch as it breaks every few inches so will get all the blocks done as they require only straight stitching and will have to wait until I get to a fabric store to pick up better quality thread..that puts a damper on today's project..
Guess I'll do basement cleaning and organizing and in between sewing up some blocks..
Sunday today, what do you have planned? Anything super special?
Well Betty sorry to say we are not driving new camper up to see you today.
We walked through so many campers yesterday and now we have a better idea on what we want.
Still need to see a couple more units to make sure because we will have this for awhile.
No snow and no rain high 38 today.
Hope to do some sewing and more cleaning oh and football playoffs today.
You get Tim Horton's Betty and I'll get a Dunkies and we can share all the donuts!! Sounds good to me.
Good morning all
Today is still very cold, not as bad as yesterday, but still very cold. I will stay in again. Tomorrow we have doctor's appt so I'll have to go out. Trying to make a list of all we need so it's one time only this week. Wouldn't be bad but it's 25+ miles to the stores so we need to plan ahead with gas prices rising the way they are. Norm wants new frying pans (the eggs are sticking) so one of the places we will go is the kitchen store. I really need to go to or else he will buy everything he sees!!!! He thinks of those stores as a kid thinks of the candy store!!! He does love to cook.
I have finished 6 of the 12 blocks I need to make. They have been fun to do as most of the patterns are different. Some I have done but others I've never tried before. Good learning experience.
Laura, hope and the family found the perfect camper!
Shirley, you know our prayers are with you and it's great to hear Tubby being up and around a bit.
Please be careful outside if you have ice.
Debbie, I still love Ben Franklin's and I must check online to see if there are any others still here in NH. What a wonderful store it is.....
Diane, how did you make out with the dentist? Everything okay?
Sending hugs to Bev and you too Mary. Hope today is a good one.
Off to the shower so I can start my day. Hope yours is great.....
Good Morning!! Tiga woke me up, little turd is worse than a child.
I've never been near a Ben Franklin, they weren't in CA and I doubt they were here too. Their online store is huge, maybe they just went strictly online like Linen's and Things did. They don't have a store search on their website.
Shirley glad he sat up at the table and read! Baby steps!
Well my snow has melted for the most part and I have to say that I am glad. I'm homesick this morning.
I got the coffee but a doughnut does sound good!
At least one of my teams won (Steelers,) we'll see what happens today. GO JETS!!!! GO BEARS!!!! (not a Jet's fan but I like them over the Patriots, not really a Bears fan either but I'm out of options lol.)
Bummer on the camper Laura but at least you now know exactly what your looking for, and you will find it!
Good Morning!
The sky is overcast, but will go out a little later and get what needs to be done. It's suppose to a mix of sleet and snow tomorrow morning, will see what is like then. Hope they are wrong. You know being a weatherman is the only job you get paid well for being wrong 99 - 99% of the time. Wish I would have thought about that career when young.LOL
I probably hold off till tomorrow to go to town. As you say the gas prices keep going up. We won't be going to GD's birthday party. I know they won't decide till last minute where to have it and Tubby likes it at home too much. This won't hurt my feelings, I can make her a cake next time they are out.
I have a load of laundry to get done and I would like to finish redoing my DB's feather pillows. They need new ticking and his wife has never done that before. I have a feather comforter that I will steal the extra feathers from.
Nothing new here so will check on you all later. Everyone have a great day and please be careful out there.
Shirley
Drats, wrote almost an entire novel and zap into cyberspace..
Crissy there a Ben Franklin in Little Rock is that not where you work? there is another but forgot where...Sorry you are feeling homesick, perhaps call a friend in California and chat for awhile! Know about the furries, the mornings that I feel I could sleep in Sailor is at my bedside nudging me to get up and let her out.
Barb, think there is a Ben Franklin in your state as well, should have marked the areas down. Too bad you haven't got a Canadian Tire in your neighborhood, good skillets are usually between 50-70% off..good quality frying pans of all sizes..Roger was a kidtchen gadget fanatic as well. Maybe by the end of today you'll have all your squares done then the pressure will be off of you.
Shirley, couldn't the family bring you and Tubby a piece of cake after their function..they must understand how difficult it is for you to get Tubby ready and that's only IF he's up to it??? lordy girl, you outdo me for energy that's for sure.
Plowman just came and did my drive, he does such a great job, went out and moved my vehicle so he could do a proper clearing..snow has stopped, almost sunshine out there but bitter cold, would be a great day to go for a walk but think I'll get enough excersise cleaning in the basement, besides I so like HEAT!
Laura, I'm sure you'll find exactly what you want. Have you looked for a used one, with the economy being such as it is, you might find one that doesn't look used for 1/2 the price??
Well, vacuum is calling
Betty I can't a find Ben Franklin store in Little Rock on the net... there's a Ben Franklin Plumbing... lol my Firefox is messing up, it keeps freezing and it won't let me close tabs. Going to get through these pages on Ben Franklin then gonna close Firefox and reopen it and see if that helps. Dave needs to do his unemployment anyway.
Trying to predict the weather is like trying to predict an earthquake, it just can't be done. They read models and just report what the models say, one of our local weathermen said once, "Don't shoot the messenger!" They can tell by the setup what's going on but as far as where it's going to go exactly, no one can tell that even with today's modern technology.
YAY plowmen! It's supposed to rain today.
Crissy I thought it was this one
http://www.benfranklin.com/default.aspx
If you key in - store locator just to the right of the address it has several listings..says there is one in Shannon Hills...ooops although it leads you to Ben Franklin locations they have various intown listings so perhaps not...playing tricks on me they are..
Family room all tidy, another box for the garbage, if nothing else staying in on weekends get's the housecleaning done..
Still waiting for Bernie, he wasn't feeling the best yesterday so who knows, perhaps he'll leave it until next weekend..had hoped the project would be done by then, talk about wanting things done NOW..oh well, he comes when he comes, always gives me a good price for labour so cannot complain, worth the wait!
Betty, I think this is the craft store you found, similar to Michaels but with a bit difference.
http://www.acmoore.com/
Debbie, no, that store is across from the Christmas Tree Shop isn't it..no it was one of the craft stores these girls are always talking about, it was absolutely one of the largest craft stores I'd been in..on same road I took for the airport to pick up Crissy but going back towards town..
Hobby Lobby?
think that's it Debbie..was nice store, have you been!
Sure wish some of you lived closer..yikes, so far 3 table sof craft goodies must be purged..hoping Debbie might want some projects other than they'll see garbage day at the curb..I know should be recycling, giving to groups but I have inquired over the past and really all have more than they need.
Should take lessons from Barb and make a 'to do-to get' list so that I'd be more organized, here I went to town this morning and just realized I need kitty litter and pop so must take a run downtown to pick some up.
LindaKay did you get your Ipad figured out, Kyle's been working all weekend so didn't have the chance to talk to him about it. Think it would be such a neat thing to have....hmmm bit too much for a birthday gift isn't it? could always say, give me $$$ and I can put in the balance..technology, isn't it grand!
June and Alex dropped in for a visit..too cute, he went outside for a moment and it took June 1/2 second to give me $80. and ask if I'd go to the wool shop in Barrie and pick up 4 skeins she had put away, gave her c.c. to keep them until I pick them up, said just leave them on the table downstairs and I'll pick them up Tuesday..she's been knitting up a storm doing those specialty scraves but she has more metal in her wrists than bones, always aching but she keeps knitting so Alex get frustrated with her not doing as she's told...here I'm helping her on the sly..
Betty, I have never been there. It sounds fun. I think I could get in some trouble. lol
Hobby Lobby is a great store, we have Michael's also, but I always prefer HL. They have a huge selection. The other one we have is Maguelson's. They are fairly large also. HL is the one that has my knobs for my island. They are all in Omaha, so I don't get there very often. I just spend too much when I go. Dishes are done, scraps ready to take to the chickens so will put on boots and coat in little bet and get that done. I have plenty of organizing to work on the rest of the day. I have tons of recipes to get transfered to didn't paper of books.
The sun is coming out right now. This must be the calm before the storm. Take care and have a great day to all.
Calm before the storm??? perhaps, haven't listened to the newscast for my area..on my way to the IGA Foodland the talk show host on the radio said tomorrow is the day that most are depressed, now can you tell me, how would they ever come to that conclusion?
Debbie, we'll have to meet up at CrackerBarrel and then do HobbyLobby!
wow, got a bit ambitious, made a path to the store next door or was it more for the big green gargage bin that sit on the other side of the tree line? Then a path to the back storage house, although it has a peaked roof the snow sat heavily so got the special roof shovel out that I bought last year, talk about doing a good job..so now that's a worry taken away, hate to see it cave in..have a wooden shed on my list of wants for 2011, let's hope before next winter it will be up and I'll not have tha job to do.
Got lazy, was hungry for scalloped potatoes, bought everything I needed to do them this morning, change in plan, there sat a box of scalloped potatoes, simply add onions and water/milk..taking the easy way out..
Back to pack some wood goodies!!!
Got the book out for the hot chocolate piece...the shelf holds 2 mason jars, 1 hot chocolate/1 marchmallows..isn't it adorable..have the 2 little ones already painted, think I said that before right??? just wanted to share how cute these pieces are...all the fixings are in the box just waiting to be put together..
Betty, those are so cute...you have such a great talent for these crafts.
Shane accidentally sat on my foot. I have ice on it. WIll live. But OUCH.
OUCH/OUCH Debbie, am sure Shane is feeling badly about it.
Have decided to call for an appt. at the doctors, major pain in the legs again tonight..last night took a pain killer and just took another..works wonders but that is NOT the answer is it. Not sure if you'd describe it as pain or severe aching...oh well, should have done it weeks ago.
Getting ready to settle in, still early but if I prop myself up on pillows with my book and fall asleep reading I won't have to hobble from the couch to the bed.
Thanks for keeping me company today...
Betty those are cute and it looks like you don't have to look for anything to do with yourself. When it gets nice outside in the spring I'm gonna clean out the garage where my craft room is. It's a mess and it'll take a few days of hard work to get it straightened out. I think I always have energy to get it done when I know I can't and then I loose it when the time comes lol. The dogs just got their big bowl of scraps so they are happy. There's not a one of them that looks under fed. They were all out with me today while I was doing chores. I just remembered I forgot to fill the washer fluid, but I can do that in the morning while the vehicle is warming up. I did finally take pictures of earrings and island. I'll see if I can get them downloaded and moved over to show you all. I have never done that before so will be a new experience. Will check back in before I go to bed and see what's all going on. I'll think of you all while I'm eating supper, it sure smells good. Chat later.
Gee ladies for a Sunday we all got pretty productive!!!! Betty with her sorting and pathway making, Shirley with her jewelry and feather pillows and I got three blocks done and ready to mail along with an envelope of fabric and a box of fabric. Good going!!! We can excuse Debbie due to foot and child issues! Crissy and Laura were doing research. How has everyone else's day gone?
Just had to come downstairs to gab even though I had just taken 2 tylenol 3's and about to doze off!!!! Guess who came in?? Yes, Danie, she said her husband was in the vehicle outside waiting for her to pack up a few more of her things..seems while she was home this weekend they talked/talked some more and yet again..alll night. They've come to an arrangement that she will have a room in the basement and some of her freedom to come and go, she'll be with her boys and already her being home has brought them great joy, SOOOO perhaps I wasn't as nasty as I thought, just maybe her being home and talking just might do the trick..lordy, now I can rest a bit more and tummy can stop churning..
She says she'll keep the room until the end of the month as being home is on a trial basis, she feels if she had the room to come to when things get overwhelming, then that might just be the solution..we'll see.
Lord works in mysterious ways doesn't he!
