I hate to hear that, Debra. Today's technology is amazing and hope & pray a combination of it and good doctors will get her through. We're all here for you :) Love ya girlie.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Hello all. Just checking in to let you know I'm still here and Ray and I are both doing well.
Nita, thank you so much for the card and know it will be added to the keepers pile.
Crit, pretty smile and pretty red hair.
Debra I am so sorry your Sister has cancer. I know it is easier to give advice than to take it but I pray she will keep her faith knowing that with God, all things are possible. She can get well
It has been a cold winter but when Spring comes, I'm gonna work so hard I'll wish for Winter again. I have a few seeds up and the garage still looks like a greenhouse.
Love & hugs to all
Faye

Who else besides me is gonna wish we had a way to bottle the cold North wind that's still blowing when we're out there next Spring & Summer digging and planting and sweat's rolling down our cheeks...in more ways than one? July and August around here are especially brutal when you figure in the humidity and you can hardly breathe. Ya'll know what I'm talking about but am still saying "Come on Spring." Are we gluttons for punishment or what?

I meant to take photos today of two Amaryllis I have blooming, will do that tomorrow before the blooms starts to fade, one already has.

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

Glad to see you Faye. Wondered about you, hadn't seen you for a while.

When I get all hot and sweaty working outside, I come in and look at pictures from the winter and it cools me down. :-)

Hey Faye, glad to see you posting.

Good Morning Every One. Nuzzles to Charlie. Hugs to Charlies Mom, Charlene.

Faye, so good to see you I wish we could have coffee together all of us at the same time in the same room. Like you, I have Faith In God.

Talent is not easy to learn, but if it is in you then you got it, That goes for you too, Fruity, Neener and Charleen.
Linda, I am pretty excited for Spring to see what ya have going there..
Did you ever get a crinum?
If Not, Plz let me know.

If I sent any of you a tuber marked four o clock, here it is when it is waking up. I had to dig this one, it is my newest red cross, and I sent seeds of it to almost everyone.

Hello again, you have to be the very best friends anyone could want. Always willing to listen, love and laugh with, and I love you all.
Me too on wanting to hug on Charlie, he is the cutest mascot this form could have.
Debra I sure hope you sent me a red 4 o'clock. should I start the seeds inside or just wait and plant outside in late April?
Happy Valentines Day to each of you.
Hugs, Faye

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Not to me :(((( Maybe one day when you get more seeds :)

sorry for being away

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Susie, I have tons and tons of those seeds. Will send some to you girlie, and plant them now for summer blooms.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No crinium yet Debra.

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

guess I'd better get mine in the jiffy tray and get the started. I have several that just say
4 o'clocks. Doesn't give the color. I don't like starting indoors because I just don't have anyplace to put them. I guess I could put them in the east windows, if my silly new dog doesn't eat them. Little Toot. Going to have to be careful with him.

put them outside where you want them to grow. I just throw my seeds on the snow. That way I can see where they are going, and mark it on my note pad.
If you start them inside they might get too lanky.

Char, are you gonna put a red ribbon on Charley and your other nuzzlers for Valentine's Day?

Such a nice sunny day here in the 60's and all next week is supposed to be the same. Hope they're right and eventually this brisk wind will lay down. My next plan outside after some clean-up is to start layering a new lasagna bed down the other side of our driveway and order mulch. Thought by the time the bulbs and perennials on order arrive in late April or early May they'll have a new home to stretch out in and won't be crowded in the other beds.

Does anyone have suggestions for a fast-growing perennial ground cover to plant around a flowering Cherry tree? Despite the leaves on it Spring to Fall, that bed still gets full sun most of the day. I have Ajuga but would like something that grows quicker and perhaps would bloom.

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Fruity you could try creeping geranium. It goes fast. I pull it up to keep it in bounds here. I have it in that rock garden you saw. It blooms with little flowers. Can't remember when. :) Most perennial ground covers are only going to bloom for a little while. I'll see if I can find the right name for that stuff for you. It has variegated leaves I think. you know I'm sucker for them.

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

I have a yard full of wild violets. How would those be?

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Shoot Fruit Loop I can't find the name of those specific plants I have. But I can start some of them for you in the spring when they come back to life. Heck I must have pulled a bushel of them out last summer.

Wild violets would be nice too, but they only bloom for a short time too. I spend many hours pulling them out from where they don't need to be too. :0)

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I'll have some pink blooming oxalis bulbs if you remind me. They grow pretty good and pretty too.
I hadn't thought of putting red ribbons on but if I find the pink tape I may do that Fruity, PRETTY IN PINK CHARLEY....

Vinca would be pretty. Charley looks great!
I had smooth blue asters around my old fashioned pear tree, had to move them so the brugs could sit around it tho..

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

OH Debra did you say those are four O'Clocks ??? I Have a yellow & A Bicolor & a fushia color
& sure they will be loaded out in the bed this year :) with all the seeds I took off them & them that fell to the ground
I think there will be plenty , I thought you said tubers of something else .

Looks as if it will be another day in labor Still No stones as of yet, so off for some BKF & Down for the count
will chat with you all later in the day.
