Yes, just letting you know it came. Sometime I'm slow anyway. And I've got some dumb 'puter issues going on right now so I'm even slower. :-(

When I saw these two projects of yours, it put me in mind of when my mom and I took a tole painting class together, but that was some years ago (she passed in '99). So after a good boo-hoo, I hunted up one of our last projects together.

She did the goose on the right and I did the cat on the left. Don't know if I could do anything like that anymore. Oh well. Happy memories though.

Betty I got my package today . I am going to need to get my paint. When do instructions on line start???

I know but in all of the throwing of receipts for purchases (shhhh don't tell anyone at the border) lol , I threw away your check..not good is it???

Everyone else had sent cash, couldn't remember who had sent a cheque..

I don't send cash through the mail, I've had it stolen before and there is no way to replace it, that and I never have cash on me anymore LOL I'll send a cashiers check or money order if it's easier for you....

Mine came today too, great big box so well packed and organized. Can't wait to get started! Thank you Betty. I mailed $20 cash last week in a card. Any chance you received it yet? Should be easy to spot in your mail since there's glitter on the envy.....lol

My package arrived as well but as some of the paper was ripped I don't know if all the contents are inside. The baggie was intact so I know I have all that was in side. I do have 2 leg sticks and 2 round slices, one that looks like a carrot nose and one traced with a purple pen. Also the base, the snow family and the trees. Could you post a picture of the small loose pieces that we're supposed to have. Diagram for second project was under the taped label. Hope you've received my postal money order. I might have made it payable to Betty Pauze.

Got 2 envelopes yesterday, think one of them was yours Mittsy, and thank you..will add to the above when I get to work this morning..

Got mine too..and the diagram too...Ineed to get some paint too.

As for the paint, would imagine 1 bottle of the off-white/cream and 1 bottle of the color you want for trees would do..think dollar store has the acrylic paint..

In the meantime, sand/sand/sand..lol

Betty-I am not trying to be a turd, but I need a day that someone is here so I can run and get a postal money order real quick. If you had Paypal (super easy to set up) I could send it that way, but to do only a postal money order, I don't want to tote Jonathan along for that-would take me 4X longer to get him ready and in the car than to get the darn money order-LOL

You can only do what you have to do Stacey, send it when you can...cheque would be ok if it makes it easier..if it is just make it out to Betty Pauze/Roper...not to fret..suppose to be a fun project not something to give you mental strain!

LOL, nope, saw those tiny pieces, put them in the Christmas baggies, so I don't loose them.

Well I did not look under the label and I threw the packaging away and I'm at work so there's no way for me to dig it out and I'm sure Dave took the garbage with him this morning to his dad's because it was full last night.

No you were not to get directions to the main project..we'll do that on-line and you can improvise

Oh I think I need to go and get my paint. Need more white and maybe something with glittery.

housse-if you go to Michaels they have a top coat-can't remember what it is called that has like an iridescent glitter in it-I think it is star something by deco art-in the rack with the paints with other finishes with the Americana or Folk Art paints....

Got some envelopes tonight but much too tired to post, surely would make a mistake so will wait until my eyes are wide open and do the posting in the morning..

I need to figure out what I need to get, I have no clue what I have from last year!

What color will your trees be Crissy? green/country blue/deep blue/rose? off white or beige for snowpeople..2 colors will do..nope I lied, you need white and black and pink for rosey cheeks..do you have any of those colors???

I think I am going to make little hats for snowmen. Never tried but will see. Kids are all over the box I had to put it up. Guess I will need to get out more brushes as I will have helpers on this.

yes, orange as well..

As for the hats, I was going to look for baby mitts at the $$$ store, the ones without a thumb, or adult gloves that the knit has a bit of stretch that when a finger is cut it could be pulled onto the head and glued (glue gun works well if you have one) then a piece of string or embroidery floss to tie at the end of the hat to gather..

I'll try and get mine done within the next few days so you have a better visual..

Get the sanding done and if you want, paint the trees all one color, the base color off off white-same as the snowpeople and we'll go from there..
