Good morning everyone!! Happy time change!!!

We both crashed out on the couch last night watching a documentary on someone, don't remember who now.. lol

Our Central heater (electric, not gas) is buzzing again, Dave finally agrees that it's time to call a repair man. I keep telling him that it's only 3 1/2 years old and is under warranty, he says I don't know that, and the heater itself would be the only thing covered, breakers and wiring and stuff like that wouldn't be, and we have to call the same people who put it in, no we don't because it's a manufacturers warranty, not an installation warranty, he says I'm wrong about that too and is upset about the service call charge, if it's under warranty we won't pay for a service call, he says I'm wrong about that too!!! uuggggg

Anyway, anytime the heater motor comes on it sounds like there's a huge bee inside my attic it's loud enough we can hear it up the road and sleeping through the buzz is impossible, but if it's just the fan running it doesn't do it.

I pray you all will have a wonderful week with one good news after another!!! GOT to start the Monday on a positive vibe!!!!!

Can anyone explain to me why they call for freezing when temps went as low as 32????
Anyway, I was prepared for that... busted my behind Saturday till late evening... a few tender brugmansias that are late in coming up, I couldn't dig them out, as this week is supposed to be warm..(want them to be hardier).. they're covered with a layer of old cotton tshirts.. and insulated again with plastic boxes, then straws on top of those boxes. Seems to work!!! This morning, they're bright and perky after I remove their prisons!!

What am I gonna do today?? Oh yeah, cut down the gingers!!! I use their cuttings, (stalks are as long as 7 ft.) for natural mulch each year. T
The mulching get as high as 1/2 ft. Last year, with the unexpected heavy snow, I thought they were doomed!!!! But they survive.

Then...much later...prepare a new bed for Hambone.. in another extension of Kel's workshop. He wasn't too happy competing with my plants last night!! A few overturned but at least he didn't urinate on any!!

Thunder, Sue.. the valerian gave me a side effect. Nausea.
I had to take 2 instead of 1 for deep slumber. But it did work for a good 7 hours' sleep. Normally, I'd wake up every 3.
Will have to check the body pillow at WM, since I learnt that there's a natural sleep aid sold there too.. especially for aepnia victims.
Thunder, I don't know about those wedge pillows. Seems that would help with a gradual elevation? My 3 pillops are causing 'neck aches'.

I also bought one of those odd shaped memory foam pillow a couple years back, and that doesn't help!!! That was ridiculously expensive!

Well...maybe a ray of sunshine...I have a phone interview with a really great company at 2:00 on Wednesday. It's the first action I've seen in a long, long time! So wish me luck.

Another bit of good news...our son that lives in Florida and works for Schwan's just got a promotion and a move to Colorado. It's a pay boost of $11,000 for them. My DDIL's folks are in FL and NO ONE is in CO for them....hope they can make some good friends fast...I already told her to find a nice church...she'll make friends in a hurry there.

We go Thursday afternoon to talk to the surgeon about the c-scan results. I hope that's not terrible news...so all your prayers are appreciated!

Crissy-on the bottom of each photo, there is a spot for someone to comment. There is a box under it that says subscribe and mine are automatically checked so I have "subscribed" and get an email when anyone comments. I can do the same thing with my blog:)

Made vegetable beef soup today. I just love soup this time of year. Just finished up some Cheeseburger soup, then made some potato and now veggie. Maybe chili next.

Finally got here missed you all but so many things have happened and then a migraine from he--.. 5 1/2 days of it nearly went crazy was so super bad. still have 1/2 one but can deal withit i think.. and thinking going to cancel the surgery.. not really comfortable with it.

i read some days actually looks like a month or more.. i missed so someone is getting married in few months..

Okay, Jayebird....here it is!

Cheeseburger Soup

Combine in a large pan or dutch oven:
1 1/2 c. water
1 Tbl beef bouillon granules
2 small grated carrots
2 c. cubed potatoes
1 chopped onion
1/4 c. green pepper
Minced garlic to taste
1 lb. ground chuck, browned, drained.

Bring to a boil and simmer until veggies are tender. Add 2 1/2 c. milk, return to simmer. Thicken with flour or cornstarch. Remove from heat and stir in 12 oz. cubed velveeta cheese.

Optional: 1/4-1 tsp cayenne pepper or hot sauce.

I use beef broth instead of the bouillon, and I use a whole box of beef broth instead of just 1 1/2 cups. Then I don't use as much milk. I also use cheddar cheese instead of the velveeta. Bill really likes this one, too.
