clean up on computer desk...keyboard...and my shirt!

Well, we have lived in this house for almost 21 years...and they "left it" for us. I would say it is at least 30 years old. He has replaced everything in it at least twice. We found out it eats socks really bad also.

Well - nurse those old washer/dryers back to health !

I bought my Washer / Dryer when I was 23 which was 2 years ago !!!
(OKAY... 22 years... )

They lasted great... DH made me get rid of them for tiny problems (like the dryer would never shut off on it's own)... and haven't found such good luck yet... Had 2 'warranty' probs with washer... now have one I swear doesn't clean... and my dryer doesn't work much better....

Silly Deb... That's NOT your dryer eating the socks.....

You are so right, the new ones just don't last anymore. And it is almost easier to put the money in the old machine.

I have the same problem with this one not cleaning. I put some things, like socks, through twice. Doesn't matter the detergent or bleach. He checked the agitator thingy (thats technical term I am told...DD uses "thingy" for everything).

Nah, learned a while ago..Drawers, under dresser varment stealing socks before they make it to laundry pile!
I bet they snicker the whole time we swear at dryers for eating socks....

Maryl, I think you're right...the same alien that ate my dishtowels....and we found them in the back yard! GROSS!

Ahhh yes, senioritus...it is horrible! I have 3 girls go through school, NEVER called to the principals office...and believe me, the oldest was ah.......just like her father. Not but 2 months into school year...I have been called by teachers 5 times! He has had detention 3 times (that I know of).

And, I get that empty nest feeling now...even after all that. But, its the wrong ones NOT leaving driving me crazy! lol

Grrr...sigh, well haven't had any problems with that area for DS, until just recently, blew me away!!
who'ld a thought for being guilty by association of all things! Girls mostly getting into I don't wanna be here attitude...geesh, I get tired thinking of all there shinanagans.

Judy - I'm thinking I'll have a Hibiscus Festival in my back yard by the weekend....so I'll get pics then....

SO. When you hear me say... he will have to make the college decision... it is KILLING Me.. not to make this happen FOR him... but I've learned... it has to be HIS decision... meanwhile he works at Smoothie King and goes to his GF's house everyday... and may do this until he is 90 years old I suppose... (But he WILL Pay rent)

Hibiscus festival, How cool! Do you know what color they will be??? I have 3 that were transplants from OH...Didn't bloom this year, but i really didn't expect them to either, hoping next year...Awe, Belle will look so pretty with the blooms for sure! Amazing how quickly pups grow.

LOL, I CAN picture that, almost expecting to do the same with my senior...lol good thing she has long hair!

But, Mom, at least he has a job! Got to hand it to him for continuing that...Going to college will be just a plus...My college girl is doing ok, managing to pay her car insurance and other bills...no rent...Wowww, they are home! Way early!

What to heck, you guys were having a party, food fight and all while I was packing up boxes..yikes, should have joined you all..

It's almost midnight, last is done, even got to sweep us the sawdust, no, tape didn't work so Rose and Cathy who dropped in played for what seemed hours trying to get me bits/pieces so that the pkgs would stay together until I get home tomorrow with a few rolls of tape..

It was just after eleven when I finished but you guys entertained me until now..what a hoot you all are, imagine what fun it would be to have you all under one roof..remember everyone, party at my house in 2012..lol

I'm so tired, leg is giving me the what for so now that I'm not working with band saw, scroll saw, drill I can go take drugs for the pain...ok, so I think aspirin is drugs.

OMG I'm so laughing, Rose just came downstairs to say she was off to bed, I was taking a photo of the parcels, picture this, had a bath earlier, left my hair to dry, not a curl in them, have a long flannel nighty on, my working nighty I call it, holes, paint and worn looking like something the cats wouldn't even bring home and Rose says 'would you like me to take a picture of you with the parcels?' would I??? 'take a look at me Rose, do I look like someone who wants to be in a photo, go to bed girl' lol

Deer Hunting Season here opened on Monday. Shudder! Don't mind the hunt just mind people tresspassing. Betty you mentioned that when you had the farm you would not let people tresspass to hunt.LOL, LOL, LOL - that is the biggest joke going in my area. I have had MNR here, the OPP and yes 1 year I even resorted to the RCMP.Storm and Quill wear an irridescent collar and leash and orange bow tied on their tail( don't tell me that doesn't embarrass them). I wear Hunters Orange - feel like a darn pumpkin.

Had what I hope is my last dental surgery today - all of this extra work caused by radiation damage. SIGH! Seems a small price to pay to achieve a healthy body though. Only 4 stitches today plus some sort of packing along the gum lines - I won't go into it as it is rather yucky. Stitches out Nov. 11.Am hoping I wil get the new crown before the start of 2011.
Several signs up in this area and lots of press asking for everyone to hold off lighting their Christmas lights until after Nov 11 to show respect and support of all of our troops.Sure hope people can respect this!!!!

Got photo's of Caleb..asked how the youngest enjoyed his costume and Caleb told me he didn't wear it because it frightened him..who would have though..lol..his mom didn't I'm sure when she asked me to make it..perhaps he'll wear it next year!

Looks like everyone was busy last night, missing griddles and getting pancake dough everywhere (oh how I can relate to that,) popcorn fight, quilting, boxing crap up! I can't wait to start that project!!! LOL

I dealt with my dad's girlfriend and my mom, I think I need a shrink.

I was having some work issues and texting my boss about them and my dad's girlfriend starts calling, I don't answer because I'm texting my boss regarding work back and forth, voice mail picked up and she called right back. I still didn't answer and so she starts texting me, one right after the other, about what Partylite candles I want for my birthday. Oh I got POed big time, that is one of the rudest things you can do. So I text her and told her that I was having work issues and am talking to my boss and I would call her back, thinking that logically she would stop texting and calling because I'm talking to my boss... oh no, she really started texting, one sentence texts one right after the other, they said, "Is everything ok?" next text "Why are you texting your boss?" next text "Whats the problem at work?" OMG!!!

Then my mom started calling, I had already talked to her twice yesterday and she was all down in the dumps, my step-dad is having some local radiation done on a cancerous mole on the side of his head and we were talking about how they say it's 98%, I told her that birth control is also 98% and I've never gotten pregnant so the chances of them killing all the cancer is really good. She said, "Well good for you for never getting pregnant on birth control." I said, "Thanks mom." She then realized what she said and changed the subject, I just told her that I needed to get off the phone and hung up. Then people wonder why I don't answer my phone. Sheesh!!!

Now that I got that off my chest, Caleb looks great!!!

Last night thought I'd take time to call mom, make sure she's ok before I leave, said, how are you, crisp reply, FINE, still in pain, YES, DOESN'T GET BETTER, not doing too much are you, WHO ELSE WILL DO IT IF I DON'T...end of conversation..

Just got a call, pleasant but sounded very down, asked how she was doing, DEPRESSED, YOU KNOW HOW I LOVE GOING TO THAT CRAFT SHOW, told her that no way would she be able to do it, reminded her how hard the spring one was..told me seeing as I couldn't take her, Jimmy offered to take her, spend the weekend doing things she was missing because she couldn't come with me,asked me how to get to all our shopping haunts ...ahhhh kept me cool..lol..yep...told her if she did go likely I'd see her at some point..told me to ENJOY myself though... drats and more drats

Betty you're absolutely NOT wrong, she has no business going anywhere in her current state. Stick to your guns....

Know the call was to make me feel guilty .. NOT, did tell her if she wanted to go later this month or early next I'd take her..so far she hasn't mentioned FLORIDA but I'm sure that's coming.

Betty she will be fine staying at home. If she went she will be in to much pain to do any walking around then she will be sitting somewhere waiting for all to finish shopping. It has to be hard on her to realize that maybe you are right. Where is your Halo?

Think next time she wants to go I'll say I'll ask a few friends, she wouldn't like that, at that time I could try to make her understand that it's our time the same as I have girlfriend time...asked my sister when she last spoke to my mom and she said about a month ago, asked one of my brothers, about 2 months ago, the other, he calls once a week to see how she's doing, so that leave ME...am sure it's like a lot of families, always one that seems to be on call..

On the good side, am going state side tonight and I'm excited..have to go at lunch to pick up travel insurance, US dollars (charge too much at border for exchange) have to go to the Liquidation Center, saw last night that they had more OTT-lites and my girlfriend Darlene asked me to pick up 4, apparently her hubby used it for doing some close up work in his shop and wants one..doubt I'll get all done, might have to do 1 or things after work...plus can't forget to purchase a few rolls of wide tape..

My gosh, chatted with my friend Lupe! Still no baby, being very stubborn. If she doesn't have her by Sunday then they will try inducng, but she said she may end up with a C-cection. Baby appears to be in good health, just don't want to come out.

Judy, was listening to a report this morning on the radio, talking about difficult children, they've come to the conclusion that kids who had a difficult birth are the ones who have most issues..they were saying that although doctor's don't agree to do 'c' section either because they feel there is no need or too costly that those children born with 'c' section are the best behaved..

So just maybe it might be better for Lupe to have 'c' section!

Betty just wanted to wish you a safe trip and have fun.
