Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!Just Gab'n
Thank you, Betty!!
I'm first!!
Well dang that was fast! I am second!
LOL
Thank you for your kind remarks on Justin. Yes, he is a "looker".
I do worry about him, very much. He "usually" sends a little something daily on FB so friends and family know he is OK. But there are times when he goes out on missions we don't hear for days. It is especially hard if you hear of a tragedy over there. He is right in Afghanastan....in the bad area of
Tarin Kowt. I know, from Justin, how much love parents feel when they adopt a child....you don't have to give birth to have the unconditional love.
Switched rooms as I was typing...
Certainly don't Debbie..don't need the paperwork either! Know Scott is in a dangerous place as well; as soon as you hear of a death of one of ours your heart just stops.
You are quick, Susan thought you were to have shut down the computer so you could sew without being stuck on computer..lol..no can do?
MOVED 'MAGGIE'S' post over to here...she posted...
I'm using my phone, so the picture is small. Is he Army? Is he on a 12 month tour? Sometimes they're 18 months. Waaaaay too long. Those long tours are notorious for breaking up families. Very sad.
My husband, thankfully, isn't deployed at the moment. We're stationed at Robins AFB, Georgia. We just moved here in June from Eielson AFB, Alaska.
LOL, there you go, got something in common Crissy? Do you like sandwiches..must have one for lunch in celebration of both your birthdays..
Cathy just e-mailed me and said she felt the furries were more hers than mine as she's always at my place feeding them while I go galavanting..lol
Maggie, how long were you in Alaska? Are you missing it?

lol - no, it's my obsession!! I've been making "parts" for the applique while I'm here, though......
It's International Sandwich Day, have a sandwich everyone!! LOL
Betty - I Finally thought of the sewing term I was thinking about - BASTING....... duh!!
That's called multi tasking, did they ask you in the interview if you could multi-task and did you ask them if you could keep up with DG?
Don't you just love it when you can't remember a word..enough to drive you bonkers..
Waiting for Suzanne to go for lunch, lordy, if she doesn't get a move on I can call it supper! saves cooking..lol
Greg called and asked if I could pick up parts for him in Barrie and save him a trip so said I would, now if I can remember to go there before heading home tonight..mind is not like it once was.
I just had leftover roast beef...made a sandwich with it!
We were in AK for 4 years. We tried to extend, but...extension DENIED. Bummer. All of us miss it and we miss our friends something awful. Another crappy part of military life.
Women multi-task better than men, doncha know?
I can't even imagine a man trying to multi task (SORRY TUBBY...you an exception my love!)
Maggie, I had to laugh. I have taken two of those "facebook quizzes" for when your bored out of your mind. Both told me I should live in Alaska! lol Always wanted to do the cruise to there.
Crissy & Betty both. Pick your brains here. What was the name of the restuarant we ate at.....was it on Bourban Street? The rib place? I have a friend going down there this weekend....and wanted to tell him to take his wife there.
Oh I know... hang on Debbie....
I think it's called Blues City Cafe, HOWEVER Debbie, I like Rum Boogies better. We didn't go there because it's at the other end of the block, same side of the street though. B.B. Kings has really good food, probably the best, but they're pricey.
Crissy, you also share Birthday's with...
look at my next post for correct names.

Comedian Dennis Miller (1953)
Actress Kate Capshaw (1953)
Comedienne Roseanne Barr (1952)

Tough guy actor Charles Bronson (1921)
wow - Charles Bronson!!
I'm going to check that link for My birthday (quite aways off, yet...)
well crap! There's no picture! This computer is brand new and apparently I don't know what I'm doing!
The picture has to be saved to your hard drive, then you can add it here.
LOL how funny -looked up my DH's birthday (March 6) and Michelangelo has the same birth date!!
I'm on an iMac. It's totally different than my laptop. I'll go get on that to post a picture.
Oh she is so pretty! Looks like she loves her Daddy!
oh Maggie - what a special moment - she looks so proud to be with Daddy, and he looks so lovingly at her........
Oh Maggie, love that picture! She will treasure that forever, have it blown up for her wedding day "My first love."
Thanks, girls. They had so much fun that night. I must admit....I was jealous that MOMMY couldn't go! Mom's weren't even allowed in to take pictures. :( I think I had just as much fun planning, shopping, and getting her ready though. I can't wait until the 2011 ball....I've already been shopping. I reminded Keith that Learynn won't even be walking by then and he doesn't mind. She's going too. Double the shopping & getting ready fun for me!
My first love..what a perfect caption for that photo...you'd best take 2 or 3 copies for yourself Maggie because she's not coming back to you once I get her..tell her I've got snow, sometimes more than Alaska..lol that ought to get her here..talk about gorgeous, both of them..
Debbie, Crissy is right it was Blues City Cafe, guess we didn't pay much attention, we were still thinking about the ride back with the Indy 500 driver..just joshing you Crissy, someone's got to give you a difficult time on your birthday..bad of me since you could have complained about MY driving the week you were here
LOVE Charles Bronson..
Crissy....VIP task for you. Is there something in my horoscope stars that I should NOT be cooking this week? Dear heavens, do not ask what I did to a pancake at lunch!
I have to go clean the stove.
shakes head...shamed.
Debbie
e-mailed Jeff to say 'hi' haven't touched base all week, had a nice talk back and forth then the last e-mail said 'bye grandma' asked why he had a need to call me 'grandma' said 'it's Braedon, been talking with you for 1/2 hr..it's take your son to work day so I'm helping dad..lol
Don't tell me you had charred pancakes Debbie??? I've been cooking of late and doing ok, just maybe I've jinxed you!
Better check who the stars are on my birthday..could it mean Crissy we have something in common
OK, can one of you call this #
1-877-268-6711, doing a test
