Betty, she went home yesterday around Noon. So no, I didn't get to see her. Her family is not the friendliest/most receptive...so it might be a few days.
Our house is in a little town....but on each side of town....is four miles before...four miles after....of spread out houses, cows/farms....and then the lake. SO, all the kids from surrounding area...come into town to go trick or treating. We have sidewalks...and it is much safer.
Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!
That's Dave's trucks windshield, it's 2 months old. SSOOO that's another $200.00 down the toilet!
Good morning!
Trick or treaters...awe some are just too adorable! We in the past couple of years get up to 200! The older kids all come to my house especially to see hat jacob decides to be, lol...I always wear a witch hat or a clown hat.
i don't like when the older kids don't get dressed up either, what ever happened to imagination?
Well, i was going to sift, but it is just too muddy, I have mostly clay so it just sticks, yuck...Will wait till later!
So today, I am off to joAnnes, have to pick up a few things, I hope to find Gold metallic thread, for sewing..i hope it's better then embroidery stuff, that was awful to work with!
Also, I do want to continue painting before it gets too nice out. Suppose to be in the 70's, I think.
Betty, What's the workshop this year??? LOL, got to get it planned and save my pennies.
Oh, sometimes Steve goes ice fishing, but when he goes to cottage it's to work on the house...Basement is slated and then it will be done! he's is going in a couple of weeks with a buddy to swap something with the water thingy. We are getting rust, not too happy about that...Then, I think we will be going up for Thanksgiving weekend, travelling to the Rez to see family and get our Christmas tree!
OK I better get a move on, time alll the sudden is flying.
OMG how did that happen Crissy, storm? You are not having much luck with vehicles lately..you and Debbie make a great pair..best I not talk to soon..touch wood!!
Debbie, no, don't imagine they would be friendly, I'm sure she'll get an opportunity to bring the baby to your place so you can enjoy Kylie all to yourself without prying eyes.
Judy, wasn't sure you all wanted to do a Christmas craft project this year..I'm game..should start a thread..
Joann's, wish I could go with you..Judy, do you change needles when you change the type of thread? Sometimes that's half the problem.
sooo when you go to Joann's get needles that will best suit the thread you are purchasing..
Wow, that's horrible, you just got to wonder what gets into people to do such damage when they don't even know you, then most likely these same people complain about high insurance rates because of all the vehicle repairs..
Betty, we have been waiting to see what yourt Christmas project is going to be!
The quilt is King size! Lots of rolling up the quilt!

When will Dave get the truck repaired?
LindaKay, what kind of sewing machine do you have? doing a quilt would be more than difficult to roll in the small arm space on regular machine, either that or you've got some secret as to how..realize you do one side then the other..did you get any puckering?
OH Maannn Crissy! That's horrible. Yikes was someone mad at you guys? i can't believe people don't have better things to do.
My first thought was a hopefull something fell on it, not that some one would just walk up to perfect stranger and be so distructive.
So sorry this happened and now added cost, Can it be covered on insurance?
Betty, yes, yes...yes been waiting for you to decided on the workshop craft! But if you have different idea's can we still all be in one thread?
You've had great turn outs, last year quite a few new people too! Watching and waiting here...
Well, went to joannes, didn't get metallic thread...Needed a new pair of scissors too, some one used my material shears to cut i don't know what! These new ones are going to get locked up!
OMG, you would think it's summer, a beautiful 72!
OK, off to sew for a bit! Betty, the block i am on now is for the contest! I'll d-mail you what I am doing...
omg Crissy - how horrible.... How was he able to drive home in this - must have been pretty difficult to see!! You can always say the broken glass is diamond chips LOL
I know, I know, t'ain't funny, but better to laugh than to cry...... siiiiiiiiiigh
Another vehicle expense - like, you really Needed this?!?!
Halloween - we don't get many kids, maybe 5-6, and we used to buy a lot of stuff, but then it was pointless, so we stopped doing the "Halloween" thing. We used to dress up as the "Grim Reaper" and "Vampira". As Bob is so tall, he's rather scary. Also, he has a spirit-gummed mask, which makes his scary face so real. I have makeup I used to put on, plus "the Voice"..... hahahaha one child that heard me (and knew me) thought I had a tape recorder, the "voice" sounded so real LOL
I have a Brother sewing machine, nothing fancy, just one I bought at wal mart! So far, the puckering has been very small. I just keep tugging at it, and keeping it tight! I started in the middle, so the biggest part is done first, then it gets easier!
Judy what contest are you IN??? You just got to hide those scissors, nothing worse than having family use them for every different medium other than fabric..
LindaKay from the needle to the casing how many inches do you have..
I've got a program of some sort than enables some quilting and also figures out material for different designs, never used it and have had the machine for eons..
Susan, sounds as though you and Bob enjoy playing with the little ones as well..do you also decorate the outside?
Judy do you have Ms. Noseworthy hanging..drats, Sailor took the arm and the foot off mine, have to put it together tonight so I can hang it..
we don't "do" Hallowe'en anymore. There's too few kids, and it takes Bob & I an hour to get into costume, so they're sitting "gathering dust". No one around here seems to "do" Hallowe'en anymore, either. I guess there's just too many seniors to too few children in the park for it to be worthwhile.
The fact that it's on a Sunday doesn't help. Some rural towns are doing Hallowe'en on Saturday instead, but the City is still doing it on Sunday.
We ARE going to a Hallowe'en party on Saturday, at a fellow choir member's house. He's invited the whole congregation. The theme is Mad Men costumes. Last year they hired a band to play, and apparently it was fantastic. Nothing to bring, except a Food Bank item.
His wife loves to entertain apparently, so they really have a great turnout each year.
Now, to figure out how to dress in the '60's outfit without spending any $$.......
This is just a random act of vandalism, nothing targeted at us. He's getting it fixed today. Our neighbors own Jones Glass so he called them and got the owner on the phone and told him what happened, so they ordered us another windshield and Dave's appointment is at 1pm. We could file a claim with the insurance but that's a claim filed and when we got the last one replaced they said it would up our premiums a couple bucks a month. I don't want the claim on our record because we're trying to get a good customer discount.
So... cost for car repairs since October 1st, an injector regulator for my car, $400.00, my fog lights, $200.00, a new windshield for Dave's truck, $200.00. NOT GOOD!!
Susan we drove it home, we live 30 minutes outside of town. Most of the damage is on the passenger side but the glass is everywhere inside the truck.
We don't get any kids out in the sticks where we live, so we dress up every year and go out to 'show off' lol We're Pirates this year!
Oh! I wanted to let y'all know I'll get back on the horoscopes either this evening or tomorrow evening.
I think, because of the Mad Men themed party we're going to on Saturday , that I'll have to make some big bows for my neckline. Bob could wear a suit and tie with a white shirt and get away with it, but women need a Bit More dressing up than that LOL
I wonder if Bob has some narrow shoes LOL

Nice machine LindaKay..doesn't brother own Janome or Janome now own brother??? I would imagine I've the same width to work within...noticed last night that the plastic cabinet sure is scratched and dirty that I really should clean and buff it up..maybe once all this sewing is done and I put it away so I can work with other mediums.
Susan, how about a ValueVillage store, you could get a nice costume while helping their fund raising efforts.
Moved us over...
