Morning, you are up early with the chickens as well..you are doing the drywall this early morning?
Forgot my stash of costume material photo..let's hope by tonight the material will be transformed into Enzio and Max..sure wish a had bodies to try them on, would make life so much easier than guessing..
Don't work too hard..let the man of the house do the lifting.
Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!
we are in the process of clean and replace as we have finally received$. I will not do any lifting. But may change paint color now would be the time. You enjoy your sewing today. I can not wait to see end result so post pictures please. sun shining high 67.
That's a heat wave, think it's 48 here this morning, am sure it will warm up..flitting from sewing to cleaning the upstairs..
Bet you are thrilled that finally you can get things back to the way they were before the flood..everyone is in the mood to paint their rooms, let's hope I don't catch what's going around, NOT a fan of painting walls, projects yes, walls NO!!!
How wonderful Debbie - sounds like things went well and Kylie is finally here. Brittany did well to actually deliver on her due date
Betty, I'm thrilled that you got to talk to Tubby. Norm and I have been worried too. Glad to hear he and Shirley are okay.
I need to vent........
Went to Derry where I used to live last night for my quilting friends get together (we meet each Friday night) and everyone was busy with other things. I was a bit peeved as it is 55 miles one way for me to be there and not one of them called to let me know. I felt very foolish at the community center all by myself. I finally got a hold of one of them and let my feelings out. I'm afraid I laid a guilt trip on her. I told her I wouldn't be back unless they let me know they were meeting. Might have a few friends angry with me today but that's how I felt. I used to hold everything in but not anymore.... Thanks for letting me get this out of my system....
Today I have a baby shower so must finish wrapping the gift. Crodcheted a baby blanket for the Mom-to-be. That and a gift cert for whatever she needs will be my present.
Off to the shower (bath) to get ready.......Have a wonderful day.

Sometimes we just need to vent and I think a person just feels better getting it out. But I would have to agree with you Barb that is a long drive when you could have been doing something else. Have a great day and enjoy baby shower...........
Barb I'd be terribly annoyed as well, you would think one of them would have called, not like it's a one time thing, you always meet..perhaps one thought the other had but still no reason for bad manners.
You gift will be much appreciated I'm sure..is the shower held in the town you live?
Yes Barb it was nice to talk to both, didn't want to talk too long with Tubby because he needed his beauty rest but got to gab with Shirley..she enjoys fishing, said how wonderful it would be if we all got together, I've got to check the map out and see exactly where they are, one of these days I'll hop in that car of mine and do a round robin..
Back upstairs, finished the Assassin's boots, lol
Trying to regulate my day, finish one component of the costume and do some cleaning, once done I'm able to come back to take on the next..arm shields are next..figure if I get all the decorative pieces done then the actual costume will be a sinch..
Barb who cares if you made someone mad, someone should have called you, they obviously called each other. I'd have been mad too, and I would have told somebody about it. Have a great baby shower Barb!
Woo Hoooo Debbie!!! That's a wonderful weight, not near as big as we all thought, which is good! Congrats to everyone!!!!
Mary, Betty's son put naked men on her computer as either her desktop background or a screen saver, I don't remember which one she said.
Betty that's hard to do when you don't have accurate measurements, but I couldn't do it with accurate measurements lol
Waving to Tubby and Shirley, I hope your feeling better Tubby!!
Wow, are you all busy this morning! lol I slept in....not usual for me anymore to sleep past 7:00....but I woke up and it was 9:15!
Here are a couple pictures of the little miss.
Brittany ended up having a pitocin drip as the labor stalled. Once the drip was in....contractions flew off the clock, one on top of another. Somehow this young girl did it all ...with NO pain meds. I am really proud of her.
Kylie Rae was born at 10:24 p.m. at 8 lbs 1 oz. I don't have a length.
What wonderful pictures Debbie..you know, just maybe from their lack of upbringing and love, they'll devote themselves to each other and their child and make a go of it..praying they do..
Ahhh Kylie is adorable, she has tears poor dear in the 1st photo..
Will you go visit this afternoon Miss Lazybones..lol
I made it to about 9:30 and couldn't stand staying in my jammy thing so dressed I am, feel much better.
Cold and light mist here this morning; if I'm lucky enough by tomorrow afternoon to get all my projects done think I'll put away summer clothing and take out the winter garb..hate doing that, it's like welcoming winter and I'm not ready to do so!
Betty, those aren't tears...but eye drops, that they put in a newborns eyes. It does make their eyes water horrible. It is silver nitrate I believe to protect the babies eyes from any 'germs' it could pick up being born.
Visiting hours don't start til 1:00....so I will be over there shortly after most likely! lol
Yes, I so do hope they get some maturity and adult supervision through all this....but both families are very dysfunctional so far. Jessies Mom is only 37...she had her first child at age 15. Great Grandma is only 54. Not a good scenario ...but...lets pray.
Bev, it will quit, eventually. My mom is two faced also, it's kinda funny to watch, she'll be talking all this crap behind someone's back then suddenly they will show up and she turns around and immediately gets all happy and smiles and says they're her best friend. I don't get it, I told her one time when I was about 13 that if she doesn't like someone, so what, there are over 2 billion people on the planet.
I also have a two faced mother. People with issues like that, make me a better person.......I "WILL NOT" act like them!
Wow! A very young family indeed. Maybe they'll be able to pull out of it but they're going to have to grow up fast.
Congrats on the delivery of the new one! She is so precious! Sending prayers to the family!
Morning everyone!
LOL Maggie you got that right!! Both my parents have taught me what not to do.
Baby Kylie is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Please tell Mommy & Daddy "CONGRATULATIONS" from the folks at DG.

They are a young family, indeed! I'm 2 years older than the g-g-ma!! holy cow!!!
Mind you, my grandson is 14, so it's not far off from me, I suppose..........
What a beautiful baby, Kylie is. One thing to be said for a young family, once they're settled in that is, they won't be so old when the child is older that they can't join in on things like athletic stuff!!
LOL Crissy!!
Here is a pic of the 2 of us:)
Cute picture! Hmmmmmm....I think the dog might be a little jealous.
My maternal grandmother would have been about the save age Debbie but she passed on just months before I was born..I was almost 21 when I had my first! Today, most are either in their teens or nearing 40 and deciding they want a family..not sure which is better?
Plugging along, drats, hard to make when you don't know size nor what to heck you are making, went on internet for Enzio of the Assassins but I'm not that creative nor do I have weeks to make it..so far, are shields, boots and side cape and it's 1:07..think I'm getting behind..rather be here gabbing with you all.
Bet Debbie is cuddling that little one and won't share Kylie with anyone else..can see it now!
Susan didn't know you had a grandson much the age of my guys..where does he live and name please...
Crissy they must have taught you well because you are a well rounded person, did learn much on our week's trip together you know!
Back to the drawing board
Thanks Betty & Crissy ! I "get it" now...
Barb - I totally agree with you...that is entirely too long a distance for someone to not call and inform you... plus the mileage and gas you spent getting there...
I'm like you... I tend to hold it all inside... Still upset over last night... Betty... DH told DD there would be 'consequences' of course she has seen DH all day so far because he is at work... UGH ... so frustrating...of course there won't be consequences...both girls know that... I know that...
Deb - baby kylie is adorable !
Betty - I can't wait to see the costumes !
Gotta go move the sprinkler...
Ahhh, Mary, sprinkler, bet you are going to tell me it's in the 80's right...
That's were DH has gone wrong, unless they know there will be consequences they'll never follow family rules..when you give them a repremand and punishment even though it hurts you like h#$l, you have to stick to your guns..
Kids always ask how I can take the 4 grandchildren somewhere for days at a time and never have a problem..surprise/surprise it's because they know I mean business, they can have the most fun but misbehave and my car knows it's way back home as quickly and it went..I did this once now they know I'll do it.
Back to the sewing room, not doing the best..
You are right on the money Betty ! It's 82 right now... not sure what the high was today but I must admit it is beautiful outside...
This is the time of year you will need to plan to visit me one day...it would be a nice change for you... Of course we have had 70 degree Halloweens and 40 degree Halloweens....hard to predict this time of year...
Dh was just fussing at DD for something else completely and she just walks off... "right Dad"..... He yells "your consequences are increasing".... if it weren't so frustrating I would just have to laugh....
Yes - Betty - they have to know you will back up what you say... and at an early age... I was always tough on DS especially when he was young because I anticipated he would be bigger than me one day (and he is) and back then was a single mom....
Hugs,
Mary
Betty - his name is Darien, and he lives, with his mother and her husband and their daughter, in Winnipeg.
before you ask - no, I don't get to see him, nor do I get to communicate with him. Please don't ask......
(((HUGS))) Susan !
Thank you, Betty ^_^
Sending warm hugs Susan, no need to pry!
Mel/Greg and the boys just left, they'd been grocery shopping and truck was full of perishables, not sure why they thought they needed to be in a refrigerator becaue it's colder outside than inside a refrigerator..
Need to vent:
I used a few choice words today/tonight with this costume I'm working on, FRUSTRATING to say the least and normally nothing in crafts/sewing frustrates me, but this is, I still have the pants, the collar and the hoodie to do, just gave up, tomorrow is another day, I've been working on it all day and if I continue I'll screw it up.. next year if they want a costume they'll have to spend the day I'm working on it with me, shucks, no pattern, no right size, high technology did the photo of this assassin and if someone did make it, using similar it would cost at least $200-$300 for leather/silk, nope not for one night I won't..
Mary chin up, won't be long you'll have an empty nest and I'm sure you'll miss some of the 'to do'..Husband needs to take the reins for sure..think that little miss is headstrong and the boss...
What great weather you are having...wish I was there!! one day!!
I know what you mean, re: costumes. My best part was that I made them when the kids were still little and living at home, so I had them for models LOL I'd never choose to sew them "in abstention" cuz I WOULD be using some choice words LOL
Not only that, but you're right - once you start screwing up, you get caught in a "loop"!!!
I know, I am horrible...but can you believe, I never made it over to the hospital today!! tried like crazy but things just did not fall into place.
Shane is still not feeling well, and my ear was giving me trouble...got to thinking I was maybe getting a cold....and didn't want to chance it. It seems fine now, I think the rainy weather has a lot to do with it.
HOWEVER, this is my Shannon with baby Kylie.....
oh Debbie!!!! I can't believe what an adorable bright-eyed little sweetheart she is... makes you want to sink into those pretty, dark eyes of hers. She's going to be a heart-breaker, that one!!
She looks so alert!!!!
Congratulations to the happy parents ^_^
good morning to all/ coffee is on and I think someone is making muffins? Just dropping in we are still down in the basement getting rid of the mold that is growing from the water coming in. was told last night by DH that it is going to another 3 weeks before the basement is completed. Well I sould have done this 4 weeks ago but I am moving my sewing room to the dining room this am. I love to sew and it is driving me crazy not being able to do my thing. Ok I feel better now. Everyone have a beautiful day going to be 73 here and no rain. :)
Banana Blueberry Muffins today! Lemon Pie who like their dessert for breakfast like I do!
Oh Laura that must be a real weight off of your shoulders now that you can get going on the clean up!
Debbie - Miss Kylie is a darlin!
BBL Coffee than off to Kingston to shop.
Dianne
Morning, love lemon pie for breakfast, only problem is by supper it's entirely gone, can't blame anyone else because there is only me in the house..drats, I'll pass for now but coffee sure taste good! What brand?
Debbie isn't she just too precious..lovely lady..sorry you didn't make it to the hospital and most likely it was the right choice, wouldn't want to pass on any germs to either mom or Kylie. Hope today is a better day for you, sending a hug..
Guess Laura the most important part is getting rid of the mold as it will grow even with the tiniest of spots..you'll be back to normal by Christmas..hard dealing with things that just aren't in your control.
Waving to all
Prayers for those in need...
Be back on my next break..
You are up early as well Dianne, you won't be able to tell me it will be 73 in your neck of the woods, raining here and even with the furnace on I'm chilled, time for the fireplaces! You all winterized now Dianne? Can you store you boat at home or does it have to go to a marina?
Susan, how right you are, I'm just faking Caleb's costume now, seems to be going ok..if I finish it by 10a.m. I'll be able to start the last one; what a mess in my craft room..took out Miss Noseworthy - 5' witch for front door and while I had it standing sailor went by got caught up in it and now she's one foot and one leg short..guess I've got to find my drill and fix her/hang her before Halloween is over..so much work for 1 day..rather be taking Christmas things out..lol..
Have to put a call in to Greg and the boys and remind them I need them for 1 hr.
Off for another coffee, and hand sewing
Morning everyone! Betty, even if you can't get the boys for a fitting tell them you need a pair of thier clothes, at least you can get measurments from that!
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1136639/
New swap for Christmas stockings!
Morning LindaKay, ahhhh you just had to leave that breadcrumb and lead me to the stocking swap..lordy, half the swaps I sign up for are those you've led me to..
Raining hard, wish I could share with some of you who need it..
Taking 1/2 hr. break, Joel Olsteen's on..ooops got to run or I'll miss him!
Don't want anyone to feel left out!!!! ^_^
Heading there now, got elastic to put in waist/ankles and then think the Assassin is complete...then on to the next
Wow! How alert that little newborn is!!! Beautiful...
