Bless you all, but need to pop out again - Thursday is always my busy day, and I need to get ready for tomorrow's interview, too! Wish me luck, and send some prayers for me to get the job, please.......
Hello Everyone-
I know we haven't written in long time. Tubby reads the chat room most days. He hasn't felt very good
lately, so he hasn't read in this a few days. I'm writing this to let you know that he's hanging in there.
I'm not sure what is wrong. He won't eat cause he vomits right away or gags till he does. He has had
scopes and there is nothing there. I just hang in there and prayer.
I have pretty much quit work to stay home with him. I love to be home with him, I just wish that he felt
better. I just hope he gets to feeling better so he'll feel like doing this soon, or at least before the snow
flies.
We'll just keep reading and up date you whenn we get a chance. We wish you all the best and our
prayers go out to everyone who needs them and those that think they don't.
Take care and God Bless you all.
Tubby & Shirley
OMG how wonderful to come home open this thread and see your message Shirley..know it's difficult to find time to update when you've been so busy with 'Tubby'..now that I know he's reading our posts I'll make sure I add his joke of the day..God bless you for letting us know that he's just not himself right now, hoping he gains strength so he can keep us gals on the straight and narrow..sending prayers and hugs..know you are always in our thoughts.
Sending prayers for you both Tubby and Shirley! Thanks for giving us an update!!!
Shirley!!!! Thank you so much posting and for the update on Tubby!! Many prayers are going out to both of you!!!
(((Shirley & Tubby)))) Ohhhh it has just made me feel so much better hearing from you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you always.....
Hugs,
Debbie
Shirley & Tubby - here's one for you:
One year, I decided to buy my mother-in-law a cemetery plot as a Christmas gift...
The next year, I didn't buy her a gift.
When she asked me why, I replied,
"Well, you still haven't used the gift I bought you last year!"
And that's how the fight started.....
here's another....
My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school reunion, and she
kept staring at a drunken man swigging his drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.
I asked her, "Do you know him?"
"Yes", she sighed,
"He's my old boyfriend.... I understand he took to drinking right after we
split up those many years ago, and I hear he hasn't been sober since."
"My God!" I said, "Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"
And then the fight started...
Hello To All;
Bev... I Really am concerned about you... I wish you would call some help line / hot line around your area... that is what those are for....
Shirley / Tubby - SO GLAD to hear from you folks... Thank you !
Susan - ROFLOL! Great jokes ! :)
Debbie - Beautifully said... "Corn Fields"! I suppose we should trademark "Cornfields" as in a "Cornfield" moment.....
Having not been there... I don't want to be presumptous as to knowing it's meaning... however My best guess would be a time when you thought you might be a bit Lost... but then found your way....
So TWO new words from "Betty's Blog":
Bettergy: Meaning Exponential Energy to the "Betty"th degree.....
Cornfield Moment: A time when finding your way when lost.....
Betty - I forgot with all the posts to comment on your Craft Store Man Story...but I read every word.. and "EWWW" I totally am glad you 'passed' on that one... GOOD CALL ! ROFLOL!
Tonight was the Homecoming game... The first game DS18 and I went back as Homecoming Student and Band Mom Alumnae.......We both had a BLAST. DSD17 was on the homecoming court which was (of course) it's own dramatic story in and of it's own.....
It was nice to see the students who were glad to see me....and Parents... Band Director had the drumline play my Favorite cadence ... It's late and I'm exhausted so more later...
Hugs,
Mary
Thanks guys. I don't need any help. Those are empty threats. He couldn't pick up a gun and I have them barricaded in the spare room so he can't get to them. His mind just flips from being mad enough and right back to being reasonable. I had chest pains last nite and he just is not bothered by it. I figured out that he just craps his pants so I have to wash them out by hand. Punishment I guess. Second childhood or just plain crazy.!!!
Good Morning...
LOL, I am just Mole-ing around!
Jake had to be at school by 5:55 this morning with his Mole project.
OMG, turned into an all day affair, hahaha like what project doesn't.
Anyway he turned out pretty good. It's a giant Chef mole! No hat just an apron.
Anyhow, Wow...Hiya Tubby, so glad to see you and Shirley! Sorry to hear you aren't feeling so great. Keeping you in thoughts and prayers.
...I actually looked your phone # up, but the # listed isn't working any more, hahah, a good way to get some peace and quiet, eh!
I am glad to see you ARE with us reading, look forward to when you can peck in a H I...
Shirley, Thank you for coming in and letting us know how things are going. I am glad you are able to take time from work to be with Tubby!
Oh Bev, Please do take care of yourself...You dear lady are a Survivor!! I know you have some strong faith, because that, as you know what pulls you through, he won't let you down...Why it seems to take forever, we don't understand.
I am not going to keep this to myself since you have been Brave enough to let us know of the abuse.
...Maybe his lesson is that, because you are such a Strong survivor, you are the only one who can handle Scotty and his indifferent behaviors, due to his illness, meds?? Maybe...But You Dear friend need to set him straight for yourself. Sounds like he reverts to some child-like mannerisms. You've raised children, He wants to act like a child, sometime you have to treat him like a child! Put a diaper on him, If he throws a fit Walk away and tell him when he calms down, things can get talked about and taken care.
Just a little piece of advise. Bev, I too speak from experience, I am so glad you've finally spoke out. I kind of wondered about things.
I hope that you keep a journal of some sort. And Now i hope you will come and talk to us a little more... Let us help you through some of this "current craziness" Keeping you Dear Sister in a special part of my heart, and It DOES go away, hold your Dreams and Faith!
Sorry, memories, sort of took over there....
Mary, Yay, how nice, so glad you went to homecoming, Saw and visited with kids! LOL, How could they Not remember you???
Debbie, hope your day is a good one!
Thanks Housse, no Haven't mentioned about further planting...Right now just creting the space, and it is serving as a holding spot for winter...Then in Spring Will decide what to do, got all winter to dream, lol. Had all these years, but until it's actually here, mind has changed a million times! Anyways, I get lots of afternoon sun, morning beautiful light!
OH, Oh...Got go awake Breenie for School...Be back in a bit.
Here have a cup of coffee while I am gone!
Prayers always for Tubby and Shirley and all. Judy you hit the nail on the head but nothing works with Scotty. He is a water faucet. Thanks to all you dear friends, I can get on here and blow. LOVE BEV
absolutely, Bev - vent ALL you want!
Judy - cute mole!!!
Bev, I have to agree with Judy. I am taking care of my Dad that had multiple stroke 10 years ago, and there are time, he does can't hink straight, because of all the brain damage, and reverts to being like a kid. Well, I have to get very firm, and treat him like a kid, not my Dad. It does hurt to do this, but for my own sanity, I have to! And yes, he does get diapers sometimes, cause he just can't control things!
I'm getting ready for my interview today, so best get going......
Morning all, winter wonderland here in Barrie, snow is falling, the pine boughs are ladden with snow, post card pretty but lordy it's only the 22nd of November..
Knew Jeff (my youngest) was going to come to Barrie last night to work on some projects with Paul, no need to wonder if he got here because when I opened my screen this morning I've two elderly, non-clothed men sitting gazing at me..leave it to Jeff...hope he doesn't think I'll be out looking for where either of the live...yikes...brrrr....
Bev, my heart goes out to you, the girls have some great suggestions, difficult I'm sure to have strength when you are not feeling the best yourself..have courage and know you have us to lean on when you need us...
LindaKay, thank goodness you get some time off and share the caregiving of your dad to sibblings..all packages I posted Saturday have arrived except your dad's birdbook..hoping it arrives before he gets home!
Susan, rush back and let us know you will be starting work on "Monday" sending prayers...
Sorry Betty, no packages here yet, but we are pretty south, so hopefully today?
Please explain more about the elderly non clothed men in your yard??? And it is October, not November!
Morning everyone!
Oh, pictures of the snow please?
Sorry, LindaKay, didn't explain it properly, Jeff put it on my screensaver...lol..I just e-mailed him to ask if he was trying to set me up with a man??? replied that there was 2 men in the office last night and why was I blaming him..
Whew! I knew you could not leave two naked men, outside in your weather! Lordy! ^_^
Never underestimate Paul and Jeff..lol
Here's a caption on Barrie weather this morning
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/storm_watch_stories3&stormfile=snow_falls_in_southern_ontar_221010&ref=wxeyetopstoryv4&pbg=0_4
Oh my, that is beautiful to look at, but not early in the year I agree! Hope there were no accidents today!
Bev you can, we all come on here and blow LOL! I know I do!
Judy, Mole is so cute!!!! I just want to hug him!
The best of luck Susan!
LOL LOL LOL LOL Yes Jeff does have a since of humor! Look at all that snow!!!!
I'm with Crissy, that mole is just too adorable, my goodness you have grown in leaps and bounds with your sewing ability and creativity Judy..what did he get on his project A+???
Spoke with both boys, gave them their budget for main gift and both came back with what they want for Christmas. Greg want snowmobile trail pass and Jeff, a multi fuel stove for his kayaking..so now if I can find what the 4 boys want that's it, feet up and enjoy December.
Don't really want to go with Mom/Jim to Florida to close up their place, shaking my head here, but that being said it leaves me with 2 weeks of vacation..what to do, what to do..guess you are all thinking I'm a bit early with planning right? no go, I'm trained to be 1 season ahead of the game!
Did I tell you all that Suzanne asked Paul if she and I could have Nov. 5th off to go to Buffalo with the girls...he said not a problem, glad she caught him on a good day!
It's BABY DAY! Britts water broke this morning, and she is ON her way to the hospital! Think PINK. Kylie Rae is on her way!
Umm, Betty, keep the snow over there for 3 days...til we get Kylie and Britt back home..no baby driving in snow. lol
Oh, can't wait to hear the good "pink" news! Keep us posted!
YYAAAYYYY Debbie!!!!
LOL Betty, I used to work at a fast food restaurant and because we were open 7 days a week, 9am to 10pm, us friends couldn't ever do anything together. I asked for a Saturday off, someone else asked for the same Saturday, and so on to 6 employees later, the boss oked everyone then the day before that Saturday he realized that he didn't have anyone to work the registers all day, and since he had scheduled everyone off meant he couldn't call anyone back in. I guess it worked out, but he was NOT happy and it was all on him, he's the one responsible for making sure he had enough people scheduled.
hahaha, Betty what a way to wake up! An eye popper for sure!! LOL, your sons sure quite the jokesters.
ROFLOL, sure hope the 2 men in office were fully clothed!!!!
Thanks everyone about Chef Mole! LOL, sure hope I get good points on the extra credit, will be anxious to know what Jake decided to name him.
Susan...Best of luck on the Job interview today! Hahah, on the funnies this Morning, sure to bring a smile to Tubby.
OH Betty, what a beautiful scene to wake up to...Yikers, hope it melts fast, in agreement wayyy to early for snow!
Linda Kay, Wow and weee, You got a lot done on your quilt! and talk about having patience, a must to roll and sew q quilt that size...
well, i will think of that next time i am swearing at my little quilts for being so "big"...LOL.
Now you be careful on the Roads to pick up dad..Enjoy the visit on way home...Your going this weekend? I will be at Cottage, leaving today.
Ok, so I've started gathering my sewing stuffs to take to cottage, Hmmm, think I'll beg for 1 big thing for Christmas, a bigger and better sewing machine...This way i can leave this baby at the cottage, along with some sewing tools, nice to dream about such a day.
OH, LK...I remember your saying you iron on a small board with towel, And Got to say, i now do the very same with small fabrics and blocks! Thanks for turning on the light bulb for me, Works fantastic!
OH Yes..Now i remember
S t a c e y!! Awesome Picture of you and Baby Jonathan, Now there is the Smile of a Proud and Happy Mumma, just love it.
Awe and isn't he adorable with scarecrow, so sweet! Big hugs to you both.
OK, got to get rockin & rollin with the packing.
See you in a bit a I hope.
Woohoo, Debbie!!!
Will be anxious to see, Hope all goes well and healthy!!
Going to wear Pink today...
Alright, so glad Suzanne will get to join you afterall!!!
have to Hug Paul up!
So much for the snow not sticking!
Debbie, can't wait to hear how the birth'ing went..she's so young, must be frightened..now where will she go after the birth??? your house I'll bet or has her parents softened their attitude somewhat?
I'll keep the snow, 38 right now, keep putting on the micro heater..brr chilly..
Laura, here's a photo (quality terrible-taken on labtec on computer) of what I'm painting on the recipe book
Good morning all. I FINALLY got the fabrics sorted in the armoire downstairs. At least now I can see what I have (TOO MUCH) What shows in this picture is about half. Each shelf has two rows of fabrics (ex. behind the blues are the greens and behind the reds are the purples, etc) Plus all the blacks, whites, greys and creams/beiges are upstairs!!! A good job done....
What a great job on the mole Judy!! He is adorable. I have a hint for you regarding the ironing board. The harder the surface you iron on, the better the fabrics lay when you press. You get nice sharp folds that way when you press your seam to the side or when you press them open . They lay nice and flat. A soft surface doesn't allow for good creases in the material. A simple board is hard surface board with a layer of batting plus a layer of Insul-brite (the stuff you use for pot holders) and topped with a piece of cotton on top. The harder the surface the better. Just a thought for you.......

Think Crissy that's what Paul's concerned about,if he gives Friday off to both of us then the other offices may request same..Suzanne works so hard for him and my Jeff spent 7 hrs. last night putting in new programs he's designed that he couldn't say no to me either..we'll enjoy, means we'll be able to come home early on Sunday and still have all day to relax.
Crissy, omg, did the boss handle it all on his own? that will teach him for not checking out who was minding the store!!
Sewing crochet blocks together..and they call this 'work'..almost embarassed to take my paycheck on Thursdays..
Nice and organized Barb, how long will it take to get messed up??? lol
I'd say you've plenty to keep you sewing, love the blues..
Great info for Judy re pressing open the seams..good crisp seams make it easier to put together and match.. your Christmas block swap will soon be over, was a great success wasn't it...don't want to let you down, am working on my placemats...
when is your craft show sale??? anxious to hear how you make out
There's no way he can run two inside registers and a drive through by himself. I think one of the cooks knew how to run the registers so he did the inside and the boss ran the drive through. It was a fried chicken fast food restaurant, and no it wasn't KFC.
Wow Barb! How nice it must feel to get that out of your hair. I hate it when I let something get out of control like that, it's overwhelming to put it back together.
