Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!

Drats, wrote a long post, pressed send, message said I wasn't connected to computer, had lost signal I guess while transmitting..so, will gab when I get to work

Sorry-I haven't been trying to ignore you all, just been very busy!!!;) I see Mary is about to have a fit down in LA without her daily Jonathan fix!!LOL

Betty-he was weighed 2 days after he came home and was at 7lbs and 1.5oz, so he gained 2.5oz after coming home, and he will go again next Fri to get weighed and again a month later. Each Drs visit even if it is just to weigh is a $35 copay, so I can't afford to take him all the time....

I only skimmed some of what was said as I have just a few mins B4 Jonathan wakes up.....sorry-I am not trying to be rude by any means....

Things here are going OK. We are trying to get into a routine that works for Jonathan and for us. Chris left on Tues for his training. He will be in Minneapolis for 2 weeks, the Fargo for a week, the Indianapolis for a week. My mom will hopefully be able to stay until he comes back. I am thankful to have her here as there have been a couple times I didn't know what to do and if I had to get up for all the feedings, I would be a walking zombie!!LOL I do the 2am and 5am ones, she does the 8pm and 11pm ones. So I end up going to bed at like 8 and trying to get some sleep. It is kinda of funny-it seems that I end up with the 8am and 11am feedings and she ends up with the 2pm (sometimes I am napping) and the 5pm (I am usually making dinner)-I thought that was kinda funny. We are having issues getting Jonathan to sleep in his crib-it is too flat and too big apparently. I saw something online called the Fisher Price Rock and Play and if what we are trying right now doesn't work, that will be the next purchase. He likes a slight incline, so I put a blanket under the mattress st the top. He doesn't like how big the crib is, so I bought a pillow to put at his feet and rolled up 2 towels to put next to him. If we move them a little further away every night in a couple weeks he should be good to go...

The other day we were giving him a bath and Mom was standing towards the end of the tub when he all of a sudden started peeing-he got it on the counter and the floor until she put her hand up to deflect it away-we started laughing something fierce. We had to clean after the bath, but that was OK. Between that and his adult sounding farts (I am so serious on that) we laugh at him a lot!!LOL We have been doing some serious spring (well fall really) cleaning when he is sleeping. We are planning a trip to go see my Grandma here soon.

Mom C and I pitched in and got the CD from the pic place so we can make our own pics. It was $100 and when you consider all the pics she wanted and a package for us (the smallest one), with 2 additional pics, we would spend more than the CD. This way peeps can have pics and jus have to pay for the cost of the pic itself...so if anyone wants, it is $0.19 for a 4X6, $1.59 for a 5X7 and $2.99 for an 8X10 and then whatever mailing costs.....I know some liked them and wanted to get one until they found out how expensive they were. This way is much cheaper.

Yesterday Mom C stopped by to get her Jonathan fix and she brought my Bday present. It is a set of fairies on leaves that is a fountain that I told her I wanted a couple mos ago from Collections-soooo cute!!! Then she brought something for Jonathan. When I browsed through the hotel gift shop, I saw the cutest piggie bank. It was a yellow giraffe with different colored spots on it, sitting on it's legs and I fell in love with it. It was $20 and I couldn't rationalize spending that on a bank....I took a pic to show Chris and ended up showing both her and my mom. The box yesterday had that bank in it!!! I told her I almost liked it better than my own Bday present!!LOL

Stacey, Jonathan looks sooooooo cute and cuddly.Glad to hear you are able to have Mom C around to help out. I know I wished at times someone was there because you do walk around like a tombie until they get past those every 4 or 5 hour feedings. But when you look back it is all worth it.

Oh Stacey, he's growing so very quickly, just love the photo of him and Chris napping..omg already dressed for fall, halloween colors..trendy little fellow, just too adorable; nothing more peaceful than watching a child sleep. He's catching up with his weight isn't he, most likely very close to where he should be..

You both are getting spoilt with mom/grandma!!! You have to take a photo of the bank..

Laura, can't tempt you at all can I? I'm hoping that my next trip across the border 1st weekend in Nov. I'll be able to post mine

I'll soon be doing Christmas craft workshops so I have to be a little more organized...well I try but listen to this, every year I make costumes for the kiddies, Kyle feels he's too old now, Braedon, well he opted for something totally different, some spandex type costume, Noah & Caleb want grandma to make theirs then this morning my ex-daughter-in-law whom I have great rapor with e-mailed asking me to make her little one a costume, Max from WhereThe Wild Things Are, didn't have the heart to say NO..lol so I'll be rushing..

Debbie, we've a date, Sunday we'll meet up at CrackerBarrel between 9:00-9:30am..I shouldn't be late..but you, that's another story, likely you'll
be so tired after the concert that I'll find you sleeping in one of the rockers on the outside verandah just like Paul said.

Mary, now you take some time to enjoy this event tonight, I'm sure you have everything under control, all the i's are dotted and t's crossed..know you'll worry, we always do when we plan something but I'm sure you'll get an A + from your in-laws!

Meant to tell you yesterday that thanks to LindaKay who forwarded me Tubby's tel. # I was able to attempt to reach him to check on how he and Shirley are doing, recording came on saying service had been disconnected, so now I'm really worried, best we say a few more prayers!

Ahhhh, usually on Friday we get 1/2 hr. off for lunch, I e-mailed Paul and asked if I didn't take it could I leave at 2:30 so I can get into Toronto and out before the 4;30 traffic starts, said it would be ok..Suzanne will pick me up something when she goes to lunch.

Got all my swaps in the vehicle, omg, back seat 1/2 full...lol

Doesn't take long does it before all the pains of labor, the up at all hours of night goes by and it's all forgoten

Betty enjoy your trip. Be safe. would like to see a picture of Max when you are done. That should be fun to make.....

Thought with my leaving for the weekend and the thread get high in numbers that I'd move you over...
