On the left of the white Caladium? "Moses in the Cradle".

Sorry, mixed that up. The Typhonodorum lindleyanum is on the right. On the left is a Purple-flowered Banana. Don't know the variety name

Blackshear, GA

My first thought was banana, but the leaves look thicker. Has it bloomed for you, if it does please post pics.

OK, my turn, still working on getting things in, but here are a few things still blooming...

Joeswife, Lucky you, missing that freeze. We will be down in the 30's on Thursday and Friday nights. You just reminded me that I have a few banana plants and crinums in the front yard to get in tomorrow if there is a break in the rain. I am lucky that the lantanas usually come back.

Mjsponies, What a great picture! I love the butterflys as well.
Thanks for the offer of cuttings from your white sky vine but I could not get the blue sky vine or Rangoon Creeper vines to take root no matter what method I tried.
Glad to hear that you finally got a little rain, maybe your Cassias will start blooming now!

Tropicbreeze, I hope that you saved the pictures that you pruned to keep us going through the winter. They are all intersting.
Your Typhonodorum lindleyanum and your Amorphallus peoniifolius stole the show! thanks.

GAGirl1066, I hope that we do not have as severe a winter as last year. I loved everything posted, and am even a little jealous that you can grow and get a Medinilla to bloom for you. Your Thunbergia is so big and pretty.
It was a pleasure to view those plant on a rainy day.

Anyone interested is starting a new thread?

Rita, thank you and I agree with GAgril on wanting to come to your place and get a piece from alot of your plants. You always show something I put on my wish list too;-)

Tropic, thanks for another tour from your place but I have to say every time you post a picture of your Typhonodorum L. I drool.

GAgirl, you've been holding out on us once again on sharing some pictures from all your gorgeous plants. Wow is all can say! How often does your Medinilla bloom? I love the blooms on that plant.

mjs, I was hoping to be in St. A. next week but after I seen it was going to be a bit chilly for "beaching it", I am now planning on the week after. I can't wait until my Lady M. gets as many blooms at one time as yours.

Rachel,
I actually have 5 Medinilla, two magnifica, they are usually the first to bloom, June-July and then I have this one, it usually blooms around August

and then there is this one, It bloomed for 6 months and now one is barely hanging on, and the other is struggling also.

Here is a better picture of the magnifica

Thumbnail by GAgirl1066

Thanks GAgirl. M. magnifica is the one that I admire the most and I read that Rita admires you for getting them to grow/bloom as well. You must be doing something right for them to thrive for you. Great growing!

I think you should be the one to start a new thread. You are showing some beautiful tropical plant pictures Paula;-)

DeLand/Deleon Spring, FL(Zone 8b)

Rita, I you want one I'll get it rooted then send.......
70% chance of Rain tomorrow, I'm gonna go dance it it if it does !
Rachel, ok keep me posted, I'm trying to put some stuff together for you.
Iochroma finally bloomed too, but so far this is the only cluster, Debra's miracle Tomato Fertilizer ! loll
Anyone know which one this is, I got it at a yard sale it was only about 6 in. tall, it's about 4 feet now. It's gonna get Tomato Fertilizer every few weeks ! Do they go dormant like brugs ?

Thumbnail by mjsponies
(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

That is Iochroma looks like "purple queen", and if you keep it in light and feed it , it will bloom all winter like mine does. Wow, Paula, those are gorgeous pictures. I have never seen a
Medinilla before, but then, I have never seen a Heliconia rostrata before daves garden , either. I havn't seen about 90 percent of what I have seen on this thread. LOL
tropic, I love love that caladium with the spots. it is way cool. oh, and the brug curling like that looks like my flamenco , it does that too, it will drop down at night if you go out and look at it, I bet. That one will turn a really dark almost reddish pink if I am correct in what it looks to be. And the Iochroma will go dormant like a brug if you don't want to watch it during winter. And it is a tropical. No freezing! Geesh , I am in the wrong thread, as it is going to be so cold here in another week or two.. I will be drooling and whining over you alls pictures. Paula, such loverly plants!
Rita, why does it get so cold where you are at? I thought it never got cold there.. LOL

Not full yet in this area, as you can see..

Blackshear, GA

Thanks Torpic, that is pretty and unusual.

oh Debra, LOL, I think we may be sisters...you keep cramming those plants in there, you definately have lots more room. Want me to help fill the spaces, LOL?

I think I posted this before....my back deck
