Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Congrats to all our winners! Celeste, I tasted your banana bread (yum) so I can just imagine how yum yum yummy your cake is. The first place cake is beautiful, but my teeth hurt just looking at it. Wonderful job by all, but did anyone notice the craft entries. That bobcat painting is gorgeous along with the raku pot....same artist.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Yum oh Pix! Congrats to you, and to Louise for the gorgeous pic of her patio!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Congrats to all! I'd like to sample the dessert entries next time.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

well Victor that would mean you would have to go to a RU... can we get you out on good behavior???

;)

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

All the desserts looked really yummy, but Pixies pound cake with the fruit would be the first one I would try. I just love fresh fruit.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee!

Looks like they could have done a better job at running it. Hope that they learn. Thought it was weird having voting on Facebook.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Yes, I was really surprised at the low turnout for entries and voting. I guess there was a mix up on the time and date, too.

Are they going to have the regular photo contest, does anyone know?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i never even clicked on the link - did not get my attention - glad some ne'rs won!

We need a wall contest! Will anyone dare challenge Bill?? ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hope they cut down the number of categories. I thought there were too many last year.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks Watercan2.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

had no idea what country fair was and no time to check it out.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

I have a stone pile. I'll take Bill on----NOT!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

loser pays in sibs :)

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

K. That would be me.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I can't compete Victor

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I can't compete either, I took an oath to avoid strenuous work.

Thomaston, CT

My walls are not in Bill's category....son was learning as he went along.....

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Well, I'm not competing either. I'm giving in before we even compare pictures.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh, Celeste....how drooly is that cake?!! And pretty too! I hope it finds its way to an RU or 4 next summer! Congrats....and to Pirl too! I thought it would be fun to submit the place where we had our RU so you guys would feel at home! I don't think I've ever won any contest since I won the cake walk at the Orangewood Elementary School Fair when I was six! Feels so cool even if I did win because no one knew about the contest! LOL Anyway.......thanks for the congrats, you guys! :)

Thomaston, CT

Terrific, Louise! We are all proud of you!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That's sweet, Marilyn. Thanks!

I admit - I voted :-)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Ok did a small experiment today with 2 stinkbugs and 2 covered cups...one with cinnamon...didn't even phase him/her but the peppermint extract almost killed him/her instantly...now to test if I can just spray around the doors/window and they will stay away or some peppermint sprigs or peppermint extract on cottonballs...???? I'll let ya know

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

good job Jen... keep us posted... :::knocking on wood::: they haven't been overwhelming here... but good info if they do

I am soooo excited... Kassia is coming today!!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Well Bill, in my travels a few weeks ago I saw a house with a wall and thought they could use some help and I thought of you. Excuse the crappy pictures, these are "drive-by' shots.

That stone wall is ok, just not at the "wha" level of 1st magnitude.
