Thanks everyone for the condolences. We are not sure what happened to Sophie, she acted like she had a stiff neck the night before and Brian was going to take her to the vet in the morning. She never made it to the vets, she passed away while we were getting dressed to take her. Brian is heartbroken and feeling lost right now....that was his baby. Sophie stole that mans heart like nothing i've ever seen in 25 years of being together. He said he never wants another rabbit as long as he lives....with the exception of Patches of course!
We'd like to take this time to thank everyone who shared in our joy when we found her, and for all the encouragement you gave us while we were raising her. She brought us much joy and laughter in the 3 short years we had her, we will never forget her.

Many thoughts and prayers for comfort for you and Brian, Celeste. Just Heartbreaking.
Hugs to you and Brian.
Debi, is your dog a large one, medium or small? I would think the large and medium ones would have to eat a lot of crab apples to get sick on them. Small dogs would not have to eat many before getting sick.
Many years ago I had an English Shepherd, and I would give him chocolate covered raisins, not knowing at the time that they were bad for dogs. He never did get sick, but he was at least 50 or 60 lbs., and he never ate many, so that was probably why. Just like a black widow spider bite would not kill a full grown human, but a baby would probably be at risk.
Marilyn, that's really sad that those really large breeds live such short lives.
Oh, I am so sorry to hear about Sophie! Poor girl! Celeste and Brian, my thoughts and prayers are with you and my heart goes out to you. Three years is too short a time for a beloved pet. Be well, you two.
Karen
Sophie would never have had 3 years of loving if she hadn't been rescued by you, Pixie & Brian....she had a wonderful life......
Karen my dog is medium size, 55 lbs. She had some more this morning. She's been eating them for a couple years, our streets are lined with crab apples
Debi, then as long as she only eats a few here and there, I'm sure she will be fine.
Marilyn, you're right, Sophie had a wonderful life.
Karen
Oh no - so, so sorry to hear about Sophie, Celeste. Condolences to the both of you.
Thanks Victor, it's amazing what a big void there is now from such a little bunny. Poor Brian is lost, I said from the begining that he was totally smitten. :(
How awful.
:(
Hugs for you and Brian, Celeste!!!
Allison - have you heard from Kassia as to how she and Diamond are bonding?
oh yes.. she is loving her.... said she followed her into the shower... and stayed in there the whole time with her... under the water and all.. and didn't like the dryer afterwords ... LOL.. but she is loving her cuddles and play time... I am sure that dog is going to go with her everywhere.. she even bought a matching purse & carry bag.. gotta love it
I was giving Diamond a bath on Friday.. and picked her up to squoosh the water out from her feet.. and she looked like she was doing a doggie paddle... swimming mid air.. I couldn't stop laughing... going to miss that little girl.... but told Kassia she will have to tape her doing it and put it up on youtube
So was Diamond one of your pups, Allison?
Karen
How cute, Allison! I think all dogs do that paddling thing as an instinct. If I would hold my wire-haired fox terrier over a bucket of water, he would dog paddle. LOL
So happy to hear Diamond & Kassia are doing well, I had no doubt she would be a good Mama to that dog!
very nice!
Really, Allison? I wonder if it's just certain breeds! Molly would do it when we gave her a bath, before we set her down in the water. Interesting! Love those shots of Kassia with the pups! They are all so cute!!
well Riley loves water... the rest can do without it... Lily used to go in a kiddie pool with her mom Tily.. after Tily left us she didn't go in there again... I nicknamed Jily my little cheerleader because she hates to get her hair wet
:)
I stuck her in the pool with Lily & Tily... she cursed me out sooooo badly with just a look
Awww! Great pic of Kassia and Diamond.
My Patches hates bathes, but she won't fight me on it, maybe just a tad. She just tolerates it, cause I won't let her have her way. She doesn't get bathed too often. She gets so excited afterwards and runs around like crazy, rubbing herself on the ground and shaking and rolling. So funny!
Karen
Lily is the same way... all I have to do is line up towels on the bathroom floor... and she just keeps flipping out rubbing herself dry... Jily on the other hand will curse at me .... saying.. how could you?????
LOL!
It's always amazing that there can be such different personalities in the same litter.
Human twins & other multiples can be different. Why not pups.
A very amusing photo, and very interesting dog psychology....great companions, nonetheless.
