At this point, I only go for larger ones.

Victor, I got a nice email from Dave at Deer Resistant today about my review for him in the Garden Watch Dog today. I wish I had ordered more hellebores from him, but I will wait for spring to get an early order in to him for a bunch of things that he can ship as soon as safe in March. What else have you really liked from him?

I have been reading the offerings on the Buck Run Nursery site too for next spring that Wha seems happy about as another small nursery site to use. Those are my favorite type of places to buy plants from aside from my local nurseries here on Nantucket/Cape and a few in Vt and western Ma and a couple in NH. I can't believe that I am already dying to get my hands on 2011 plant offerings. Patti

That's nice, Patti. I will probably get more in the spring too - after I fill out the rest of this bed with hydrangea, some conifers and a possible viburnum or two.

buck run does have a really nice list of offerings.

patti i will not be ordering any over on cubits - if i want one that size i will order from diana at topiary - she also has larger ones too - i got a 7 gallon one last year - did not know she had those until we were talking one day. her shipping cost was low too.

$9.55 shipping, no matter how many plants. I think it's charged when shipped.

Wha, After rereading the post last night, it makes no sense for me to order from that coop either. The host doesn't list where she lives or where she is getting these plants from or when, as far as I could find, nor can I tell if she knows much about Japanese Maples. I would rather deal with the knowing as well as the prime source even if I pay more. I don't think in the case of 25.00 trees that II want to order from a middle person who is just reshipping Perhaps the grower is near her, and she is picking them up. Too much verbiage and too little information. I liked seeing your photos. I checked out her DG site and saw that she was in Ohio and into chickens, but nothing much about plants. I do like chickens. So I will pass unless I hear something else that entices me. Patti
