Nice list D-Nut! All those poppies are very tempting. I received the same email and so far have been singing the lalala song with Jen. You do not make it easy to resist however, very pretty pics but no more orders for me this year. My honeysuckle has arrived and I hope to plant tomorrow or Sunday depending on the soggification of the soil.
Great choices, Dnut 7 Allison...I've never grown stock, Allison....let me know how it turns out....
Just saw onewish's list of goodies. Very nice selections there too, still humming lalala. Going to be some pretty flowers in your gardens next year.
ooooooo you got the columbine 'Pink Petticoat'. Let us know if it's as outstanding as it looks in the pic please.
LOL This thread should be called 'What have you ordered and sung about' ^_^ I always grow the evening scented stocks (Matthiola bicornis) for it's delightful stinkyness. It wafts you. I tried 10 week stocks this year. They did bloom in 10 weeks but I didn't find their fragrance anything to sing about ...lalalalala. I too wanna know how those varieties do onewish please and thanks.
I bought some stock plants this past spring... loved them!!!... just have to try seeds though... they smelled great and bloomed a long time with deadheading ... I tried to WS some seeds last year... no go... did not mature in time... so I am going to try again inside this year
I was pointing the finger and laughing at Allison and the stock....but then I realize it's all my fault. LOL
yes it is!!!!.. and I thank you
Welcome ^_^ never tried the seeds, just buy a couple of six-packs of them every May...I love them!! let me know how the seeds come out.....maybe i'll try it.
I only found them at agway and there were not many of them... no other nurseries had them.. figured it was worth a shot
I just ordered from Raintree and Hartmann's - Lingonberries, elderberries, high bush cranberry and a gooseberry. Ohhh I probably need more gooseberries . . .
Memory, they sound wonderful......love gooseberries!
I love them, too. They make my favorite jam.
memory i am giving away my black lace elderberries..........although you probably ordered the kind elton sung about.......
I am tearing out my black lace elderberries as well - they never produced. I bought pollinators for the variegated elderberry I planted 3 years ago that still hasn't bloomed (grrrr). I don't know the elton reference?
Omg I'm so mad! I just clicked on the link and saw it already ended... I had a long list of wants from them that I would have loved to get 40% off of! :(
If there's anything you want from my list Meredith let me know. There's usually lots of seeds and I'll mail you the extra. Dmail me.
so sorry Meredith... I can share as well
You guys are so sweet! Thanks! : ) Sorry I took so long to reply, I've had a lot of stress around here lately, been keeping me busy....

Nice, Bill.
thx! i wanted this one last year and it was out of stock so i'm pretty happy here!
Did you ever put lights or candles in them??
not yet although i am on the hunt again - found some solar lights that might do the job at HD - my hd did not have them in stock
Love the lantern, hate the name! However, you'll have to take a photo of it with snow on top!
yeah - will have to learn what that means in japanese - sounds like a rooster in the morning :)
Not any worse than the JM names!
Bill...it means "Snow Lantern"....that's why I hate the name!
yukimi means snow lantern the rokaku is the type :) and yup sounds like a jm name like say shirazz :)
Nice one Bill. You guys will have to post pics when they are in place. Glad you all finally found what you wanted and on sale, good job that.
Yes, the sale part is good!
had to hold off soj 9 months waiting on that sale :)
Just received Brent and Becky's order today.
And where's yours? ^_^
Are Brent and Becky neighbors? Will they realize in the spring where their order went?
sigh
