What are you working on??

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We've had threads on garden projects, but many things don't really rise to the level of 'project', so I thought I'd start this one. Share anything garden-related you're working on. Large or small. Inside or out.

I just finished trimming plants that were overhanging the driveway. Crapes, smoke bush and the weeping beech. Cut some nice crape blooms and brought them inside.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

All-over????!!!! ^_^

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Ha ha! No...But I have a light blue dress to wear and did not want to look like a ghost in it.....I may have gone a little overboard. ^_^

Ok, I have to tell you what Brian said..but please don't anyone be offended...he was just picking on me.
I think i've mentioned that i've lost some weight, well it's kinda noticable, 15lbs. So my brother and hubby call me stick women, say if they didn't know better they would think im anorexic. The worst one is when hubby says I look like one of those starving ethiopians and they might as well take me out and get me tanned so I don't stand out anymore than I already do. Aren't they nice??

My gardens are a mess because i'm working on wedding favors, decorations and a bachellorette party Sat. night. I am in charge of making chocolates for this party....lets just say these molds are adult rated and something very new for me. :)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

So is mine. Will do lots in Sep when the kids are in school and the weather is cooler.

Thomaston, CT

Started to weed my largest per. garden....weeded for an hour, it's pretty overwhelming, so I didn't get a whole lot done...also a lot of deadheading, cutting heuchera stalks, hosta stalks, DL stalks...you get the picture! And Pixie, what's your secret? If I could lose 15 pounds, I'd be delighted.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee - I missed the part about the chocolate molds. Celeste!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Robin, I really didn't try to loose this weight..maybe I can gain some back sampling those chocolates. LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Don't get caught on camera!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hee hee....i'm a closet chocolate eater, won't be a problem!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thomaston, CT

I lost weight before my son's wedding...had the shingles, landed in the ER 3 times....then when I broke my hip, I gained 20 pounds.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ugh. Can't win sometimes.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

it was the death of 2 dogs and my son moving out all in a 6 week span, thats what started it. Then I had a mis-understanding with a friend, or someone I thought was and then wedding plans and the cost of it did me in! (Actually it may have been 2 weddings in 11 1/2 months)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's more than enough!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

So now im a bean pole with no a** or b**bs. LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Borrow some from DC. Plenty there.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hee hee! Good one!!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

LOL, ya Celeste you couldn't afford to lose any weight

I was working on doing some weeding and deadheading and have some iris, daylilies and lilies to plant.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I was hoping these nice temps would stick around, but it looks like at least one more hot spell.

Have to work on my FW and bulb orders.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It's going to be very hot here too.....can't believe im going to be designated driver to a bunch of wild women.....the heats not gonna help!
I just keep telling my self im a good Momma. ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'll trade places.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL! I bet you would!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'd be on my best behavior - really. ^_^

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Victor, i'll have to get a picture of my DD's friend Andrea when she comes to the wedding. This girl is smart, (2 different degree's and is now half way thru RN school), Beautiful but in a very unassumming way, lets just say she'd make a great Disney princess Jasmine. ^_^ Also, she's as sweet and good as they come.....I can't wait to see her. She's been traveling and going to school for the last 8 years and i've only seen her once! Forgot to say ...she's 28 and single. LOL

South Hamilton, MA

weeding as much as my shoulder would let me. Celeste, I'll give you 15 lbs any day.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

with the ru in just a few weeks not really much to do here at all - right. have weeded everything and will do another pass this weekend - at least there is really not much to do although the rain has them in hyper growth right now - have some trees and bushes to plant - expanded expanded a bed last weekend and moved O. poppies away from the katsura jm. do have a major weeding to do in my neglected raised bed behind the veggy garden - its really a grow area and i can not see much growing through the weeds.

Thomaston, CT

I can just about find my beets in the veggie garden! Would love to get in there soon. Today I'm taking a friend to lunch, then Sears is delivering my dishwasher....between 2-6, so I'm hanging out all day in the per. garden...maybe it will get weeded.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Cutting back some used to be crispy brown stems and leaves that are now brown mushy things due to four days of rain. Weeding as I go, the rain only made them grow faster. Also started to make lists of what will get ordered, moved or removed either this fall or next spring depending on the temps and the ambition of the gardener. Have already edited out a few things. Took out some self seeded thyme that had huge roots that went half way to china. Did not expect that at all. Tried to tie up some JPW that has rocketed up. Hope to get at the side slope garden when the weather cools a bit. Wanting to order way more bulbs than I would ever be able to plant.
