Garden Photos #30

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

very nice shot!!!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Lovely pics all. I have only seen one monarch here. Don't ever recall seeing a hummingbird moth just sitting and resting, nice shot. Probably too hot even for them. Very cool grey butterfly too. The sedum are coloring here too, second wave of clems but not too much else but roses. New green growth on a lot of things though thanks to the heavy rain last week. If I get a chance later I will get a few pics to post.

Thomaston, CT

Yes, my roses are putting forth again, too, Pat.....but it's the annuals that are keeping things bright. Here are several plants that are in the garden patch where I just scattered seed....cockscomb....

Very nice Robin. I do love that blue and orange combo.
Here are some pics from today.
The agastache 'Black Adder' is starting to get a little tired but still has color enough to attract the bees and hummers. A definite fav. in my garden.

caryopteris 'Sunshine Blue' is just getting started however.

This helenium 'Mardi Gras' has been going strong for weeks now. The heavy rain knocked down some stems but they have not missed a beat.

Sedums are starting to get some color too.

ngam I'm sure your shrubby thing is just a tad stressed (crossing fingers and toes). RD ooo luv the nastie and forget-me-nots. Is that a second bunch of Myosotis or anchusa? http://www.thompsonmorgan.ca/product/Anchusa-leptophylla-seeds-Blue-Shower/Perennial_Seeds ?

The anchusa is blooming like a bandit in my garden now and it self sows too ^_^ I have it in full sun but I'm going to move some into part shade next year.

Thomaston, CT

It's so short Dnut that I think it's forget-me-not...only about 6" high...the anchusa is much taller. But who knows in this crazy year! Pat, does Black Cherry have a scent? Very pretty rose.
