Lots of pretties still. Love seeing the butterfly pics. There has been a lot less around here, specially later in the season. Maybe the heat got to them. Pretty shade of pink on that rose and the frilly begonias are really nice. Love those orange ones too, glad they recovered so well for you burn'07. Nice to see a reblooming iris actually reblooming early enough to enjoy the bloom. You will have to post a pic when they open. Ligularias are nice sunny color at the end of summer.
Garden Photos #30
Hi Burn, yes, that rose will bloom into the beginning of Nov.....Pixie, I think you have one like it....looks like a tea rose, but is hardy to zone 4. I've had it at least 20 years......
Pink Knock-out?
I love Morning Glories.....no, Pix, this is an old shrub rose, but is tall & skinny like a tea.
Celeste.. the iris is a noid.. the colors always made me think low ho sliver... but the height makes me think it's immortality... the year before we split it up it rebloomed... now it took another 2 since...
the begonia is one of these.. couldn't see the tag where the basket is... sorry

Allison,if been reading some iris's... it's not 'Low Ho Silver ' because that is a Intermediate Bearded Iris and only gets to be around 18-24". Shoot! Both ARE rebloomers....

I'd love to have an iris blooming about now!
Pretty morning glories and nice to have that iris blooming again.Very pretty all.
I love the white ones when they are fresh.
How does this one age? Turn rust on the petals?
No it is a peppermint some of them where more red I love them
Pretty!
Gorgeous peppermint photo
These are all nice striped blooms. I think I specially like the MG. The zinnias are quite cute as well. Pretty pics of all of them too.

Sweet puppy pix
oops I changed the album name.. didn't realize the link wouldn't work then
thanks JoAnn.. they are too much fun... Michele & I took her 2 dogs.. and 4 of the pups to the park for a long long walk yesterday... was too funny
That does it for me.
I am definatly getting a BES plant for next year. What a sight.
Must be the extra hot weather this summer held everything back. My Nastuers are just looking nice,
Great gardens Allison.
being not a big vine person.. I really like them JoAnn... I see they are going all over the place though.. mind of there own.. the ones in the hanging pots are still not flowering though.. the vines did crawl up the post & across the hanging arms like I hoped.. but no blooms yet
my nasties in the container are not so great... going in the ground next year
those strawflowers fill in that spot so nicely self seeded.. I can't even take credit for them... but thank you
My potted nasties are a disapointment too. I still believe the potted soil gets too hot for them.Same nasties in the garden are doing great. I pulled all the vineing ones from pots, they just looked pathetic. Leaves yellowing and falling off, flowers wee sparse and small.
The same vine in the garden is lush and beautiful.I'll pic in a few minutes.
Love the bird cam. Quite a nice mix of visitors at the water fountain. I also have enjoyed my agastache this year. Yours are looking good and JoAnn's pics of them too. Both of you and other DG people have inspired me to add a few more next spring, the hummers will be happy too.
I like the threadleafed ones best.
Quite a difference between the 2 sets of nasturtiums!
Didn't have any success with my zinnia, this year. you all have some wonderful ones. My sister gave 2 seedling of this type of Morning glory, I've never seen this one before.
edited to add the name:
Hige - Akahigezaki
'Red Feathered'
Japanese Morning Glory
Ipomoea purpurea
