Wow very unusual MG indeed. Never seen a double one like that, neat.

Thomaston, CT

Loved both the flowering vines...have never tried Cardinal vine....

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I think i've missed way to much to comment on them all but the peppermint zinnia and the MG really caught my eye!

East Bridgewater, MA

Morning glory--red hige?

(Beckygardener on the "Morning Glory" forum can ID if for you.)

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Thanks BostonArea, I head on over there for an ID. That morning glories grows really tall, it down below my deck and has made it to the top of my Gazebo. I'd say about 20 feet.
Robindog, next time I grow this Cardinal vine, I'll probably plant it in the ground, around my peonies, They really grab on to whatever is near it, and it's going to bring color to that area.

The coleus is a "keeper."

Cuttings are a good idea.

The seasons are changing in the gardens for sure! Where's JoAnn? She's usually posting early.....

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I guess I missed this thread today. Nothing much changing here.
Coleus are wilted in the heat and no rain.

Thomaston, CT

Hey, Jo....glad you are with us.....not too much blooming here either.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

was thinking the same thing yesterday here - i was able to get a few pictures and will post them tomorrow night - nothing to hold your breath over.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I am sure everyone has seen the best of my garden anyway.
I need rain and a weed migration out of here. Its really tired by now.

I didn't know that you were growing cats.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Ha! Thats DD's cat.She is a super hunter and has cleaned out the rabbits that were here in 2007.
Sorry bunny fans There just isnt room for me and the bunnies. No if she would only take on the woodchuck that appeared this summer and ate the beans - hmmmmm.

Thomaston, CT

The coleus still looks nice.....good hunting for the kitty....
