mirabilis Limelight WOW WOW WOW
So nice to see some color, my gradens are just looking pitiful.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

This is the September pix of my containers. Next week predicts nights in the 50's.These might be tha last before serious cool temps ruine the coleus. They already have the dwindles.

nice blooms there dnut!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Beautymous blooms Dnut! Love it all. You still have so many pretties, here as at JoAnn's, things are winding down and that color on the rhodie is a little early but not much. Love the dahlias, phlox and those double balloons. I think I need some of those.
JoAnn your pots are looking very nice still but I know what you mean. The four days of clouds and cool nights last week and the very hot temps this week are starting to take a toll here as well. The shorter daylight also is beginning to have an impact as well I think.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I am already planning my winter reading.Lets see if that happens.

Two great garden tours, from the comfort of a chair!

D'Nut, lovely blooms; ge, I'm envious of your wonderful coleus collection.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

The collection is a mixed blessing due to last years lust and greed for cuttings.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Looks great JoAnn, so are you going to be taking cuttings this week???

I have some bulb foliage popping up in my blue/yellow/white garden....isn't that weird???? Maybe snowdrops??? what could it be? I have daffs, crocus, tulips, reticulated iris, muscari and snowdrops there.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

My guess is muscarii sometimes called Grape Hyiasenths. Mine are comming up too.
I too 10 cuttings a week ago. Last year I took 30 cuttings and ended up with 200 plants. Lesson learned, that many cuttings need a green house which I dont have, nor room in my basement for light and stands.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Why the heck are they coming up now???

I know what you mean about the cuttings, my hubby is going to shoot me.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Only the leaves emerge, the blooms come in spring. Mine are a huge clump and stay that way all winter, under snow and all.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Ooooo, ok. Learn something new everyday.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Mine are just starting. Here are a few.

I have another that popped up in a bigger cluster... bad news is a tomato started (from critters).. right over it... not a very pretty photo.. LOL

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

All so nice!!!
Dnuts, love that mirabilis Limelight, very pretty plant. Is it a perennial?
Robindog, that rose would have made a nice entry. Will it put out more clusters before the cold weather hits hard?
Nice color on the begonia Onewish. I like the 2 tone one, a lot.
Your butterflies are beautiful ,Flowerjen.

This Orange Begonia, had a rough start. It got drop to the ground and had a few stems broken off. I'm very pleased that it recuperated well.

love the orange begonia!!!

East Bridgewater, MA

The orange begonia has a delightful variety of shades, because the blooms come open at different times, pleasing to the eye!

"Ligularia" is new to me, I'll definately have to check it out.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I love my Desdemona ligu. Its 4 feet in diameter and at least that high.

Now that I actually have a minute I am trying to catch up on threads.....

Pat, caryopteris 'Sunshine Blue' is beautiful, I planted it one year and it didn't make it...I need to try again after seeing your picture.
Helenium 'Mardi Gras' is one that I need to get, every time I see it , it reminds me of BigCityAl.

D-Nut your Clems, the cosmo and mirabilis Limelight is just lovely! Oh and that dahlia 'Florific Yvonne' is drool worthy. ^_^

Jen I really like the bright red of 'Rebecca' and thats a great shot of the swallowtail!!

Robin, sorry your rose is not going to make it to the fair but it's beautiful none the less :)

Allison, is the iris 'Immortality'? Mine has only rebloomed 2X in 7 years! Your begoina looks like a Tahitian Sunset!!

Burn, my begoina had a rough start too, them it took off like no tomorrow...now it seems to be petering out again. I suspect it's the lack of care i've been giving it :(
