Here is another one.. I totally could not get the striking colour of this on camera it was just too dark. The flash whitened it out.
Morning Glory adventures in Kansas Continued
I keep missing my fuschia hige from last year.. it is a bud in the am, and a melted bloom in the evening when I get home.. dang it.. whoa.. kinda blurry.. don't open the pic .. LOL The white Hige from MG swap is still bloomng, I keep forgetting about it, it is with GS and I. lindehemeri behind my chair n the patio .
Closing this tonight with this white.. in the heart of the tomatoe vine. George Strait bloomed for me, but when I climbed up on a chair and snapped a pic of it, it came out blurry. Maybe next year I can plant it on the fence.. He can make the pinks and reds all swoon. That is a sight I want to see. Hope I get a seed pod, I think I planted all the GS seeds I had to get a vine out of them. Oh and remember the light gray bloom I posted earlier? the one that looked so pretty in the south bean patch garden? It was open again this am too, but I forgot to get a picture. All the sun smiles were blooming, I am still waiting on kikyos, blue jishis, the red noah, the yellows ( three kinds) and the setosa has a bud on it. I am also waiting on the beach moon vine on the patio to bloom, and the Alata out front, ( from Becky) as well as the meremia tuberosa seedling I grew over winter. It is rambling everywhere. Apricot Candy is finally budded, cypress vines are blooming, still waiting on two more varieties of lobatas to bloom. and.. will the stictocardia and the i. indica ever bloom for me? I am about to cut them away and make them go to sleep for the winter, only early. LOL
Keiryu and Henka are starting to bud. Pres Bush never did make it. There are alot more, but I can't remember them all.
OH! Nicole, your blue akatsu you sent in the MG swap has bloomed more than once, but I keep missing the photo shots. I love it.
Wow Debra, beautiful blooms. So glad you are sharing them with us.
Debra what few i have this year are doing well and are on their second blooming.
I havent posted any more except for the ones i brought in the house today.
They have buds on them and i hope they bloom soon.

What a great idea this Morning Glory breakfast party.
Me,I accept all the seeds they give me! LOL
So awesome Deb. The first thing I do every morning is go look to see if any are blooming. I had two more blooms this morning. They have wrapped themselves up the armillary now and hopefully they have enough summer left here to bloom higher up.
Every afternoon I;m out studying the moonflower vine too to see what there is. These poor plants have been stared at and prodded at so much it's a wonder they don' bite. :))
Love all your blooms Debra, so glad you got those huge crossed blooms!! I would have grown them sooner if I knew they were going to cross!! I love mysteries and good surprises!!
Hey Debra have a seed collection question for you. Do I have to cover the pods on the moonvine to collect the seeds? They are getting bigger and I figure they are "poppers". Just after a sanity check here.
Debra - Beautiful!
Is this one http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8075563 the same as the first photo in this thread?
Evening everyone.. The bloom you asked about Becky is a different vine, and is tagged as a NOID from Helen. Some of the blooms on that vine are more purple than others. It is producing lots more seed pods than the other vine at the top of the thread.
As far as the moon vine seeds, I leave them on until they are brown, the I cut them off at the base of the bloom stem
( where the pods are) and bring them into the house and they go on top of the corner curio until I am ready to clean, bag, and tag them. They stay on alot more stronger than the I. Purps and the I. Nils do. On the Jishis you are growing from me, I would use a tiny organza bad over any seed pods on it. they will still grow and when they pop open they will say inside the bag. You can find those organza bags at wally world in the wedding supply section.
I have open boxes, from shoes, long envelope boxes from work, and any nice looking box and also white paper lunch bags full of dried flower seeds heads and all. They are easy to mark.
Helen you are getting first pods on your crosses I am growing. I have tags made up for everyones seeds that I have planted to send back to them at least one pod . Well, maybe not all the SOHS I have around, none of them look too different from the other from everyone. I am curious to see what other people have grown from my seeds I sent. I am glad Neener has grown some. Thank you. Becky , is that your Kikyo Ice I asked about above?
Miko No Mai, out front, from seeds I saved from last year.
Debra - I have Kikyo Ice for the first time currently. And unfortunately, the rust is getting all my I. nils so I probably won't get many seeds if any from all my current I. nils. :-(
This is the baby woodrose I grew last year and kept in the pink bedroom, it has a couple of other friends in there, looks like a poor texas star hibiscus got tangled up in this pot. Poor thing. I had one last winter it grew and bloomed all the whole time down there, and was almost 7 ft tall. I will take this one out of this pot, and let it grow this winter as well. The woodrose has not bloomed yet, and I need to pull the i. purp out I found blooming. Those pink i. purps are in everything. They also have mites. ugh.
This plant started n one of my white shower caddys on the patio, behind my chair. It cralled into the bean patch and into the electric lime coleus I over wintered..They look good together, but I have to move everything off the patio to get to it. Mistake.
The vine that Emma ID as Ipomoea hederifolia var lutea, I rooted some of the pieces I cut off of it, they are very happy now in this pot......
Time for September's Chronicles into Fall.. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1126739/
