Oh, it will get tagged.. LOL And Moved, since it is in a pot .. I think I can move it intact. It is a new vine from a pot I put down at the edge of that area .. Poor thing.
This little kikyo of Beckys was hard to shoot, as it has a leader right off the bloom there.. and it has a bud too..

Debra, Love the bloom in post

Debra,
As best I can tell, it looks like
Ipomoea hederifolia var lutea
https://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/104810/
I agree with Jackie, your purple blooms are gorgeous!!
Debra,
That first flower in you the very first post looks like it may have come from an Akatsuki Mix, maybe Akatsuki no Nishiki or one of the Akatsuki types, they have lots of red ones with pink in them like those up above. Did you grow an Akatsuki that you tried to cross? Either way, it is beautiful. Hopefully it will make lots of seeds for you. I have a copy of the photos for these Mixes in the original JP Packaged pack from Japan that came from Komeri unopened, so, if you would like to see it, just let me know and I'll take a photo. You may have it though if that is what you grew.
Emma, I hope that is it.. I sure thought it was the Orchera or how ever it is called. Are the blooms big on that hederifolia var lutea? And does it grow roots from the leaf joins? This one does..
Gourd, the seeds I planted on that area were from seeds I collected on the other end last year where the Roman Candy and SOH were growing. The only Akatsu I have grown has been on the Patio wall and the corner barrell and the South fence. I only have one JMG package from Onalee, Miko No Mai, which I grew last year as well. That one was on the patio. I sure like the Akatsus. I sure am glad you all know what is what, too.
Jaimie Lynn has shown herself right where she was last year, from Emmas and Ronnies I. Purp mix they sent me, these are all volunteers. So far every single one that grew in that spot last year has shown up, except for RC. The pure white, JL, rebecca, the small blue, SOH, the pink, and the purple, and the blue with the dark center are all blooming now. I had to cut away Rebecca in a spot on up the fence, she was eating my poor Hibiscus plants.
WOW Debra you are rocking my world. I think I may have a new passion here. Always been fond of MG's as a kid, but things have come a long way in 40 odd years. :)). Thanks for the breadcrumbs to the new thread.

Hi Debra,
I had been looking for some document protectors and dividers when I ran into this package, Just thought you might be interested that's all, I know next to nothing regarding this strain of I. nils or any of the Kyushu genes. Good luck and I am so glad to know there are other novices trying their hand at pollination.. whether on purpose or not... keep the photos coming.
ditto rvnsbrk, it sure is nice what Mother nature does.. isn't it? I love it.
A.
Love your plum color vines Debra, Mother nature sure does incredible work!!
Thanks so much for sharing your blooms with us Debra!
Debra
The Ipomoea hederifolia var lutea is a very small Bright Yellow bloom. Many times I have had MGs root when they were on the ground, so I would say that would be a probablility.
I believe the I. Ochracea has more heart-shaped leaves

This is awesome

Debra - A beautiful show of blooms for you this year! This one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8066512 looks like it could be called Pink Splash!
Here is my Mauve Splash from last year. Notice the similarity of the pattern on the blooms.
Oh, it is okay Gourd, I just was saying I haven't had but one Akatsu that came from a package. I welcome any advice, knowledge and insight to anything I grow in the Magical world of Morning glorys.
Emma, such a big leaf and vine for such small flowers .. LOL but.. any YELLOW mg will be worth the wait.
That yellow chinese mg I got last year when everyone else was getting them from that chinese source had not done anything. I found a tag for I. obscura in my " meant to tag" box. I hope I see that one before I die.
A caudex seedling from seeds from Emma. I found it growing sideways in the corner barrell.. Now I have three of them going here..
Debra,
Another Wow!

So Gorgeous!
This is a very pretty Dark Blue Blizzard
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8067919
If you got it as a Split Personality - not even close is it!
Probably a stray seed.
Your Jamie Lynn is very pretty. What is it about that MG. I love it too.
Really pretty 4-O'Clock
Looks like a 'Real Red'

Yes, it is funny to see the small Yellows and the leaves they have. Even though they are small, the blooms totally cover the vines, Plus, they stay open all day and into the evening.
Love all your blooms Debra.
Great blooms Debra, love your purples too. I need to grow some of mine cause it looks like they crossed with others I had growing with them.
Great blooms Debra love them all.
Debra these are some of the ones that I started from you way late. I'm loving it! Going to go big on MGs next year I think the whole problem I've had with growing thigs from seed in the past is that I try to start them inside. Even with the light carts I never get good results. These I just put in the ground and let them go. Lessons learned...

I see Roman Candy to the left and Blue Jishsi x TenTen to the right.. good growing! those seeds came from
Onalees ( RC) and Becky G. ( Blue Jishis x TenTen) that I grew outside last year. My jishis and kikyos are just now getting started. ( Budding) .. the vine clippings from sticto cardia, alba moon vine and Coral Vine I took are still alive. Unbelievable. I have set up the area to bring in the vines I have in my small pots, I am using the door hanging 6ft long multi pocketed clear Shoe Bag I used over the winter last year, only it is in strong light this time. I will be bringing in things starting mid September, working on the jungle tropical area right now downstairs. I know I said I wouldn't do this, but heck.. football is my only other option for winter doldrums. Bah.
I posted this bloom earlier in the spring, it was one of the first to bloom in the corner barrel twines, in a pot n the cement by the barrel, I had to cut it away. Now it is vining again, in the old bean patch. I love it, but still no one has ID it for me.

I found some mealy bugs on my cestrum and jessimines, so I went to war with soap water yesterday and power blasted them. I hope they stay down..
This pretty white with pink specks is vining along the lead wire I set up for it. It will be cool, cuz there are about 8 buds all the same size, and I hope they wait until this weekend to bloom.. No ID on this one as yet from anyone either.. ( may be from danys mix tho)
I went to water my pretty voodoo lily, and all that was there is the pot. I think it is done for the season, dang..
Some times, things just go too quick for me. I like to have another to replace it with some kind of foliage or flower, but I left that pot alone.. I should have stuck something in it I guess.. I went out into the country side and dug up some of the large wild native convolvulus, and now they are all tucked away in a pot for the winter out back. I collected some seeds of it, while I was at it.. alot of the vines had revived after the heat wave we had, they like wet areas. They should be very happy in my native garden.
This one was all caught under some leaves, it was very pale almost pinkish brown. I planted some coco chocolates from Luvesgrtdanes.. ( ronnie) I think this is hers.

There were about 8 of these open this am.. but only had light and time for one shot.. hubby Joe really likes this one in fact, he told me to save as many seeds as I could get. He usually tells me to quit growing things in the tomato patch, but this one he has taken a shine too, and the tomatoes are still producing so.. ;)
I just love my Joe.. *sigh* anyways, this one is a shining star in his books, and thanks to you who sent me the seeds.
My camera hasn't been working right, or else the settings aren't set right for 7:30 am ish ( it is now dark at 6 thirty ish)
I did get a somewhat decent picture of this moonflower I planted from my seeds of the main plant, this plant thinks it is going to stay there forever, but it isn't. I am moving it out this fall to his new home.
You can see the blue/lav I. Purps behind it.. ( again, Thanks to Luvsgrtdanes)
