It seemed to have Freudian overtones, but I may be speculating (Mr. Spock).

Yes I can see that happening, the ins co. says it's the homeowner's fault and pays a percentage of what It would have normally paid, then afterwards raises the premium to get rid of the client. The homeowner then has a very hard time finding a reasonable rate from any other co. within that state.

The likelihood of ignition/combustion ocurring in the situation described is incredibly remote; only a magnifying glass, or equivalent, could *possibly* bring the temp up to 600 degrees.

1.) Highly implausible (1st edit: spontaneous ignition is profoundly rare)

2.) Insurance is a racket

Doesn't match up with the laws of physics (despite grain elevator explosions, which require a very specific combination of conditions, on a very large scale).

There's a reason why insurance companies have the largest, most expensive buildings, and it's the same reason Las Vegas casinos are so big, grandiose, and expensive: other people are paying for 'em.

(It's the losers who pay for big buildings, either in Las Vegas, or at big city insurance companies.)

I'm eating! I just don't have a really good appetite right now, im hoping after this is over it will resume to normal. I need a hike up into the White Mountains....will do that after we leave your house. ^_^

Pixie, remember occasional deep breathing, it really helps.
