Sure. We should start a thread on our own favorite travel experiences. Go ahead, Deb, you can start it. You are lucky to have done a good amount of US travel.
Coffee Break # 43 - Dog Days Coming to an End??
My next door neighbor's oldest son decided to quit his job and trek across country(the northern route). To prep for it he has been sleeping in a tent in the backyard.
Not sure if that is good, but I do envy him.
I guess better do it now while he can. He said he's been wanting to do this for years
Good idea Victor for a travel thread, though I sure could go on and on. I'll start one, thanks.
Hope everything is ok with your fam Victor. Glad to see Earl took a powder. Just got back from the west coast cuz EMoo had an emergency. Moo broke her hip and was taken to a hospital in the middle of nowhere that E can't drive to. Moo is now 'nailed' (what a funky weird thing to call it) and I have cooked and froze good food and hired a housekeeper. Bro is now there and hopefully EMoo will be back together again in their abode soon flipping over who gets to use the walker. I want to get them his and her senior scooters - red for Moo and blue for E ^_^ http://www.speedysenior.com/4G-Mobility-Scooter.htm
Oh, I have been there, & it's not a good place to be....hope she makes a fast recovery!
Sorry to hear, Dnut.
My husband Jim got hurt at work 8/16. Pulled a muscle in his stomach. When it happened he said " it burns felt like I got stung by a bee" Just got a letter saying he was denied Workers Comp. Benefits. Meaning they wont pay the hospital bill. I just called and think I got them going in the right direction. She said he is denied because he got stung by a bee. I said wait - he said it felt like he got stung, it burns and it hurts.
I said let me see if I can throw some light on this subject. When it happened that night he came home and asked me if I could see anything - I could not see anything. I said - it was a week and still hurting and he lifted something at work and made it worse. I said mam - Hes 60 years old, never filed anything with anyone that I know of. He is not a complainer and it hurt!
She said - we just got the medical records and it will go in front of a review. Why oh why oh why didnt they read the records first seeing the doctor said it was a pulled muscle.
Jim went back to work, never missed a day and got released from the hospital to lift again. If they dont pay the... hospital bill they will realize they just screwed with the wrong person. Wait till Jim gets home and hears this!
Maddening, but typical.
Hopefully they won't deny the claim.
Sherrie, hopefully everything will work out.
This is crazy!!!!

NOT GOING ON A CRUISE NOW!!!!!!!!!
Sherrie, get the doc who treated him to help with a call or letter.
I read somewhere that most insurance companies always deny your claim at first hoping you will go away.HANG IN THERE Sherrie!!!
Pixie I think it would be fun ^_^ (unless someone erped on me and then not)
Oh man, that video made me sick! Really smart not to chain that big stuff.
I got a feeling lots of people were erping on that boat D-nut!! LOL
Having been on a cruise to Bermuda, where I was seasick for 72 hours, I will not step foot on another ship! I was sick just looking at that clip........
Bummer RD motion sickness is NOT fun. I'm good on boats, planes, trains, cars and horses but not so good on choppers. I used to wear the stickys behind my ears on those http://www.essortment.com/lifestyle/healthmedicine_sjxg.htm I get land queasy after long sailing trips but I just stagger about; no erping.
Coasters are my fav.
I just don't like big drops I hate that feeling of your stomach falling. My hubby loves it.
Crazy in that back room with the forklift, good thing there was no one in the way of that thing, they would have been squooshed.
I would never get on a cruise ship, takes too long to get to where I'm going. (lol)
Cruises never appealed to me. Too tied to their schedule - limited time to roam and explore. They're really geared to people who want to pig out.
Me too WC and Victor. I'd rather be zipping about getting lost. The one we went on a couple of years ago was all NA food. I was disappointed. I wanted local food :( I guess they have to cater to the majority of the clientelle though. I would, however, like to try one where you and the furniture slide from one end of the boat to the other.
Go to the fun house at any carnival instead.
They still have those? Cool!
Everyone see the milk recall??

Read this today on boston.com
Ah, the pleasures of canoeing on the majestic Charles River. The splash of the paddle in the water, the geese flapping through the air, the turtles and fish finning their way through the water, the alligator sunning itself on a log.
Whoa, hold on there. An alligator?
Yes, an alligator.
Geez!!! Maybe im not coming to the RU after all!!!
You have some baseball bats there we can keep handy at the RU?
NY alligators are way tougher.
charlse river outside of boston ladies - second one they have found this year - another was in a pond - these people letting these go should spend some time behind bars thinking about what they are doing.
I agree!
Ignorant people are cruel to animals, nevermind that they shouldn't keep them in the first place.
I'll start a new thread.
