She hasn't text back so I have no idea. Yes the do allow cells in the hospitals :-) I'm hoping she's asleep and with Chris and not in delivery, but then again since her water broke maybe it's better if she is in delivery??? I have no idea????
2010 Sistahs reunion at Cookies..the memories! #4
I suppose it's up to the hospital, but most don't allow cell phones here, because of the interference with equipment and pacemakers..
Well, when I called Stacey this morning, she answered, so I'm guessing that they're allowed. At our hospitals here, they aren't allowed anywhere around Emergency or the Operating Rooms, but in the regular rooms they are allowed.
When my DDIL had her little one last year she had her phone with her.
They want Stacey to hold off until after 7:00 am tomorrow for the sake of Jonathan. He is building up lungs right now and they want to wait until the last possible time and they feel that 7:00 is it!
Wow Susan, I don't know of a hospital that doesn't allow cell phones here, my mom has always had her cell phone with her every surgery she's had the past couple of years.
This is from Stacey, 2 hours ago on facebook.
Dr will come tomorrow afternoon and let us know what will happen from there-will they take me off the drugs that are preventing labor so Jonathan can come, or will they keep me on them and try to hold off labor for another week or so to let him develop more?? Won't know til tomorrow
Good for them that they're letting Jonathan develop his lungs more....
I guess she'll be in for a C-section for sure....don't want a dry birth canal!!!
No news yet, so hopefully soon the Dr. will come in and tell her whats going to happen?
Hope we hear something soon..she'll be thrilled to have it behind her and having Jonathon home with them...can't you just smell the baby powder?
Stacey posted 25 minutes ago...
waiting for Dr this afternoon and specialist sometime today....tra la la, bored to death and my back and butt are killing me......
Another message from Stacey...
They will start giving me Pitocin after lunch to get the show on the road since I am at 6cm:")
Well, Ladies I have the whole scoop on Stacey but will put it on the Seet Interruptions so it gets maximum coverage. Switch to there...
Thank you, Janice
Janice I copied it to Betty's thread too.
He will be in NICU for a couple weeks until he can eat from a nipple,be it bottle or natural. C-section was a little scarry, but all is good-a litle sore is all.
Who wants to see pics??

Thanks for all the well wishes:) It was an interesting road to travel I must say. I was in such pain Friday night by the time they decided to do the Csection, but was still scared for the procedure. When he came out he let out a little wail, but Chris said he was good through all the poking and needles. Chris went with him to the Nicu while I got put back together and then came to me in recovery. I had a fabulous team and the anesthesiologist was great. He told me what to expect right before it happened to I knew what was going on was normal. After I spent about 1.5 hrs in recovery, they took me to see Jonathan before going to my room. It was and has been hard to leave him there. I was able to finally take a shower yesterday (hadn't had one since Tuesday) after lunch and visiting the baby. He is already eating some on his own, and the only reason he needs to stay here is because he isn't taking full feedings on his own yet. He has a supplement tube in his nose and down his throat for feeding. But the nurses were surprised that he was already taking 10ml of formula pretty much since birth and they upped him to 20ml yesterday for lunch. I was able to get a little milk when pumping, so will be taking that to him today. So far everything has went pretty well with my recovery. I did have some reactions to the anesthesia though. I have been itching like crazy and was dizzy all day yesterday and Friday night-so much so it made me sick. Chris slept at home last night, but will be here in a couple hrs this am. Mom is coming as well as SIL, but my mom won't be here for a couple weeks. We are trying to time it so that when Chris goes to Minneapolis she can be here.
We've got that stupid virus...so I'm on the laptop....just wanted to say...Congrats...he's beautiful!
I'm running a back-up of my computer... Does anyone know what the virus is called??
I'm so happy you and baby are doing good Stacey and WELCOME JONATHAN!!!!!
GREAT NEWS Stacey!
Stacey, sounds like you had too much pain meds, it makes me do that also, dizzy and sick to tummy! Let it wear off, and you will be OK! It was no nice to hear you voice on the phone, I enjoyed the conversation! Glad to hear Chris got some sleep! Now you go home, and get lots of sleep while you can, cause when Jonathan comes home, you won't get any till he starts sleeping through the night!
Morning,
Not the nicest of weather outside so am trying to fill in the day, as like with most of you, there are many projects 1/2 or 3/4 done and waiting for my attention.
Sorry about the virus, drats, even though I have anti-virus program on my computer I still worry about getting one. Is repair costly?
Well back to work before I sit too long and energy leaves me..
Repairs are very pricey. Depends on what virus you get, but most of the time, it seems these virus' get your harddrive, and wipe destroy all your pictures, video's, personal info, as well as any programs you may have. When I had mine, I had to get a new harddrive, and that cost me $300.00 from Dell. Then you have to download or re-install all the programs... Takes a lot of time, and frustration!
It is frustrating. There is a program in every PC built now that has a back-up system where you download your whole computer onto a cd or floppy drive, I'm looking for that program right now and I am going to back up. If a virus comes along and wipes out my hard drive again, I'll just have to insert the cd and woo hoo there's all of my stuff back, from when I backed up. Anything I did after the backup up to the crash won't be on there. They say you should back up at least once a week if you download a lot of programs and what-not. If you're like me and just download gamehouse games and such, it's probably not that big a deal. This is the main reason I store all of my pics in Picasa, if my computer crashes the pics are still there.
To Backup on Windows XP, you have to put in the WinXP disc and go to "Perform Additional Tasks".
Here is where you can backup your files........ The program is not on your Hard Drive.
Huh, maybe Vista is the same way, I'll have to look for a disc when I get home.
I just found it on the puter here at work, if you click on the start and type "Back" in the search at the very bottom it comes up.
On windows XP it has to be installed. The installation instructions are on the Windows XP CD.
I had to Google it for complete instructions. I didn't give the complete instructions above.
Sorry - gotta dash and get ready for my interview ^_^
I'm sorry, I was talking about Vista, thought I typed in my post. LOL! Looks like I'm thinking too much today, maybe I should just stop that, which means I get to not work today too! :-o
I thought you said Vista.............
LOL I thought I did too! LOL LOL LOL LOL!!
Huh, maybe Vista is the same way, I'll have to look for a disc when I get home.
See? You DID say Vista, just didn't repeat it in the next posting LOL
btw - the interview went fabulously!! They even started talking salary again LOL
We'll see - this Missouri Mule will believe it when it happens though (no, I'm not from Missouri, but I may as well be LOL)
AAHHH Susan, now we know that we're not completely nuts, Thank You!!
LOL Susan, have you ever been to Missouri?
