Betty is not messing around when she says it is humid. OMG it is so hot and humid since 7:30 this morning. Not good day for me and I have so much to do.

Our normal "electric" (hydro for Canada) is around $98...opened the bill yesterday...$342. OMG! Between fans and AC window unit...it did us in!

Bev, good morning. How are the flowers this morning...many blooms still or is the heat knocking them out?

I have to drag myself into the kitchen and find something to eat. This new "diet" just plain sucks.....and I REALLY REALLY miss my RC.

Debbie-I hear ya-our normal electric is $140 a month in the summer and this year it is $245-ugh-so hot so much of the time that everything has to work harder to keep the house cool....and this year I have been keeping the AC set at 5* warmer than in past years......UGh-when does fall get here??

We're starting to get fall weather now..... yuck!
Windows have condensation on my car in the morning. siiiiiiiiiiiiiigh Nip in the air, too.

Wow Debbie, are you on equal billing and perhaps they've adjusted for end of year total..that's a big jump for sure..that's enough to send you of the deep end..I pay $100 monthly, have had a $300 credit for most of the year, then with HST tax (new) and hydro increase they upped my monthly to $106.00 hoping that will equal out..

Debbie, even with dehumidifier it's still so damp in the house because of humidity..icon on it said 72% this morning..didn't read my instructions well enough, not sure if that means that 72% is how much humidity is in the house??? that's a lot if it is..would imagine with your swelling that this weather is causing you more health issues..as for the RC..about the same with my pepsi..was so good at not drinking it then got off the wagon..weight back on..better get with the program as well!

Glad you got your teeth looked after, and look at that..didn't even worry..perhaps you should make daily trips WHEN you need dental work just incase there are cancellations

Missy, looks very comfy, lol...Skittles loves to be on my material, sew cute sometimes she plays with the scraps...Can't leave her for a second though don't want her pooping on my projects. I usually end up taking her home for fear she will get in the way of scissor blades or get caught in the needle! Sometimes all i have to say is Dangerous and she'll play elsewhere, but when she doesn't listen she has to go home.

Yep, i was working outside, Ran around with my Giant weed yanker, geesh that thing is heavy! But it does the job, well.
Yanked out all the Burdock with stems. Holy smackers, those roots are really long, about as wide as your computer screen!
If they are are just leaves then the wp doesn't work! Now i just have to get behind the pool area. OMG, I am so excited, checked on the compost and woohooo, it's almost ready.

GRRR, we've got a beehive somewhere in the walls of the house!! We have been catching bees and putting them outside. These are bumble bees too, Yesterday, captured one that was about the size of a quarter. Trying to find where they are coming in from...Then if that isn't bad, we have 2 wasp nests in the screen house!

OK, so I mailed off my blocks for August, going to start the next ones maybe tonight...It's suppose to rain again today so, I have slated, scrubbing the kitchen down, sigh but I might just wait until the kids are back in school, yippee only a couple more weeks!!

OMG, someone Broke my glass tabletop, I am not at all happy, Whoever had to have dropped something in just the right spot in order for it to break in 3. The glass is 1/2in thick, I can even see the indent of the impact...Someone has some serious explaining to do!

But I do love it, no time to think about it...Julia is terrified of needles. When we got her inoculated for chicken pocks, it was unbelievable, one would think we were killing her. OMG, As you probably know, 3 injections, I made Steve take her for the 1st 2, it took 3 people to hold her down. I took her for the last one, and while she wasn't looking told (with sign language) the nurse to just do it now! Which she did. Julia started to scream and burst into laughter that it was done! shaking my head Thank heavens that is over!!

Mary, Yep t's amazing what baby animals do to bring people together. I am so glad for your family. When Skittle was so tiny, we were all fighting in a good way, to look after her, hold her etc...Now, I can't get anyone to clean her cage! LOL, that's my job, but then she is "My" baby. Hot diggity, I swear she said thank you yesterday!! Been saying that to her each morning, when we have our toast. We have been working on good morning and yummy...And awe, ask her for a kiss and she makes the kissie sound!!

Oh, I AM taking it slow. Only spent 1/2 hr on the bike yesterday, and going tomorrow (hoping to make it 3x a week). I see my trainer on Monday am (before work). Good thing the company is paying for my gym fees! $80/hr for the trainer - yikers again! Am I in the wrong industry? actually no, cuz I have a guaranteed income, and not self-employed. I don't think I could ever do the "self-employed" thingee again - it takes a special type of person to do that and that's not me ^_^

Debbie, my heart always races when you post, you can always hear the excitement in your post..yikes, not good about the table top, costly to have it replaced...Steve being the man about town, have him cut a sheet of plywood in desired design and do glass tiles on it..cheaper than trying to replace glass or replace the set..

Skittles is just too cute...you sure are all getting him trained..can't believe he doesn't try to escape his abode....as for the hives, I had similar problems and at hardware stores (maybe Home Depot) they have the imitation hives you put in same areas..they are very territorial and after seeing them they'll move...did work but then I did break the original hives and they didn't come back)...ohhh dangerous having hives..but bees are getting less in numbers and that's not good either...

My backyard is almost all weeds Judy, keep thinking about getting one of those weeders but if I started getting rid of weeds only sand would remain..

Tay Township Recreation Department are trying to get a garden walk going in the community, not really a Garden Show that you pay for visiting but simply a walk about the gardens, it's in 2 weeks, no sure about how many of the flowers will still be in bloom but am tempted to put my name down..would mean a lot of work in the next week though..we'll see..left my name at the Municipality for them to call so they can provide additional info before I make up my mind..

Dianne, too cute..coming back as a sleeper...I don't need much rest either but I'm not able to take naps, puts me in a bad humor and I'm done for the day once I nap..wish I could though..

Debbie, when you were speaking of how much it was costing for hydro, do you use regular lights or have you changed to the new FLUORESCENT lamps that tend to produce less heat and cost less to have on...my kitchen has fluorescent lights as does my studio..

Even lamps have the new mini fluorescents .. only complaint I have is when I'm working on projects the Dluorescents seems to give shadows...but, sure keeps the heat down when on all day!

tubby, when I posted to Judy re the hornets nests I explained that they are very territorial..I found the only method of getting rid of their hives was to purchase pre-fabricated look like nests and place in same area as the hornets...didn't take long before they found another place to live seeing as another group had moved in the neighborhood...

Think Riley was a bit territorial as well, skipped out when Ned came to visit..didn't want another pooch in his territory, very territorial so guess he decided that my home isn't where she wants to be..

How's that? lol

When visiting Judy these past years, I've seen but not talked to one of her neighbors across the street, an elderly busy body of a man who must have been a general because he's always on patrol, cars not where they should be, kids not doing what he thinks they should do, why someone from out of state might be visiting, why there are 3 weeds in the garden etc. etc. etc. must have been a good general as generals are...has to stay on top of these even though there is no need..Judy needs not have security system installed, the General looks after all!

Went out at lunch, found a scatter rug for living room, lots of beige amongts the brown/maroon/green boxed design .. might be to light..Suzanne thinks I'm bonko to have purchased such a rug for Sailor to lay and peepee on...oh well..another lesson in life..lol

I just survived grocery shopping with Shane...90 minutes in the darn store, mostly reading labels. UGH! We didn't get any meats, so am going to the market later to get those....so hot out.
