(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

OH my Tex do you have all those dahlias in bloom? I only have a few buds! Beautiful!

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

Luvsgrtdanes - yes, all those posted above are currently blooming but got more to come.

D-Nut - I thought you were into your mischeivious wording again when you said "Ponk Petticoat" and just realized I wrote 'Ponk' instead of 'Pink". LOL! Shmook indeed!

great show tex - how do you have josephine blooming now?

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hi Bill! I got Josephine as a small plant from a co-op late spring and is just starting to flower now. But according to plant files it's supposed to flower from late spring to early fall.

That Avant-Garde I posted above were from the same co-op too and so is Franziska Maria below.

Tex, do you dig up all the dahlias and save them for next year?

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

Jen - this is the first year I'm growing dahlias seriously. Last year I purchased a couple tubers from Home Depot at half price and now I'm hooked with dahlias. As far as digging the tubers this fall, yes I will otherwise it will be too expensive to purchase them every year. Some of my dahlias are newer introductions and it cost from like $17 to $22 per tuber. The rest are the usual prices. I may not dig them all, but surely a lot are worth digging for.

Malvern, PA(Zone 6b)

Nice blooms Tex, Dnut, Pixie and Marilyn. I have a lot of zinnia, cosmos, crocosmia, liatria, glads, cannas in bloom; My dahlias have buds. Need some good rainfall.

Lots of great photos since I was here last! Tex I have to agree that I love the orange pink Bodacious, and I would never have bought it if it was advertised as a Red.. Also, those double lilies will take me a while to get used to! Very different looking, I didn't realize they already have so many to choose from. :) Love the Ambassador Rose and Tournament of Roses which is one I bought before. But I had to get rid of it because it was a diseased plant. Would like to get another healthy one though. Those butterfly shots are really pretty! It takes a lot of patience to get shots like that! My clematis already have yellow leaves and are beginning to go dormant, that's so funny you are getting blooms! My plants always bloom at a completely different time than they should when they are first year planted.
