Continuing with lilies, this I only know as Scarlet Delight. I'm thinking it's a specie but some vendors classify it as oriental.

Here's a series of double-flowered lilies. Some are gone, some are still holding on for dear life. All first year planted and kinda look wicked.

First is oriental lily Chrys with Pink Above All rose.

'Ismael' has very unique coloring! I'm getting used to the doubles, only have 2, an old one called Elodie and this dark pink one.

Tex look under "Black beauty' thats what your 'Scarlet Delight' reminds me of. I personally can not tell the difference between the two. :)

'Distant Drum' looks like a "Stargazer' exploded! It's very bright!

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

Pix - I was thinking of that too. Maybe they're selling it at a different name.
You're double looks like Distant Drum. Funny how they call them doubles when they're actually triples.
I also have a double asiatic - Double Delight also know I think as Double Sensation.

Time Out lilies (I think):

Now that you mentioned Stargazers - these I'm thinking are Stargazers but not quite sure. They were sold to me as Stargazers by school kids raising funds for the school.

Lily season is winding down but here comes the DAHLIAS!

First on the parade is Bodacious. Supposedly a red and yellow blend. Mine is orangy-pink blend.

Oh those are lovely!! I like Bodacious as orangey-pink and that "Gloriosa' & "jack' would make a stunning combo!!!

I like that pink blend on Bodacious too. Everything just starting to bloom and more to come. Amazing some of my dahlias are now about 6 feet tall and still growing. So much about height description.

These are Rock Run James.

As the name implies, I think this is the biggest among all my hibiscus - Pink Elephant. My brother calls it hibiscus on steroids.

GORGEOUS Tex!

Wow....love every photo! Ishmael is wonderful. Where do you buy your dahlias, Tex? I usually get mine from Swan Island, but they haven't done well this year. Also love all the hibiscus...I bought one last week...it's budded, so I hope it blooms. This is an Akita mix......

All gorgeous pics tex and pixie. Not sure how I feel about the double lilies. They are interesting for sure. Will take some getting used to probably.
The dahlias are really nice but that hibiscus 'Sultry Kiss' caught my eye. Is that a fairly accurate color? Most pics of it are not very flattering as far as I have seen. Like the red stems too.

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

Thank you, Jen!

Pat - Yes, that is a fairly accurate color on Sultry Kiss. The young stems got a hint of red but not purely red, as they mature they turn to green.

Robin - I get my tubers from SI too, but I also get rooted cuttings from Corralitos Garden.

Another dahlia just unfurled yesterday I think - James Tyler.
