So today...I'll be having a feast for dinner. At exercise class a girl brought an eggplant from her garden. Bill's Dad gave us tomatoes last night. I still have cucumbers...Bertie just gave me fresh picked corn. So we'll be vegetarians tonight and I can hardly wait!!!!

Tomorrow I have to take my DM&DD to Pickerington for a cousin get-together. With a side trip for me to Reynoldsburg for some plants I'm being gifted...when it comes to free plants, obviously "no" is not in my vocabulary!!! Then I really am going to have to get busy in the yard, cause the reunion is next Saturday. I wanted to have the things done that I didn't get done before all my "sistahs" came! So far...it's been too hot to get out and get much crossed off my list! Did get my Johnson's Blue geranium cut back, and the flowerheads off the sedems. Cut back the mums and sedums for Fall flowering. That rain we had has all the phlox laying over as well as the echies...not sure what I'm going to do about that!

Synda...so glad your report was mostly good. Prayers for the other thing!

Oooh.. so sorry Cookie... all that rain harming your beautiful echies.

That's what I'm having right now.. veges!!! Not home grown, but fresh from WM. Stir fry brocc.. onions.. carrots and some canned chestnuts.
Can't wait for my eggplant to start producing.

Food plans for this evening were cancelled. Bill's off with Lanney, and I'm too pooped to pop. Today was exercise, then quickly home, into the shower and off to donate plasma. Then to Lebanon to feed the friends' dogs. Stopped at Berties and visited while picking up the fresh veggies. Decided I needed to lay down a minute, cause 5:55 am was a long time ago. After that, Bill was leaving and I just had some chips and hummus. Then outside to put more landscape fabric down by the brugs. That wore me out in the heat, so I sat on the swing, drank a beer and watched the fish. Just had my second shower of the day, and now I have to cut and wrap caramels for the trip tomorrow...No rest for the wicked!

Actually, Donna, I was just Mapquesting Lancaster. I need to go to Menards. The one that's closest to us is 45 minutes away and my car is not in tiptop condition, so we try to avoid using it for that long a trip. But since I'll be in my M/D car......and we'll be in Picktown. (Heehee....didn't think anyone still called it that! That's all my M/D ever called it. They were both born and raised there!) They will probably be all tuckered out from the visit and lunch with the cousins. I'll see how they're feeling and decide then if we can swing that way. Still have to stop in Reynoldsburg, too, so can't be asking for a lot of extra running.

OMG LK-that was my worst fear with the BP issues I've had. Did they give her steroids first? Why did they take it so early? Poor precious baby-please let us know how they are both doing. I imagine that Ashley is in quite a state right now worrying...

Lots and lots of prayers going up for Ashley and baby. My mom was a preemie (3 months premature) and she weighed 1 pound in 1948 and she did the incubator and the only thing wrong with her was she had a lazy left eye, which was corrected when my mom was 3. I pray that this baby won't even have that problem and will grow and be perfectly healthy.

Well the verdict is out at work, it was out last night but I stayed until 5:30 talking to my bosses. My co-worker who I share jobs with but she's always whining about how she doesn't want to be at work and my boss has to almost, well not almost, babysit her to get work done because she's too busy babysitting her husband and playing Sudoku, her last day is July 30th. If there are anymore budget cuts to be done Ms. Cheerful's last day will be Sept. 30, if we don't have to cut budget again she won't have to go. I move into my private office on August 1st, and will work in there unless there's no phone coverage.

I have excellent news. I just talked to my brother, and he said so far the baby is fine, no lung problems, heart is fine.. She will stay in the hospital for at least 3 months, and they have a lot of test to do yet, but so far all is good! Praise God for another answered prayer!

Donna I do believe you can make a tree grow any direction as long as the trunk isn't too thick around(I can't tell by pic) and a pesticide that is tree / plant friendly would get rid of any bad bugs.But I do know that the branches are not to touch the ground ( it's to be kept trimmed)on a weeping cherry and in the pic it looks as if they are.And boy ,I would like to just come and get it ,cause I would gladly take it off her hands,I have wanted one for years .......LOL I would trim, replant it crooked and then anchor to grow upright.These are what I found,well more ,but didn't want to overwhelm you..........LOL.

Well, it is for pain after having my elbow assaulted 5 times trying to draw fluid out in an attempt to figure out what has happened to my arm. Extremely swollen, visually red and hot. It appears to be centered at the elbow joint and the doc thought there was fluid and infection. Nope, got nothing but me in some really bad pain--he never got it numb enough so I could not feel the needle being inserted. Jaye, I have found out about the Vicodin!!! I was suppose to take 2 500 mg tablets but only took 1--good thing as this was Saturday morning and I am still feeling the grogginess. Leave it to me to get some weird off the wall thing happen.

Other than the arm being very sore I feel great---well sleepy still but that too shall pass.

LK how is the baby doing today?

marion, sounds like gout to me. eat cherries or drink cherry juice. thats the cure. carefull with the vicadin, i have percoset which are just as bad

ROFLOL, Kathy I start eating cherries as soon as they come on the market. Love them!!! I go back to my doctor tomorrow but the ER is saying strep or staph infection. What? No clue.

No word on the baby today, but I imagine she is still doing well, or I would have heard otherwise? I thought that 1lb, 9 oz was tiny, but they said they had a lot more smaller ones in the hospital! Geesh. So many preemies. She is in Colorado Springs, and I guess it is just for preemies there.
