Everything has slowed down here in Maryland, i.e. the birds, me, etc. The temperatures over the next few days will be pushing 100 degrees F. Anyway, it's time to start a new thread. There was excellent variety and great photos on the previous thread, so please stop by at the following link.

I'lll start off with a few local Osprey photos. I haven't been visiting the nesting sites as much this summer.
Daily Pics. - Vol. 334
Wonderful shots Linth!
Thanks for starting the new thread!
Beautiful linth, ive been seeing grey herrons flying over ,I thought 1 was in our wetland I startled it and it took off, didnt get a good look,it was outta here!!!! paying closer attention now ....
Beautiful Linth!
Haven't been on the board for awhile and lots of water under the bridge. Haven't been taking many bird pics, either. I'll try to do better. Just saw an Olive-sided Flycatcher in the back yard. He's been around quite a bit recently, but no pic. Second brood of bluebirds will be fledging any day.
Did get a pic of this ode in the back yard.
Don't have anything to share this morning...
We are leaving for a visit to my Mom's in the mountains for a few days. I will be off-line until my return late Thursday, as there is not internet service there. I am sure I will find something to share while I am away though!
I'll catch up to you all on whatever thread is active at that time! Have a great week!
Awesome start!!
Linth, you really started us off with amazing photos. They're all just beautiful.
Wonderful photos in that last thread everyone!
It's hot here too, but the Orioles are keeping me busy making more and more sugar water. We went to the holiday celebration yesterday at a park and this Black-crowned Night Heron landed in a tree we happened to be sitting under. It just looked at me when I asked it to please not dirty on my sandwich.
Great start linthicum. Your Osprey photos are super.
From the last thread, thanks Resin for confirming my female R-t Hummer. AND huggergirl, thanks for the pic of the male. I saw some last year, but none with as red a throat as yours - pretty
man, reddirtretiree - that dragon fly is fantastic. I didn't get "ode" at first and then it hit me - Odonata.
ducbucln - wow, that Black-crowned Night Heron wasn't shy, huh. Great snap. AND that immature Bald Eagle looks fierce.
Mrs_Ed, nice shot of the Bobolinks and R-w Blackbirds. Did you see any butterflies on your walk?
Had me some excitement in my back yard, behind my shed, last evening, I was careless and turned my 4-wheeler over with me on it, without my prothesis on. No damage done to the ATV or me (shook the wife up though, had a hard time convincing her I was ok.). My ranger training came back and I low-crawled, on my back, out of the ditch, over the vines, around the shed and down to the house to get my crutches. Then, I went in the house called a friend, put on my prosthesis and when the friend arrived, we up-righted the ATV. After a little wait it cranked right up, no problem. Oh, well, lesson learned - the hard way.

Enjoyed the Bobolinks. I've never seen one. Went out last fall and this spring when they were migrating through here and came up empty. Did see a lot of Dickcissels, though.
Some of the resident Sky Carp grazing behind the house. Note the Plains Coreopsis.
Glad you are OK, Hack.

Duc, Love that Heron!
Great shots of the Bobolinks Mrs Ed!
Nice one of the Canada Geese red!
Glad your okay Hack.
Just got this one. Quality could be better, had to shoot from across the pond. One shot-- three birds. Blue Heron, Great Egret and Snowy Egret. Also have a pair of Green Herons and a Little Blue that have been hanging around. Had a 3-inch rain yesterday and the falls are flowing more than normal. Guess it's providing more feeding opportunity.
Be careful Hack. Your wife would not be the only one who is scared.
Goodness, I'm glad to learn you're a-okay Hacks.
Ditto to what IrisMa just stated. I'd be worried too.
Linth. I'm glad to 'hear' you too are slowing down too as the weather heats up -- I am not alone either. Great start to the new thread, thank you. It would be so interesting to see the Ospreys babies fledge.
Red, those water fowls are a nice source of joy to watch. I have yet successful at capturing a Green Heron picture, but lo and behold; I stumbled upon one which was hiding behind my ginger container planting yesterday morning when I walked right up to it, just to catch the glimpse of it flying away. No camera ofcourse at that kodak moment. I never have seen a bobolinks myself.
Marna, thank you for posting your Eastern Kingbird. I saw quite a few around my corner of the woods, but wasn't able to catch a good clear photo of one.
Duc, it's awesome to see the Juvie Bald Eagle so close to your residence. Last time I attempted to return to the local Eagle nest, a storm was nearby so I ran for cover. Thus missed their latest happenings.
Okay folks, the good news is my Cardinals are sitting on their nest. This morning I saw Papa in the nest. But the remainder of the day, the Moma is seen sitting there.
Great beautiful shot Linth. Thanks for the new thread.
Funny pose Duc. But nice, that he showed up . Love the Eagle too.
Marna, 4 Bobolinks in one shot!!! Marvelous.
Hack, if you look in Marna`s 3 Red-winged Blackbird shot, you`ll be able to see, she got a butterfly as well.
Red great job, on getting the three birds, especially those one. Love that dragonfly. I haven`t photograph any yet this year, will have to go see, what`s out there soon.
Babies soon Lily!!! Congratulation on your new lifers.
Purple finch looking in.
Great shots Mrs Ed. Those Bobolinks are really pretty birds. Cute Red-winged Blackbirds too.
Red, I love the geese with the Coreopsis blooms.
Hack, I'm with your wife-I would have made you get rid of the atv! Glad you learned the lesson, but please be careful in the future.
Lily, watching that nest would be great. Hope you have lots of babies soon. Great shot of the Kildeer and congrats on the two lifers.
Here's another photo of a Black-crowned Night Heron we found yesterday.
Well-spotted burn! Yah, i saw lots of butterflies. Not many decent pix as they weren't doing much nectaring. But the birds were holding still, so I snapped a pix.
What a magnificent start to the thread, Linth.
I love your shots of the Bald Eagle peering at you, duc. Not too many people have an eagle peering in at them whilst they're at home. Usually it's the reverse. Love the Heron photo as well.
Lovely images, Mrs. Ed. It looks like a beautiful place. Any problem with ticks?
Nice Kildeer with the extreme hairdo, Lily_love.
Two Australian Ravens taunting the male osprey at the nest yesterday afternoon. The bird lower on the branch is either blind or partially blind in its right eye.
Burn, I was taking so long with my post, you got a couple in whilst I was getting distracted. Nice shots of the finches.
