This is oppressive - going to be close to 98 degrees here today - with high humidity. YIKES!
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 73
90° at the moment. Went out at 8 am & got an hours' worth of weeding done in an iris seedling bed. One batch of pasture grass was too stuck to move so DH worked on that one latter. I think that early weeding might be the routine for awhile although he tells me about early graocery shopping tomorrow. that means that I will have to retreat to the room with a/c & probably will later today. No phone in that room so will have to have the mobile one as a pal. Yes we have a cell phone but it is for calling out--no one has the number.
The sun finally has a couple of spots!

It's 99 in my garage. I just placed a thermometer on a chair in full sun on the patio. I'm guessing it will be around 120.
The highest temps I ever experienced were at work. Before we upgraded to better ventilation for the generator room, I would have to go out and check them periodically. In one corner where the heat got trapped, the temp would be in the upper 130's. Felt like my eyes were about to melt.
geez
I just checked and pretty much everything is dry. The only thing damp are the thicker edges on some of the shorts
Why the heck is it cooler in TN????
Yeah - no fair, Sarge!
Were you in Iraq or Afghanistan in summer??
Just checked on that thermometer - off scale! Just put a digital one there.
Here Sarge, check out page 9

Good shot of Guy Noir, Marilyn! I think he is rebelling about the sleigh bells here and headed for you instead! LOL

Hi again from KY - my condolences for your having to endure Ohio River valley summer weather for so long. A taste is good - but every day?
Valley conditions:
68°F now
94°F high today
70°F low tonight (my tomatoes are cheering)
No rain in the forecast till Friday. This is Root Beer Float season!
Here's a couple for irisMA - come to KY for a break (!) from the heat, and you won't have to watch TV...
I can't believe it will stay cooler in KY. Lovely horses. ☺
85°, wind N 8mph, Rh 50%, sunny
