Diverticulitis, JJ?

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Now those are nice cukes JJ! Never knew they made gormet ones. Think my grapes dryed up on the vine :-( Got a few blueberries tho.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I don't know Smiley she never really said what she had.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Diverticulosis more then likely. My mom had it and one of my clients does. Diverticulitis occurs when one or more diverticula in your digestive tract become inflamed or infected, so its called Diverticulitis if it's inflamed.
I learned the difference between the 2 when we had to read up on my client having it.

Diverticula are small, bulging pouches that can form anywhere in your digestive system, including your esophagus, stomach and small intestine. However, they're most commonly found in the large intestine.

Diverticula are common, especially after age 40. When you have diverticula, the condition is known as diverticulosis. You may never even know you have these pouches because they seldom cause any problems, such as diverticulitis.

My mom had the pocket in her intestines. She couldn't eat seeds or nuts. And she was on a blood thinner. She started hermoraging from the pockets. We had to make the choice...... let her bleed to death, or take her off the blood thinner and risk a stroke.
It wasn't much of a choice if you ask me :-(

On a lighter note, I had a new visitor today.
It posed very nicely for me ^_^

Later, I was on the other side of the yard, and here it came again. I was about to take a picture of my mexican sunflower and it showed up to sit on it and got in on the picture.

There are several varieties of burpless cucumbers, Smiley. That's what I always plant.

Pretty flowers.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I never knew cukes had that effect on more than just myself! I thought it was me..... I'll have to keep a look out, because I like the taste of them.

Kassy, pretty butterflies and flowers. Thanks for the medical info, it's always good to learn something new.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Thanks Jim

Thanks Smiley, and you learn something new all the time, especially in my line of work.

And this will give you an idea of how tall my poor blight hit tomatoes grew. BF had to hold the top of them up as they are leaning over their cages.

Whew! I think i am caught up. Great garden Kassy....hope the rain has abated some. We are getting the scattered afternoon showers here everyday. May rain 5 minutes and go away, or settle in for an hour or so....either way, it just makes the 90+ degree temps seem hotter as most of the storms show up between 1PM and 5PM.....kinda know what a crawfish feels like in the pot. Grin

Jim, belated happy Birthday to ya. Sounds like the garden did ya proud and am sure Jo has canned quite a bit. How cool is a free zero turn mower? Ever figure out what good soul favored you with that one? GRIN

Gypsies.....hello again.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Welcome back Jean!!!!!!!!!

JJ, another pink one ........sigh.
But different. I have to get seeds from it.

Getting ripe! ^_^
They had on the news about how the bight is hitting the tomatoes. Said there isn't a lot that we can do about all the rain.

Hi My Gypsie friends!

I am so sorry it has been ages since I've come to visit.
Life's a roller coaster..Haven't spent a whole lot of time on computer...

Anyway, WOWWW, just love all your blooms.
It was just so great to come to Gypsie thread and see all of you!

Kassey, spectacular photos' butterflies and hummingbirds! Sure hope you submit in photo contest!

I have so much to catch up with all of you, I will...In the mean time, I hope you are all well, enjoying fires and conversation.

Just wanted to say Hi!

Waiving, hi, hello

Arm Wraps and Love and peace too!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Hi ya Seed! good to see you, how ya been?
Seems everyone is busy this ime of year, the weeds never stop.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

That's the cool thing about campfires.....someone is always around to kick the coals and keep things going. Hiya Jude. Hope life is being good to you.

Delhi, LA

Hi Moon, it is good to have you back. We all missed you. Did you see the picture of the black day lily you sent me? They were beautiful.

I still have no idea who gave me the lawn mower. It is a real jewel and cuts my mowing time by about a third.

Hurray on the flowers and veggies, Kassy.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Jim. My Mama always said the Good Lord will provide for them that work for the greater good.....sounds like she was right....grin

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Hi ya Seed, long time no see.
I'll enter some of my pictures in the contest if they have it again this year. I got a ton of pictures.

Thanks JJ, I never had a seed pod on my Daylilies before, but then I have mostly the older ones. That one I picked up a few years ago, but I swear it was some kind of pink one??? It almost looks an orangeish pink at times. No clue as to what its called.

Yup Jim, we are finally getting the veggies.

The poor flower beds are getting a lot of weeds in them. The skeeters are so bad, no one feels like spending much time outside. They are even out during the day in the sun :-(

Who needs rain? I'll try to send it your way. This better not be an indication of what we are going to get this winter. One city to the south of us recorded 13 inches of rain this month.
We had rain again last night and this morning.......sigh.

But I do have a puff ball mushroom growing in the yard now. YUM!!!!

Interesting picture here.

See that tree in the left of the picture? What is it? lol

Delhi, LA

I can't tell to much about it from that shot but it looks like some type of conifer.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

FlowerPuff, that looks like the 1st of many blooms on that peony! I'm sure it will be very pretty.

Kassy, I went outside the other day and saw seed pods on a bunch of my daylily's too. This one in particular has them.

Are ya talking about the smallish tree by the house? Need a better look as i am not really very conversant in trees.....grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Smiley if you have a few extra's could I get a few of those seeds, please.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Moon, isn't Kassy peony more like a rose of sharon or something like that?

Kassy love your petunias and very pretty daylilies. I have a couple of seed pods also. I don't know if they are worth saving because after all the seeds I planted this year only a few flowers came up.

Smiley, nice daylily!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I'll save them for ya JJ.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

It does look a whole lot like an Althea (Rose of Sharon), but I am not familiar with peonies. They don't like our heat, so I don't have or see them much. It kinda reminds me of the Althea.'Helene'
