Planted some of the same ones we planted last year that they said should be used by 2002, and they again are doing better then the seeds bought this year.

The greens look great Kassy. We love all that good stuff. You ever tried cooking the beet greens? They are great. The only thing I have in the green line is Mexican Spinach and a little Swiss Chard. Don't know if the chard is still good. It is humongus. Come September I will plant all that good stuff plus cabbage, collards and turnips and oh yes, carrots.

Kassy I got me two new daylilies today. Walmart has them all marked down to $1.50
Got a bi-color purple and one called Mary Reed. They also have a lot of asiatic lilies.
Are ya looking for anything? Be glas to check and see if they have it.
That goes for you to Venice, Jim.Flowers, Dixie, Smiley, everybody LOL

Thanks, jjs but I have run completely out of room after I planted all the DL's.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Even got me a double pink knockout rose for $2.50

Mary Reed is beautiful. I love it.

Mulberry's remind me of when I was in the first grade.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Just till up some more yard Jim..less mowing that way. LOL

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

The tree that I haven't started to pick from yet.

I don't think I've eaten a mulberry in years. Remember eating them all the time as a kid.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

You're going to keep busy picking all those berries.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Thanks JJ, but at this point I'm not real trusting of Wal mart.
I got strawberry roots from then and none of them grew.
I got 2 different colors of garden phlox roots and neither of them grew.
I don't remember what else I got from them, but the only thing that I did get that is growing is a daylily called Final Touch. So far the 3 of them are alive, but we will see how they do next year.

JJ, here it the first petunia of mine that came up from see this year ^_^

Thats pretty I like the color.
I have always had good luck with our walmart flowers. these were pretty good size for $1.50 I wouldn't have paid the original $11.00 for them.

I would jj but someone gave me a new John Deere, zero turn mower and I need grass to mow. Don't have a clue who gave it to me.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Should we take a guess as to what color this one will be?

Excuse weeds, but all we have had here is rain :(
I even picked the berries when it was misting out.

LOL Jim you can come mow mine.
Kassy I'll say purple ^_^

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Wow, that is a nice one JJ. Mine were just bulbs. No greens at all.
I never see anything like that at our wal mart.

ok gotta go, BF needs computer and we have his daughter coming tomorrow.
Will put in pictures of the hen and chicks tomorrow.

Nite everyone ^_^

ps Where I live they had an inch of rain tonight. And I thought all the rain we where getting here was bad.
We also had to kill a snake tonight. What fun.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Kassy they have a greenhouse at ours in the spring/summer they are now marking it all down to get rid of it. I think they even have a 1yr guarantee, if it don't grow get money back with the receipt.

I am getting off here too, have a good night all

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Kassy, do you remember that mulberry tree I had shaped into a globe? This is the first year that it had some tiny white berries. They are so mild. I ate a few and the birds ate a few. Maybe next year they will be bigger.

What do you do with your white ones?

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Kassy veggies look great, know your rain has helped. Good deal on the Lillys JJ. Those end of summer deals are awsome.

Does anyone know what this is? Told my DIL I would ask.

The bloom looks like a peace lily but the foliage looks like some type of varigated philodendrium. Can't remember what the foliage looks like on the peace lily. Old age has caught up with me.

Flowers, post that on plant ID and see what they say.
First thing I thought of was a Peace Lily too, but leaves don't look like it and the blossom is a little different.
I want to know what it is when you find out. Interesting.

JJ, send some of those veggies here please ^_^

Venice, I do rememeber your mulberry tree. I'm going to let the white ones get ripe. I just wanted to show the diffence we have in trees here. Some are very ripe now and some are still green, so I'll be picking for a long time like JJ said.

OK, have to eat and then download some pictures.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

JJ, ahhh green beans!!!!

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)
