Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Good deal! Nobody could get on here for some reason, glad to see ya girls :-)

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I had to go through the home page and not the link, for some reason

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Must have got the link wrong ROFL, just when I thought I knew what I was doing LOL. I'll try to change the link and see if that helps.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

OK want to see those vegie gardens people, come on Jim, know you and Kassy have something popping up .

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I'll just sit back and watch the pictures roll in. I don't have room for veggies.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Tomatoes JJ??
Bad picture because it was a hard area to get a picture of

From my plant that I grew from seed ^_^

Peppers?
One pepper developing and the plant had 6 other blossoms on it so far.
I grew this from seed too.
BF hasn't gotten many peppers off the plants he would buy, so I decided to grow one and show him how many pepper we can get off it.....he he he.

Something ate all my pepper plants not once but twice so now I have none. :(
I have a couple small tomatoes but nothing close to eating size.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Way to go Kassy!!! My poor tater tomatoe is gonna croak I just know it, no rain for another week :-(

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Water it Flowers. If it's in a pot fill up a bottle( wine, pop, gatorade, PBR...the longer the neck the better it works) and stick it in the dirt will water itself.
When bottle is empty fill it back up. Trust me works great.

Ours have had too much rain. I'm afraid blight is going to set in :(

We had so much rain here for a while that it killed off most of the Gypsy moth caterpillar. That was good, but not so good for tomatoes. They don't like a lot of rain, just like they don't like a lot of dry weather either.

I got a yellow marigold out of all those seed that I planted ^_^

My garden has just about produced out. Still getting a few tomatoes and peppers are just starting to make. I've got a bed full of cantalopes that refuse to get ripe. They[ll all ripen the same day and I'll have to give them all away.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Lets try this again, posted on wrong forem LOL Here is stuff out of DD's garden :-)

Flowers, your DD has some VERY nice veggies!

Kassy, you have got to be our seed girl queen!

JJ, you are the expert growing seeds in those gallon jugs and watering with your upside down bottles!

Did I tell you I have one of the 1" tomatoes that might be ripe enough to pick tomorrow! Have some grape tomatoes that are begining to turn orange.

I picked a few green beans and cucumbers.

Oh, JJ, they look so good!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Your tomato's are looking healthy Venice and I would eat that red one.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

They are just one inch cherry tomatoes! All of them are taking so long to ripen. After all this time, I sure hope that little one tastes good!

Delhi, LA

Be patient Venice. When the cherries kick off ripening they will keep you well supplied. Jo has two and I pick a gallon every other day.

(Zone 5b)

I'm having such trouble with my roses I don't want to even battle bugs for veggies!
thanks Jim for your input, I'll let ya know how they fare!

happy 4th of July everybody!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Kassy, when I see those little white butterflies that their larvae eat everything, I run around with my can of Raid and spray them! Not sure if I killed any but it keeps some from coming back.

We had tons of rain before. But now we are going through a very hot dry spell. Some of my plants may have to be water twice a day. Today it will cool down to 88 degrees at 9:00 PM! not counting this awful humidity!

I know this crazy weather has affected the seeds I planted and I am sure all of your plants also. I planted a few seeds last week that are mostly in the shade and I can see them coming up. If I had more shade, I would plant more.

I transplanted the few marigolds that made it all together in one spot. Also it is surprising, I found about 8 tiny of those coleus and put those all together also. And if you remember, I have never had or planted coleus before! Hopefully they will make it and then I will show you a photo.

I think we will pick that tomato today!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Did you see today's article on succulents? I only looked at the photos but they are so peculiar and fun to see different shapes, colors, and how they grow.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Awwww Sweeeet Venice, that tomatoe is ready to eat! JJ those beans and cukes look great. Isn't it fun just going out to a garden and picking a nice veggie for supper? The ground hog ate DD;s lettuce and beans and some snap peas. They put a fence around it so they are starting to come back in. Shes has a baseball size pumpkin that her son planted, will try to get a picture when I see her tomorrow.

I am so glad you guys are getting some fresh veggies. I have felt so guilty feasting on green beans, squash, okra, tomatoes, peppers and peas and you folks not having any. Now mine are about all gone and you can feel guilty about eating all that fresh produce and poor ole Jim doing without. Enjoy.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I'm sure Jo has put up enough that poor ole Jim won't do without his veggies. LOL

Jim, I'm still going without here :p
Too early for us to get them yet. Every thing is just young plants here yet.

Now if they were year round plants, when they would be farther ahead. Like a lot of my flowers are.

JJ, I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed your picture ^_^

Flowers, you asked where the petunia seeds are found? That's why I borrowed JJ's picture ^_^. I put a red circle around the place that a seed pod is starting to develop. You have to wait until that pod dries though, and it will crack when it is dry. Then I cut them off, finish crackig them all the way open over a container, and dump them into the container to dry completely. Then you will have a bunch of tiny petunia seeds. ^_^

It pretty sad when one of the first things I noticed besides the pretty flowers was the seed pod...........LOL

We have rain here again :(
I drove back up to BF's last night and it was raining half the way up, and it has been raining off and on all day :(

Between yesterday and today we have had 3/4ths of an inch, and it's not done for the next few days :(

I know, some places are not getting the rain, I shouldn't complain.
I would gladly share ^_^
You can get too much of a good thing at times!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Don't mind a bit Kassy. I tried to circle one for her but after I do , I can never find the pic with the marks on it. I click save but dang if I know where it goes. LOL
Someday someones gonna find a slew of pictures that have been drawn on and wonder what the heck is this.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

ROTFL JJ

Want my son to clean up your computer? LOL
If we lived closer, he would ^_^

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

BF corrected me on the rain amount. In the past 2 days we have had OVER an inch......sheesh.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

My newest hollyhock that just started to blossom on Saturday ^_^

And my newest flower that just started to bloom today, in the rain :-|

When we were kids, we made ladies with hollyhocks. You take a bloom with a little stem and turn it up-side-down for the ballgown. The take a bud and put it on the stem of the bloom for the head, pointed end up. We were really young when we did that at my grandparents on the farm.

Delhi, LA

Love the flowers Kassy. Sure am sorry you don't have any good fresh veggies. I guess you'll have to make do with mulberries. Wonder if you can make soup with them.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

OK Jim, fresh veggies :p

Lettuce. A little dirty because our garden has really gotten hit with a lot of rain. Had a half inch again yesterday and it was rain off and on all day today. It's not going to end until some time tomorrow.
